Love and Wisdom

Love and Wisdom

A reader comments on the quote, “Truth that is true and nothing else is true.” He asks who it is that determines what is true as many think their false beliefs are true.

This quote comes from the Course in Miracles.

Truth is not determined by anyone. It just is what it is and does not change because of anyone’s determination or judgment.

For instance it is true that I will write three X’s in the next paragraph as follows:

XXX

Now if a person “determines” that there is four X’s, will that change what I have written here at this moment in time and space?

No.

It will be true for all eternity that at this moment in time and space I have written three X’s. What someone believes about what I have written changes nothing about this post I am making.

Now some make a valid point that a misconception or illusionary perception of a past event will cause a current belief system based on illusion that seems as real as one based on truth.

Let us suppose for instance that Ben Franklin was a bad dude and sacrificed children to satanic rituals. Up to now we have had no evidence of such deeds and our belief toward him is as if he were squeaky clean. On the other hand, our illusionary data does not change the nature of what really happened at that time and if he did malfeasant deeds they will have created subtle long lasting effects of which we are consciously unaware.

From Keith’s last post I think we are seeing eye to eye. The victor in any war will certainly color their history in their favor. True history is difficult to discern. To get a true picture one must either read two points of view or the writings of an historian who lives maybe 100 years after the event so he has little emotional investment in the presentation.

Take Bill Clinton these past eight years, for instance (written June, 2000). Two people, one a friend and one a foe, could write a biography of him today and you would think they were writing about two different people. It may take some time period before he will be able to be judged impartially.

One would have to be close to initiate status to write an accurate book about him today.

Yes, it would be a shock to learn for sure that Ben Franklin was a Satanist who sacrificed children. If this is true it would mean one of two things.

(1) He was a plant from the Dark Brothers to subtly sabotage the drive for independence. It is interesting that before the war he did all he could to reconcile the colonies to the crown.

(2) He was a worker of light at heart who temporarily yielded to temptation. I tend to go with this option (if the story is true). Workers in the light have been known to take some great slips and then recover and redeem themselves. Paul who persecuted the Christians is a prime example.

Note: At the time the discovery of bones in Franklins English residence was in the news. Here is a link to more details:

A reader says:

“No ‘thing’ can happen to you, without your conscious or unconscious thought.”

There is no such thing as unconscious thought. Thought only springs from consciousness. What people call the unconscious within us is really computer-like programs that are on line running with no more consciousness than this computer I am working on. All of our programming though was created by conscious thought at some time in the distant past.

I think we all clearly observe that many things happen to us that originate outside of our own conscious thought. I may step on some gum and not know it for some time. The event had to do with the conscious thought of whoever chewed the gum and threw it in my path rather than any thought I possess.

The reality of this is so obvious I am surprised this subject would come up.

Cause and effect manifesting thought and decision caused chaos to gravitate to organization. All organization we see before us – such as the human cell or DNA is the result of conscious thought on some level, but now operates automatically below the threshold of consciousness.

Thought and energy corresponds to the chicken and the egg and are related. Thought is organized energy.

You are not your body, you are not your feelings and you are not your mind or thoughts.

What are you?

You are that power within that can make a decision from which purpose and potential power reside and from which all things spring.

A reader maintains that we can insulate ourselves from all negativity with the right attitude of thought.

No one can close the door to all negativity. As long as we live in this reality, the door of the dualities of positive and negative is always open and only seems closed to one in illusionary thought, though an enlightened soul can successfully navigate the waters of the waves of duality. The good sailor does not pretend the waves do not exist, but makes a judgment about the conditions and acts accordingly.

There is much misunderstanding concerning the Dark Brothers. The most common one is that the aspirant will often think he is being targeted by them when he is merely undergoing the trials of ordinary living. Only when you personally become a threat to their goals will you be in danger of attack. They do affect average people but only through group influence and not individually.

It is illusion to believe that a positive attitude, having no fear, or just closing a door could shut them out. This seems to work for most new agers with this attitude because they pose no threat to them, but if a powerful Dark Brother or his group decided to attack what we would call a normal positive person with no obvious fears or negativity I will guarantee you this person would have an instant change of thought in his view of the dark forces.

Every great avatar that has ever walked the earth, including Jesus and Buddha, has had to wrestle with a direct attack from these Dark Ones in one form or another. I know of no current disciple greater than they.

If one is attacked, positive thinking and the control of fear will help but that alone is not enough for victory. Other factors include centering your attention on the true light within and strengthening your link between matter and spirit. The disciple must gather around him spiritual force of equal or greater strength than the dark brothers have in negative energy through which they attack.

Direct attacks from the Dark Brothers are only used when nothing else works for them. Overall they have found that honey works better for them than vinegar. They can manipulate unsuspecting people of goodwill through their illusionary beliefs and egos and often achieve their ends by dividing and frustrating the work of disciples.

Some are against war or killing in any situation. They think that it was wrong for the German conspirators to attempt to kill Hitler even though it would have saved millions of lives.

Many within the New Age community seem to have this type of thinking. To this let me present the writings of a Master of Wisdom (Djwhal Khul) given during the time that World War II was raging and it seemed that the forces of light were in danger of losing to Hitler.

“It is because of the delay in right understanding, and the slowness of many to appreciate the true situation, that Those Who guide the race and work on the spiritual side of life have been unable to do much up to date except spiritually strengthen the hands of the workers with the Forces of Light. The faith of many has kept the door ajar, yet even these have forgotten frequently that “faith without works is dead.” It is only when faith finds active expression upon the physical plane in right cooperation and sacrifice (even unto death) that the door can be forced wide open and divine intervention become possible. It is only when the vision and dream of peace-which beguiles so many well-meaning people-gives way to the determination to take every possible means to achieve that peace in practical ways upon the physical plane that the inner spiritual forces will be enabled to work also more actively on earth.

“Curiously enough, they are often hindered today by the idealists, who love their ideals more than they love humanity and who cling to their special interpretations of what they think Christ meant, at the same time excluding that real love which characterised His every act and which would drive them into active, selfless service to the Forces of Light. They do nothing to bring the conflict to an end because they are preoccupied with their own dreams, ideals and interpretations; when they can let these go because of love of humanity, then the new vision will come and the world will be saved; the Forces of Light will find potent expression and the forces of aggression will go down to defeat.” The Externalisation of the Hierarchy, Pages 256-257

“… The neutral powers are still selfish (though they seek by philanthropy to veil it), but they are rapidly awakening to the true issues, and when there is real synthesis of goal and of purpose and a true unification of vision upon the mental plane, of fixed and unalterable desire upon the emotional plane, and a dedication to practical effort upon the physical plane, then there will be hope that the embodiment of “the desire of all nations” will appear.

“That embodiment is one mode in which divine intervention can take place. The Prince of Peace will lead His people-through war-to peace. Those who think only in terms of peace as they understand it and desire it are apt to forget the Biblical implication that the Prince of Peace takes a definite part in the battle of Armageddon (now in full progress). After achieving victory, He will then lead His triumphant cohorts through the gates into ‘Jerusalem,’ the city of peace.” (Pages 258-259)

***

“There are two great handicaps to the free expression of the Will force in its true nature. One is the sensitivity of the lower nature to its impact, and its consequent prostitution to selfish ends, as in the case of the sensitive, negative German people and its use by the Axis nations for material objectives. The second is the blocking, hindering, muddled but massed opposition of the well-meaning people of the world who talk vaguely and beautifully about love but refuse to consider the techniques of the Will of God in operation. According to them, that Will is something with which they will personally have naught to do; they refuse to recognise that God works out His Will through men, just as He is ever seeking to express His Love through men; they will not believe that that Will could possibly express itself through the destruction of evil with all the material consequences of that evil. They cannot believe that a God of Love could possibly employ the first divine aspect to destroy the forms which are obstructing the free play of the divine Spirit; that Will must not infringe upon their interpretation of Love. Such people are individually of small moment and of no importance, but their massed negativity is a real detriment to the ending of this war, just as the massed negativity of the German people, and their inability to take right action when Hitler’s purposes were disclosed, made possible the great inflow of ancient and focussed evil which has brought the present catastrophe to man. Such people are like a millstone around the neck of humanity, crippling true effort, murmuring, “Let us love God and each other,” but doing nothing but murmur prayers and platitudes whilst humanity is dying.” (Pages 345-346)

Interesting thoughts from a Master in the midst of the greatest conflict the world has ever seen. We must ever remember that the heart center is composed of two cooperating energies: Love and Wisdom. In this situation it was indeed wisdom to put Hitler down in any way possible, else love could have no chance to fully manifest upon the earth.

McCall Gathering, 2007, Part 3

This entry is part 3 of 54 in the series McCall Gathering 2007

The Transition from the Age of Pisces

to the Age of Aquarius

JJ: It is a fact that in each age people are deceived as to what is good and what is evil. Isaiah said this, “as the people call good, evil and evil, good, they take the light for darkness and the darkness for light. There is none that does good, no not one.” So you can visualize him going around and preaching his message and no one understood what was good and what was evil. It was very simple, for it goes back to the Garden of Eden. The serpent offers them the temptation of the forbidden fruit and Adam & Eve take it. After they had taken the fruit the gods come and say what?

Audience: Man is to become like one of us to know good from evil.

JJ: Well that is an interesting statement, is it not? You become like God when you know good from evil. The man is to become “like one of us” to know good from evil. To know good from evil is to have the power of the gods. And remember the word God in the Old Testament in the story of the Garden of Eden, comes from Elohiym, which means gods, plural. So the gods came down, and the gods spoke; and said that the man is to become like one of us, plural, to know good from evil. We could substitute that in today’s language and say that the Masters spoke and one Master said to another Master, behold the man is to become like one of us, to know good from evil. And we move ahead from Genesis a couple thousand years and Isaiah says that there is not ONE person that I have met that knows the difference between what is good and what is evil. Why is it so difficult? We look at people today and say; well everyone thinks they know the difference between good and evil.

Audience: If they did then we would not have politics.

JJ: (Laughter) Yes, but see we think we know the difference between good and evil because we look on the past as to what is settled between good and evil. We now look on the past and we see slavery was evil, that’s very obvious but it was not obvious when we were in the midst of it. It is what we are in the midst of. It is where the forces of good and evil are moving right now that determine the good and evil of our day. Forget what is good and evil in the past, we know that stealing is bad and adultery is bad and robbing your neighbor is bad, hurting someone physically is bad, certain things are established as naughty things that we should not be doing, right. Certain things are established but that is not, knowing the difference. That is established because we have been told that from the time we were kids. There are certain things that are ingrained in us that society as a whole has learned. But, then there is the point in the present. In the present there is a point where we are struggling to surface a new good or we go backward to an old evil. That is where knowing what is good and what is evil that gives you the power of the Gods. That is what is really important and this is where few people can see the difference.

JJ: Now let’s go back to the 1930’s in America. Hitler was surfacing and how many people could see that evil was materializing in the world?

Audience: Winston Churchill could.

JJ: Right, not very many people could see, Winston Churchill was visiting Germany and there was a town nearby where Hitler was giving some type of speech and if I remember right he came across some type of flier, read it and when Churchill read this flier he had a really bad feeling. He did not know why he had a really bad feeling, so he looked into Hitler and he had a much worse feeling. (Chuckle) Churchill was probably the first man of note that saw that something was amiss with this guy Hitler and that Hitler was a gathering storm to be concerned about.

So, for the next seven years he spent trying to warn his country about Hitler and what a danger he was. Now, Churchill tried to get France and England to use their forces to put Hitler out of commission before he could become a power that they would have to deal with. As a matter of fact a couple of years before World War II started Churchill warned people and said, “We can put Hitler down now and have a few thousand lives lost, or we can wait and loose millions of lives.” He had that much foresight to see what was on the horizon, of what was to come.

Churchill had the foresight to tell what was good and what was evil. On the other hand, there were many other people who could not see the difference here between the good and the evil. Look at JFK, many thought he was a great president, but his Father, Joseph Sr. thought Hitler was a great guy. He did business with Hitler and supported him. Henry Ford built cars for Hitler and made business arrangements with him. Manufactures & industrialists catered to Hitler and thought it was good business and did not see anything wrong with it. They thought that Hitler could be dealt with and thought that he could be reasoned with and when word started to filter in that Hitler was persecuting the Jews and torturing his own people everyone thought that they were just lies being spread and if that were true we would know about it and of course they did not look into it.

They could not see the evil that was beginning to surface until it was too late. When it did come it hit them like a very hard knock on the head. Russia alone lost 20 million people. Larry, do you remember how many people the United States lost?

Audience: Larry: The United States lost the fewest.

(Transcriber: Wikipedia quotes the estimates the death toll between 62 to 78 million. U.S. estimated death toll from 500, 000 to 800,000. Russia and China had the highest death toll estimates at 10 to 20 million each.)

JJ: Yes, we lost the fewest but didn’t we lose hundreds of thousands I believe. England lost a lot. I think the death toll was at least around 60 million killed in World War II. It has been a while since I read it. If the evil could have been seen in advance it could have been just a couple thousand, so that is the difference and hardly anybody could see it.

Just before World War II there was a big peace movement, Eleanor Roosevelt was one of the big leaders in this peace movement and she did not really support her husband in going to war and thank God that FDR had enough intelligence to see that once the handwriting was on the wall that Hitler had to be dealt with even though his own wife did not see it and did not support FDR in putting Hitler down. Eleanor Roosevelt was a big star in the peace movement herself, Charles Lindbergh, a hero, was totally against going to war and he fought tooth and nail to keep us out of World War II. Even during the war he was against it. It is amazing how many people just could not see the evil that was right in front of them.

Sometimes if seeing an evil means we are going to have to face it, and is going to be a great struggle, then we do not want to see it, and because we do not want to see it, we do not see it. We have the same thing today with different evils facing us in the present time we are in.

The basic evil always boils down to one thing and that is, it is always around the principle of freedom. That which is good increases freedom and gives more freedom of thought and ability to have prosperity and make money, to think for our selves, and decide for our selves. That which is evil takes this away and restricts us. It will give freedom to the few while the many will suffer many restrictions. The people that want that freedom to have the authority of the beast over everyone else, these are the people that will never let you know that your freedoms are going to be lost.

They always speak in the name of freedom. Whenever Hitler got up and spoke, he spoke about all the freedom everyone was going to have when he won the war. “We are going to give Germany tremendous freedom.” Well a handful at the top had a tremendous amount of freedom but not the masses. The masses would be very restricted and the people that were the wrong race would be enslaved and eliminated completely.

And so this evil could not be seen and much of it is due to deceit. Always remember that those who want to take away your freedom will never tell you, “hey we are going to take away your freedom and there is going to be a handful at the top who are going to tell everyone what to do and we are will have all the money, power, wine, women and song and the rest of you will slaves.” They will never say that though, they will always say, we are going to give you more freedom and when we eliminate this bad guys then we will reward the masses greatly.

Of course that does not happen. Look at North Korea, only one man has freedom there and that Kim Jon Ill. He is about the only guy that has freedom in country with a population of over 20 million people. The people are so poor there that they are eating the bark off of trees and many are just completely starving to death. We send food over there to help them out and the military takes it and the common people get nothing. We try to give it to the common people but Kim Jon Ill feels that he has to have everything better than everyone else.

His rice is selected grain by grain by slaves who sift through it and by hand select the larger grains for their great leader. The poor people that are picking out the grains are starving to death themselves while being forced to do this labor for Kim Jon Ill so that he can have one dish of rice. These poor people have to eat bark off of trees and grass and things like this and watch their children starve to death.

So it is amazing how none of these tyrants weather in the present or the past will admit that they have not served their people well. They will not admit that they have taken away the freedom from their people. When the people of France came to Marie Antoinette she said, well, let them eat cake. She said that because she thought the people were taken care of, she was in such an isolated world that she was not aware of how her actions were causing people to starve to death. She was just so insulated that when she was told that the people did not have bread she said, well, let them eat cake!  That so enraged them that it caused her death. It was more than the starving people could handle to have a statement like that thrown at them when they realized how much illusion she was in.

Transcriber Note: Wikipedia & Urban legends claim that there is no record to confirm that Marie Antoinette actually said the now famous phrase; “Let them eat cake.” The following is from Wikipedia: Although commonly attributed to Queen Marie Antoinette,[1] there is no record of these words ever having been uttered by her; they first appear in The Confessions of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, his putative autobiographical work (completed in 1769, when Marie Antoinette was 13), where he wrote the following in Book 6:

Enfin je me rappelai le pis-aller d’une grande princesse à qui l’on disait que les paysans n’avaient pas de pain, et qui répondit : Qu’ils mangent de la brioche.

Finally I recalled the last resort of a great princess who was told that the peasants had no bread, and who responded: “Let them eat brioche.”

Rousseau does not name the “great princess” and there is speculation that he invented the anecdote, which has no other sources.

(JJ Note: Our transcriber, Robert, is correct but the principle still applies. Marie Antoinette was living large and out of touch with the deprivations of the people and this fueled their rebellion.

This brings up an interesting point. The Internet has been blamed for much misinformation, but what is overlooked is that it is also the means of correcting many falsehoods like this one. No one seemed to question Marie Antoinette’s statement until the truth began circulating on the Internet. Now most people are aware of the it. It is still possible she said something like this, but there is no solid proof).

Bernie Sanders – The New Hitler

10

APRIL 1, 2016

Bernie Sanders – The New Hitler

Since the left is so eager to use the Hitler/Nazi card on the people of the right let us see how they like it if we use the same tactics, but with one caveat. We will not tell any lies or distort anything that Bernie has said.

Surely you must be joking,” says a Bernie supporter. “Bernie is just a kind old man, the furthest thing from Hitler.”

I have news for you. Many on the right think the accusations of their guys being like Hitler are ridiculous and mean spirited also. Turnabout is fair play, so let us compare Bernie to Hitler and Nazism and see how he measures up.

Here are some correspondences just as good or better than those made recently against Trump.

(1) Bernie draws large enthusiastic supportive crowds, just like Hitler did.

(2) Bernie’s supporters use intimidating methods in attempts to silence those who may oppose him or speak against him.

Just as Hitler did not need to give direct orders to silence opposition Bernie’s supports knew what to do and shut down Trump’s Chicago rally while shouting out Bernie’s name. They are trying to prevent Trumps free speech in numerous other towns even going so far as to block a major highway in Arizona. That could not only have limited free speech but was also a route to a hospital and may have endangered lives. The protesters did not care though just as the Nazis did not care about such things.

(3) Hitler’s National Socialist Party had much in common with Bernie’s national socialism. It is a fact that they both called themselves socialists.

Both of them support the power of the state stepping in and forcing business to work toward the common good.

Both advocate free education with the government making sure the youth are educated properly.

Both advocated freedom of religion UNLESS they offend the “moral and ethical sense” of those in charge.

The stated Nazi goal was:

COMMON GOOD BEFORE INDIVIDUAL GOOD

In order to carry out this program we demand: the creation of a strong central authority in the State, the unconditional authority by the political central parliament of the whole State and all its organizations.

Bernie indeed wants a strong central government which would be necessary to carry out his reforms.

(4) Both Sanders and Hitler believed in “common sense” gun control and restrictions regulated by the national, not state or local governments.

(5) Neither Hitler and Sanders had a regular job until they were about 40. Until that time they spent much of their time promoting their political agendas. Both got in trouble with the law because of their political activities.

(6) The only real and regular jobs both men had was working for the state and being paid by taxpayers.

(7) Both Sanders and Hitler believed and promoted universal health care.

(8) Both men stressed the importance of creating a “living wage” for the masses.

(9) Both men liked carrots.

We could continue, but you get the point, right?

Bernie Sanders must be Hitler come again.

Don’t laugh. That is what I would be proclaiming if I had the same mindset as Bernie and Clinton supporters calling Trump and others Hitler.

Do I really think Bernie is like Hitler?

Overall, the answer is no, but there are some similarities. After all, all of us have some things in common with Hitler as well as every other human being on the planet.

Both Hitler and Bernie like carrots. I also like carrots, but I am not much like either of them.

These comparisons were done to make a point. You can find as much or more that Bernie has in common with Hitler than Trump, Cruz or any conservative.

In real life I would not compare Sanders or anyone else, as a whole, to Hitler unless they really started acting out the horrific things Hitler did. Such accusations are below the belt.

Instead of mindless Hitler accusations we are much better off debating the issues involved in a civil manner. Maybe if we actually do some thinking instead of just reacting on an emotional level some minds may be changed for the better.

The Hitler-Trump Accusations

April 1, 2016

The Hitler-Trump Accusations

I do not know how many times I have heard haters lately speak of Donald Trump in comparison to Hitler and other dictators since he announced a run for the presidency. I believe that a new record level of mean spiritedness has been achieved as well as a distortion and outright fabrication of the facts.

What is the source of all this fear and attack, rampant to the extent that all effort is being made to stop Trump from even speaking or supporters to even hear his words?

It is clearly revealed in a principle which is this:

That thing which an individual most despises and fears is that which strongly exists within him or her, but is not recognized or acknowledged by such a person.

Applying this principle it becomes clear that those who most loudly attack others as being like Hitler or dictators are internally acknowledging that they themselves would be a supporter of strong authoritarian dictatorial rule. Of course, that assumes that a dictator-like leader would support their own personal dogmas.

It is amazing how many see authoritarian power as benevolent as long as the dictator agrees with them, but when the tables are turned then things are different. Whether there is abuse of power or not, if the guy doesn’t get his way the cry of Hitlerism may go forth.

The ideal here is to be objective and balanced and be against an abuse of power whether we benefit or not. Instead of asking, “What is the benefit to me?” one needs to first ask, “Is there a misuse of power that is going against the will of the people?”

Now as far as Trump goes, the guy has never held office, never raised anyone’s taxes, never raised the national debt limit, never passed any restrictive laws so comparing him to Hitler is extreme indeed. When we examine his life we see positive and negative things but nothing much out of the ordinary for your average billionaire. If he was going to be like a Hitler you would think there would be some signs of it by now as he approaches 70 years of age.

After all, the real bad guys showed their true colors at a fairly young age. These include Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Stalin, and Mao.

One of the first things to take into consideration with Hitler accusations is Godwin’s Law which is basically this:

When a person runs low on reason in an argument, the tendency is to resort to comparing opponents to Hitler or the Nazis. When this happens the perpetrator has generally stooped low enough to be considered the loser in the debate.

Now Godwin recognized that there are rare times that a legitimate comparison to Hitler may be in order, but over 90% of the Hitler or Nazi accusations have no foundation in reality. They are just thrown out there by insecure people who do not have the intelligence to debate the real issues with facts and reason.

This seems to be the case with the Trump accusations as most of them are just plain silly. They seem to be contrived to deceive and destroy rather than to reveal any truth.

Let us take a look at some of the Hitler accusations against Trump.

(1) He draws large enthusiastic crowds like Hitler did.

The reality:

Drawing a large supportive crowd is not a sign that the person is good or bad, right or wrong. It is merely an indication that the person is interesting.

Bernie Sanders also draws large enthusiastic crowds and I see no Democrats comparing him to Hitler. Obama, Reagan, JFK, FDR and others drew large crowds and I do not see anyone today comparing any of them to the great dictator.

And how about Elvis, the Beatles and the Stones? They drew more enthusiastic large crowds than any politician?

Were they like Hitler?

Like I say, this is a silly comparison.

(2) Trump is anti immigration and wants to build a wall.

This is supposed to make him like Hitler who hated Jews and exterminated 6,000,000 of them.

This is a very mean spirited deceptive comparison. First, it is a total lie that Trump is anti immigration. He is pro immigration which is legal according to laws passed by both parties. He is against those who cross our boarders illegally. These are not even immigrants, but illegals. He wants a wide door open for those who respect our laws.

Few seem to realize today that both Sanders and Clinton took positions in the past similar to Trump’s current one.

In 2003 during an interview on The John Gambling Radio Show when she was a New York senator, Clinton said, “I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants. … We’ve got to do more at our borders and people have got to stop employing illegal immigrants.”

During a CNN interview with Lou Dobbs in 2007 Sanders said:

“If poverty is increasing and if wages are going down, I don’t know why we need millions of people to be coming in to this country as guest workers who will work for lower wages than American workers and will drive wages down even lower than they are right now,”

In a speech on the Senate floor in 2007 concerning his no vote on an immigration bill Sanders said the bill was about “bringing into this country over a period of years millions of low-wage temporary workers with the result that wages and benefits in this country, which are already going down, will go down even further.”

Both Sanders and Clinton sounded like Trump just a few years ago yet I do not recall anyone calling them racist, Nazis or like Hitler.

(3) Trump has a plan to register Muslims. The trouble is this is not what Trump said. To this accusation he stated: “I didn’t suggest a database-a reporter did. We must defeat Islamic terrorism & have surveillance, including a watch list, to protect America.”

Obama’s government is already doing more than this in tracking every possible email sent throughout the world and seeking entrance to our mobile devices but I see no Trump critics calling him Hitler.

(4) Trump wants to ban Muslims from entering the United States. At least this is partially true. Trump does want a temporary ban until more security can be established. But this does not correlate to anything Hitler did with the Jews. Jews were not complaining about not being able to get into Nazi Germany. Their complaint was that they couldn’t get out. Muslims here are not complaining that they cannot leave.

(5) Trump’s delivery is similar to Hitler. This is silly. Anyone who has watched old films of Hitler speaking will see little in comparison. Obama’s guru, Jeremiah Wright, spoke much more on the emotional level like Hitler – though a similar delivery does not make him like Hitler overall.

(6) Trump discredits everybody who disagrees with him.

Most candidates of both parties do this, but it does not make them like Hitler.

(7) Trump advocates enforcing the law.

It may be hard to believe but some are actually equating Trump with Hitler for wanting to enforce existing law. If this is the case then we must have millions of potential Hitlers in this country for most people support having laws and obeying them.

They do not realize that Hitler was his own law and didn’t respect any law with which he did not agree.

This is another accusation I place in the silly category.

(8) Trump sells hate to the poor and ignorant.

Now Hitler was a true promoter of hate toward the Jews and discriminated against many others. He blamed the Jews as being a part of an international conspiracy wanting to take over the world. He saw them as sub human and denied them citizenship because of their race.

This is nothing like anything Trump advocates. Trump has expressed no hate toward any race, sex or religion and has employed many of them. Some individuals get under his skin, but they are mostly white guys.

Trumps supporters come from the rich and the poor, the educated and the no so educated.

Again, comparing Trump to Hitler because he is supposed to hate certain groups is silly.

(9) Trump is in possession of a book of Hitler’s speeches which was given to him as a gift from a friend.

One article I read made a big deal out of this thinking it was solid proof Trump is like Hitler.

Again this is silly. I have the same book and also have read Mein Kampf, but I am totally against what Hitler stood for. I also have and have read Obama’s autobiography, but that does not make me a supporter. Many people read all kinds of books about both good and bad guys that that does not make them like any of them.

That is enough to give any honest reader a general idea of the crazy thinking out there. What has been overlooked here is that two can play this game.

If the left can make crazy and illogical links between those on the right and Hitler then it should be fair game to use their own rules and equate their guys with Hitler.

We’ll look at Bernie Sanders next.

Thoughts on Mussolini

March 15, 2016

Thoughts on Mussolini

I had read about Mussolini a number of times in various books that covered World War II, but never anything in depth. Since I was going to compare him with Trump I thought I needed a better grasp of the man so started doing some research including buying a biography that had good reviews. It was called Mussolini, The Rise and Fall of Il Duce, by Christopher Hibbert.

I thought the book was well written and it painted a different image of the guy than is the common perception.

Since he was viewed as Hitler’s partner in crime he is seen by many as being worse than Stalin and right up there with Hitler himself as a bad guy. What few realize is that if he were not seduced by Hitler and almost forced to enter the war he may have gone down in history as a beloved leader rather than one that was despised.

It is true that he took the office as prime minister by overthrowing the government by force and that is a big negative for any lover of freedom, but the masses didn’t seem to complain that much as many had hope he would improve things. They seemed to be eerily supportive of turning over their freedoms to a strong man.

Mussolini claimed to have the welfare of his people as his prime objective and to his credit he did work in this direction at first, though not without inflicting punishment to those who got in the way. He started many public works projects, put people to work and generated praise, not only from his people but throughout the world. He had some people in the United States and England thinking that a dictatorship may be a better form of government than a democracy.

It is interesting that he was given tremendous praise from both conservatives and liberals. Shortly after he had taken over the government by force the New York Times said: Mussolini’s fascism was “the most interesting governmental experiment of the day….We should all be glad that he is going at it vigorously.”

He also received praise from, FDR, the U.S. President: “There seems to be no question that [Mussolini] is really interested in what we are doing and I am much interested and deeply impressed by what he has accomplished and by his evidenced honest purpose of restoring Italy.”

FDR adviser Rexford Guy Tugwell said of Italian fascism: “It’s the cleanest, neatest, most efficiently operating piece of social machinery I’ve ever seen. It makes me envious.”

New Republic editor George Soule, who avidly supported FDR, noted approvingly that the Roosevelt administration was “trying out the economics of fascism.”

Mussolini also gave praise back to Roosevelt saying: “Reminiscent of Fascism is the principle that the state no longer leaves the economy to its own devices.…Without question, the mood accompanying this sea change resembles that of Fascism.”

Becoming equated with fascism was seen as a good thing by many before World War II.

On the conservative side none other than Winston Churchill had praise for him.

In 1927 Winston Churchill visited Rome and was widely reported as having said, “If I were an Italian I would don the Fascist Black Shirt. I could not help being charmed … Anyone could see that he thought of nothing but the lasting good, as he understood it, of the Italian people, and that no lesser interest was of the slightest consequence to him.”

Lord Rothermere declared in its columns in the Daily Mail that Mussolini was “the greatest figure of our age.” An English biographer in an extremely laudatory book published in 1932 agreed that, he was “the greatest statesman of our time.”

We could continue with more quotes but this gives the idea. Mussolini received almost universal praise, much more than Hitler ever did. He was pretty much in a league of his own.

Unfortunately a man by the name of Adolf Hitler also admired the guy and incorporated some of his ideas into the Nazi state.

Hitler admired Mussolini so much that he wanted to be not only his partner in war, but his best friend. This desire was not reciprocated as Mussolini despised Hitler in the beginning. In 1934 when he first met Hitler in person he exclaimed that he did not like the look of him and that “He’s quite mad.”

Unfortunately for Mussolini Hitler had a fatal attraction toward him. He seemed more obsessed with making Mussolini his best friend than having Italy’s support in the war. Hitler did everything he could to draw Mussolini into a partnership and as Hitler’s success grew Mussolini began to feel that maybe he had something to offer after all. He even incorporated the Nazi salute and the goose step for his military.

Mussolini strongly disagreed with Hitler starting a war in 1939 but after it was begun their was no turning back and Mussolini had to pick sides. Using intimidation Hitler put enormous pressure on him to join forces. He reluctantly cooperated as he didn’t think his country was prepared for such a coming conflict.

Once in he found he had to cooperate or risk Hitler’s wrath and even though he had previously had no animosity toward the Jews he cooperated with the Nazis in discriminating against them and rounding them up.

Once he had committed Italy to the war his popularity dropped like a rock and he became one of the most hated leaders in the world. He was forced out of power by a revolt in 1943, but Hitler used force to temporarily reinstall him. Near the end of the war he was assassinated and strung up by his feet after which his people, who previously loved, him cursed at him, riddled him with bullets and rocks until his corpse was barely recognizable.

It is interesting that we may owe a great debt to Mussolini. As the war was nearing an end and Hitler realized he was going to loose he blamed Mussolini for his impending defeat. He said that Mussolini’s lackluster performance had caused such a diversion of Nazi resources and energy that had he not paid so much attention to the guy that he could have prevailed.

Sometimes the bad guys in the equation are their own worst enemy.

Zion, Part 6

This entry is part 46 of 49 in the series JJ Lectures

Part 6

JJ: The pure in heart are basically those hearts who are uncorrupted by outside influences; in other words, “except ye become as a little child than ye shall not enter into the kingdom of God.” And why is that? Because the child has an uncorrupted heart and a child’s heart is not corrupted by anything until somebody arrives and becomes his outside god. So what we have to do is become like a child to that extent.

People take this the wrong way and think that we should be kind of uneducated and ignorant that we should become a child in that way. There is nothing wrong with becoming educated and learning. To be like a child in the right way is to have that attitude that all things are possible and that everything that you are saying may or may not be true, to be receptive to whatever is taught.

If I were to give this same lecture in the local church the reception would be entirely different and many people would get up and walk away when I was ten minutes into a presentation like this because their heart is not receptive to all possibilities. They are only receptive to what has been established by an outward authority. They are not looking toward the inner authority for the outward authority is so difficult to master. It must be overcome to build Zion because we cannot gather the pure in heart unless there are pure in heart available.

You can become pure in heart by overcoming the mark of the beast and what is the mark of the beast? The mark of the beast is not what you have been told in all the religious literature. The mark of the beast is not an actual physical mark that is put on your right hand. Did you know that Hitler put a mark on the left hand of all the Jews? Why do you suppose he did that? Because a lot of people thought that he was the beast and so he said, “Well I will fool them and put a mark on the left hand.”

So he put a mark on all the Jews’ left hand and he put a Nazi Swastika on the left arm of his followers so the Nazi sign would not be on the right hand or arm and no one would associate him with using the mark of the beast. I found this to be quite interesting because he was the epitome of the beast and history illustrates that he tried to get out of being the beast by creating an illusion. But the funny thing is he was escaping something that was not really the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast is not a little mark on your right hand or your forehead. In Revelation chapter 14 it talks about people who escape the mark of the beast which are the 144,000 that follow the Christ wherever He goeth and these people had a mark in their forehead that was different from the mark of the beast in the forehead. Does anyone remember what that mark in the forehead of those who followed the Christ?

The name of GOD in their forehead was the mark of those who escaped the mark of the beast. What does that mean? Why would the name of GOD in your forehead allow you to escape the mark of the beast?

When you understand what the mark of the beast is the scriptures make perfect sense. I have written a treatise on this and you can look it up online. I will just cover the basics here and you can read more online. The right hand symbolizes labor and the forehead symbolizes thought. Now part of the reason he is called the beast is because those who follow him are herded like animals. An animal does not reason and it is herded and it has to go where directed and it has no choice in the matter. It just accepts the master, the Sheppard the herder or who ever it is that is controlling and he has to go where he is told and produce what he is told to produce and has no choice in the matter.

Those who have the mark of the beast on the right hand, which symbolizes labor, are those who work for some authority because they are told to do it. They do not think about disobeying and they work because they are told. Now this happens in religion, government, politics, medicine, and Unions. This blind following appears in organizations all over the world. In other words if somebody tells you that you must do a certain type of labor, you do the labor right or wrong.

This is what the beastly follower must do to be approved by God, by the government, to be approved by the American Medical Association, to be approved by legal organizations, this is what you must do for your labor and the authority that tells them to do it is what I call an unproven, unearned authority, an unjust authority.

There are two types of authorities. To illustrate, let’s pick an authority teaching Spanish. When an authority speaks Spanish or a teacher is going to teach Spanish, they say I am an authority and I am going to teach you Spanish. Now the wise student will test the teacher and listen to him speak some Spanish to prove that he is good at it. So the teacher brings a Spanish book and speaks in Spanish to the student who realizes he can speak Spanish really good, no accent or anything.

Okay so the teacher has proven that he can do it. Now another Spanish teacher cannot really speak it very good and the student says prove to me you can speak Spanish and the teacher says how dare you challenge me, I have credentials and I can speak Spanish as well as anyone and I do not need to prove it. You just sit there and obey and I will teach the class.

This is an unearned authority, he has not proven he can speak Spanish and he has not proven he can teach it. The first is a just authority and the second is an unjust authority. One is an earned authority and the other is an unearned authority. In the system of the beast one does not have to earn his authority, he is just granted it. He is granted it and because he is in a system where the authority is recognized and we are supposed to obey without question. How many times has just a regular member of the church, for instance, studied the scriptures and he thinks, I wonder what the prophet thinks of this?

Or he wonders if the bishop realizes this or what the stake president thinks. Maybe a student reads something in a school textbook and wants the physics teacher to approve the theory of relativity? It is quite possible that they do not understand it as well as you do and that you are a better authority than they are.

If a leaders are unearned authorities and you feel an obligation to follow them then you have the mark of the beast on the right hand. So what is the mark of the beast on the forehead? The forehead symbolizes thinking.

This reminds me of a friend of mine. Curtis and I were talking to him some years ago and we asked him what he thought about a certain thing out of the scriptures and he says I do not know what I think and I will go and talk to my bishop and find out what I think. We thought this funny, but the sad thing about this is that it is true and many people will say I do not know what I think and I will talk to the authorities and find out what I am supposed to think about that. Now if you have this attitude then you have the mark of the beast in the forehead. If you are a member of the Democrat or Republican Party and you say well I will just go ahead with this because my party believes it. If you are not really thinking it out for yourself but just going ahead because your party believes it or because somebody else tells you or go along with it because everybody else is going along with it then you have the mark of the beast in the forehead.

If you come across some herbs or something that may help somebody with their health issues and some association or the American Medical Association or what ever association they belong to whether it be your doctor, local hospital, or some group tells you, no you cannot use these then the person has the mark of the beast in his forehead and right hand. He cannot think about following the highest be knows because he is told that he cannot maintain his status if he recommends these oddball healing methods. An unjust authority controls him and he has the mark of the beast in the forehead and the right hand.

In order to become pure in heart, one must escape the mark of the beast. His only infallible authority is his soul and it is found in the doorway to the heart and also connected to the mind. As the revelation says in the Doctrine & Covenants, “Behold I will reveal to you in your heart and in your mind.” The heart is the doorway to the soul that must be opened leading to the higher mind to all to all kinds of revelations that you can receive without the static from the beast that is out there.

Fiat Money of the Past, Part 6

This entry is part 22 of 31 in the series 2011B

German Money

Of all the incidents of failed money in history the poster child of bad money is that of the Weimar Republic of Germany in 1923. Unfortunately, this is often used as an example of why fiat money must be avoided like the plague.

Those who put the blame on fiat money make the mistake of lumping all fiat money into one category but as was pointed out earlier there are two categories of fiat money.  Here they are again:

(1) Money created by private banks or institutions and loaned out at interest. Most of our national debt is created this way. The Federal Reserve creates the money by fiat and loans it to the government at interest. There are many variations of this  category, some fairly workable and others doomed to failure.

(2) Interest and debt free money created or approved by the government.

The Greenbacks that we just covered was in the second category.  This has been proven historically to be much more stable than the private fiats that create debt and interest.

The fiat attackers make the mistake of lumping all forms of fiat money together as being equally bad and dangerous. Nowhere is this more apparent than their portraying the Weimar republic’s money as being no different than the Greenback.

Most writers talk about the German inflation problem as beginning in 1919 or 1921 but the problem really began at the beginning of World War I in 1914. By the time 1921 rolled around those who were on fixed incomes and depended on savings or government bonds for retirement or security were largely wiped out by the high inflation leading up to that date. From the beginning of the war in 1914 to its end in 1918 prices of consumer goods increased over 200%. By February 1920 shortly after the Treaty of Versailles internal prices jumped over 500% and prices of imported products skyrocketed to 1898% over the 1914 level.

Unfortunately, Germany could not pay off their draconian war reparations with inflated Marks but had to pay them with foreign currency values. This meant that when the Mark lost half of its value it took 200 of them to pay for what only took 100 earlier.

This situation accompanied by unlimited printing from private banks created an inflation slide of historical proportions.

By July 1922 it took 300 Marks to equal one U.S. dollar. By November it took 9000 and by January of 1923 it was a whopping 49,000.  That was just the beginning of the sinkhole.  By July 1923 the figure was 1,100,000 and by Mid November it reached the legendary 2.5 trillion marks to equal one U.S. dollar. Billion mark notes were traded as almost worthless paper.

It is a blatantly false and disingenuous comparison to compare the Weimar money as being equivalent to the Greenbacks.  Let us examine the differences so the reader can judge correctly.

(1) The Greenback was issued by the government
The Weimar money was issued by private banks – led by the Reichsbank.  This was similar to the Federal Reserve, which, contrary to the sound of its name, was privately owned and publicly controlled.  May 26 1922 private business was given complete control over the Reichsbank and the issuing of currency.

Most hyperinflation commentators blame the government as having sole responsibility for issuing so much money but it was done through the privately owned Reichsbank and other private issuers of the Mark. The Greenback was not issued by a private or semi private bank but by the U.S. government.

(2) The Weimar Mark was created by loans at interest whereas the Greenback was created without interest involved.

(3) The Weimar Mark had no limitations on its issue.  The Greenback’s issue was limited to $450 million.

A heroic German, named Hjalmar Schacht, who became the Commissioner of Currency, finally brought the inflation under control. He prohibited the private banks from creating Marks and established a new Mark – the Rentenmark. The new Mark had a value equal to an astounding $4.2 trillion of the old Marks. He then established guidelines for limited issue and created regulations that dramatically slowed the currency speculation that had been adding to inflation.

Within a year the currency reached an amazing degree of stabilization despite the fact they still had reparations to deal with.

After 1929 a great depression was forced upon most of the world. By 1932 Germany had suffered economic effects similar to that of the United States including a 30% unemployment rate and a 41% dip in industrial production. One could say they were lucky it was not worse considering they had war reparations to pay off.

This was the situation when Adolf Hitler came to power.

Now before I write more about Hitler let me make something crystal clear because many others who have written about Hitler’s economic recovery have been maliciously accused of being a Hitler lover or sympathizer.  This is not the case with me nor is it the vast majority of writers on this subject.

BUT… there is one thing that is agreed on by those who despise Hitler’s philosophy and that is – he was an evil genius.

It’s fine with people if you talk about the evil part but as soon as you talk about the genius part there is danger of being lumped with Neo Nazis or worse.

This is unfortunate as we need examine Hitler without blinders on if we wish to neutralize such tyrants in the future.

When Hitler took over Germany on January 30, 1933 Germany was in the middle of a great depression and the little gold they had was storming out of the country. By 1934 they only had 83 million Marks worth of gold, a loss of about 97% of their supplies since 1929.

Basing an economic recovery on gold would have been pure fantasy.

Instead of descending the country further into economic chaos, as many expected, Hitler surprised the world by creating a teeming economic system in a few short years.  Between 1933-1938 the Nazi economy grew by 9.5% per year. They built many public works projects such as dams and about 1900 miles of the current autobahn. Housing construction doubled. By 1936 unemployment was over 80% gone and by 1938 it was virtually non-existent for they had more jobs available than there were laborers to fill them.

By contrast FDR and his New Deal was not working so well. In 1938 the United States was in a depression within the depression with unemployment at 19% and many were committing suicide rather than endure a continued struggle.

Some say that Hitler achieved full employment because he borrowed money and put people to work on government projects.  That explanation does not cut it because FDR did the same thing yet his economy was in shambles.

What was the difference then?

There were several.  Even though Hitler only had a elementary understanding of economics he recognized talent when he saw it. Hjalmar Schacht, who once restored Germany’s economy but quit in frustration in 1930, was appointed by Hitler to be the Reichsbank President in 1933. He enthusiastically supported Hitler until the war and later supported Stauffenberg and the resistance to Hitler. He assisted Hitler in creating Bills of Exchange, similar to what the early American colonists did when they had no gold.

This was powerful fiat money, but still had a disadvantage over the Greenback in that they paid around 4% interest and added to the national debt whereas the greenback was interest free.

Even with this disadvantage they were able to put enough money into circulation to revive the economy whereas money was nowhere to be found or borrowed by the common people in the United States at that time.

By contrast it was said that the German “certificates (were) paid out to employers who undertook projects of replacement or maintenance projects. Anyone who equipped a factory with new machines or who had his house repainted could finance his operations with these work drafts…”
Konrad Heiden, The Fuerher, (Boston: Houghton Mifllin, 1944, page 662.

Hitler’s economy not only did a much better job in making consumers happy and employed but in addition to doing this he built up a military from virtually nothing that challenged everything the banking systems of the whole world could throw at him.  This is even more amazing when you consider that France, England and the United States put very little investment in defense until the War because they had just fought the war to end all wars – World War I.

Hitler often bragged about his economic accomplishments in his speeches.  Here’s just one example:

When I took over the government, I had only one hope on which to build, namely, the efficiency and ability of the German nation and the German workingman; the intelligence of our inventors, engineers, technicians, chemists, and so forth. I built on the strength which animates our economic system. One simple question faced me: Are we to perish because we have no gold; am I to believe in a phantom which spells our destruction? I championed the opposite opinion: Even though we have no gold, we have capacity for work.

The German capacity for work is our gold and our capital, and with this gold I can compete successfully with any power in the world.
DECEMBER 10, 1940 in Berlin

He not only bragged about besting his enemies when he had no gold but he also drew comparisons between Germany and the Allies. Germany only had 85 million people, and a land with limited resources occupying only 232,000 square miles. He compared that to the British Empire that controlled 16 million square miles of land. In addition, there was the Continental United States possessing over 3 million square miles containing vast resources.

We are extremely fortunate that two things were in our favor.

First, we can thank our lucky stars that Hitler did not wait an additional five years to start the war.  Five more years of economic growth and perfecting her military would have made Germany unbeatable.

Secondly, we are lucky that the bankers supported the Allies during the war and that we did have superior resources for we did not have a superior economic system or currency.

It is interesting to note that two of the most significant men in history – Abraham Lincoln (one of the best), and  Adolf Hitler (one of the worst) – both used creative forms of fiat money to advance their cause.  This merely illustrates that money, like electricity is a neutral power. Those bent on destruction can use it to do harm whereas those with good intent can use it constructively or for good.

Today, most of the common people use what power they have for good. They feed their families, heat their homes, travel to see friends and family etc.  The misuse of power usually comes from those who amass great quantities of it for the sake of control over others.  It thus behooves us to do all in our power to make all useful power or energy available to the masses who, on the whole, use it well. This principle certainly applies to money.  If there is abundance of it available to all then the chances are that it will be used constructively for the good of all.

Let it so be.

The Gathering of Lights, Chapter 2

Exclusive Doctrines

There are three basic schools of thought concerning Israel today. The most commonly accepted view is that the Jewish people are Israel. Non-Jews may be adopted into the house of Israel, but only the country of Israel and the Jewish people are the “chosen” ones.

The second doctrine, such as found in the Mormon religion, teaches that the Jews are Gods chosen people, but only several tribes composed the Jewish kingdom. The descendants of Ephraim are scattered throughout the world and are also literal Israelites, but are not Jews. In addition there are the ten lost tribes whose location is unknown that will eventually be reunited with the rest of Israel.

Some believe that all or part of the ten lost tribes are hidden away in some mysterious place whereas others believe them lost because they are scattered among the various people of the earth.

The third view mainly held by white supremists maintains that the modern day Jews are not Israelites at all, but children of the devil. They claim that after the dispersions of Israel non-Israelites returned to Jerusalem and claimed to be descendants of Jacob, but were not. Just about all of the true Israelites are lost and do not know their identity. Most of the Aryan race are Israelites and the true “chosen people”. Some of these extremists view the blacks as subhuman and believe that he is the “beast of the field” talked about in the Bible. They have an even lower view of the Jews for when Christ told them that they were “of your father the devil” John 8:44 they believe he literally meant it. They believe that the devil was a physical being in the garden of Eden and begat children and the descendants are the Jews. The non-Aryan races are also looked upon as inferior and will eventually be servants to the Whites.

Even though the third view causes the greatest consternation with the average person all three are close to be

ing equally dangerous and separative. One cannot emphasize too strongly that without supportiveness and the feeling of being “chosen” above all others Hitler and his Nazi gang could have never risen to power. The forces of evil raise to power by the force of a unified supportiveness; whereas the forces of good and liberty increase through the power of unified inclusiveness. For instance the Constitution of the United States included or protected even the commonest of men and was supported by the unified will of the people, thus the forces of good expanded. The Civil War brought an inclusion of the Black to the basic freedoms of liberty again bringing an expansion of the will-to-good. The granting of suffrage to women was another inclusion. The forces of good include and evil excludes.

The evil of exclusion takes two basic forms: (1) The excluding of others, thus building individual pride and ego. (2) The excluding of self which is false humility.

The first view of Israel stimulates the second evil, the exclusion of self. Those who believe that the Jews alone are God’s chosen ones exclude themselves from this privilege, if they are not a Jew themselves. They feel that Modern Israel as God’s chosen people and are right in everything they do no matter how ruthless. This is similar to the feeling of Nazi party members towards Hitler. It is always dangerous to let any belief blind reasoning and hold the mind in check. When has blind belief or blind faith ever brought more benefit to humanity than the reasonable course of action? Never. There is not one example in history., If one finds himself supporting Israel just because she is Israel one is merely repeating the greatest most repeated mental and emotional blunder in history.

The same reasoning applies to all things. If one supports the United States Constitution just because it is our Constitution, this can lead to blindness. As good as it is, a rational mind may see possible improvements, especially as times change.

Many support their church or scriptures because it is “theirs” and “special” to them and any reasoning to the contrary is ignored. Many are so blinded that they are not even aware that they are obviating reason. Every man, no matter how blinded, believes in his own way that he is reasonable. His thinking may run something like: “It is reasonable for me to reject this man’s reasoning, because God (or some religious leader) told me I

am right so anything contrary to this thinking is evil.” Every evil ideology that has arisen in history has such people supporting it. Every good ideology from the past has always been supported by people who examine all things in the clear cold light of reason. Even men of great intuition do this. Feeling alone excludes reason whereas intuition includes it.

Even though a person may exclude himself from the full benefits of being one of the “chosen race” he often identifies with Israel through the belief of adoption, or the born again experience. Then he is simultaneously guilty of the evil of “the exclusion of others”. He believes that the is now chosen because of his faith in Christ and he will go to heaven whereas his non-believing neighbor (even though he may be a more loving person) will go to hell. He practices the evil of separateness. His neighbor (in his eyes) is just as good as in hell, while he is going to heaven merely because he is now “special” in God’s eyes. His neighbor is dead while he is alive. The man has the evil line of exclusion drawn in his consciousness.

The second doctrine is also exclusive, but this group does not exclude themselves from the benefits and chosen status of the Jews. They believe they are also Israelites, buy they exclude those who are not Jews or a member of their religion. They feel that all true Israelites will come into their church (merely because they have the blood of Israel in them) and the non-Israelites will not be attracted. Thus they look upon non-members as Gentiles and exclude them from the blessings of Israel. many of these also support every move the nation of Israel makes, right or wrong, just as they do their religious leaders.

The third ideology may seem the most extreme, but the believers; nevertheless, must be given credit for using their minds to a degree. In a confrontation with those of the first two categories the third category can usually win a debate, because he uses some reasoning, and the Bible seems to give him some support. Even though some of the most intelligent and mental souls support this doctrine, it would be the most dangerous one to be universally accepted. Many of these people believe that Hitler was on the right track, but was just a bit too ruthless. They believe the holocaust was a big farce, that it never really happened, and the world may have been a better place if Hitler had won. Not all believe the same on this idea, however.

One may wonder, why if some of these souls are advanced, that they support a dangerous doctrine. The answer is that just before a person truly develops the intuition and receives enlightenment and thinks inclusively he often finds himself in an extreme position because of certain black and white facts which seem to stare him in the face. This person takes the Bible literally and studies it systematically and reaches certain conclusions, some right and some wrong. If he makes a mistake he builds on it and does not intuitively perceive the error.

To avoid error let us go back to the beginning and establish a sure foundation.

Sorting Out the Message

A reader makes an interesting statement:

“I had assumed that it didn’t matter who the messenger was, so long as the message was true.”

Actually, both the messenger and the message matter, but even though this is true it is also a fact that the message can be true no matter how corrupt the messenger is.

For instance, we all acknowledge that Hitler was a bad guy. Even so, he still had some good ideas such as the Autobahn, which still receives praise by millions that use it to this day.

Then too the development of a small economical car available to the common man that became known as the Volkswagen was also a Hitler idea that became embraced by millions.
Hitler also supported the development of the V2 Rocket. After the war the United States had the presence of mind to gather all the technology around this and entice Hitler’s chief engineer to work for us. Warner Von Braun, Hitler’s chief rocket engineer then went on to create NASA and the Saturn Rocket that sent our astronauts to the moon.

In other words, if we had not accepted the truth that Hitler had developed then we may not have went to the moon.

Now let us look at the one of the main guys who defeated Hitler, FDR. He was all good right?

Not so fast.

Remember that he interned Japanese citizens who had done no wrong. Almost everyone today sees that as an injustice.

He tried to violate the constitution by increasing the number of justices on the Supreme Court with people he could control so he could become a virtual dictator.

During the creation of the New Deal he had innocent people prosecuted and thrown in prison for no cooperating.

The key point is this. Our heroes were not all good and our villains were not all bad. This is why the scriptures tell us to not rely on the arm of flesh. We must look at each message as a separate entity and run it by the spirit and soul within. Then we must use the power of our own judgment and determine the truth.

It comes down to this. If the devil himself tells us a thing yet it registers as truth then one should accept it, but, on the other hand, if an angel of light presents a message that registers as incorrect then that should be rejected.

We would be in error to look at a teacher such as Joseph Smith and his flaws and then reject his entire message as evil. Instead we must break down the teachings as well as his actions and sort them out using the power of the Spirit within. On each of then we must ask ourselves, “Is this true or not?” Is the glory of God intelligence or not? Is man co-eternal with God? Did he live before mortal birth? etc.

Of course, one must do the same thing with self proclaimed prophets such as Chris Nemelka. His main teaching is the Golden Rule of doing unto others as you wish others to do to you?

Is this true? Basically yes. Did it originate with Chris? No. Jesus said it and earlier than that Buddha said something similar.

Is it true that the Golden Rule applies to all but Chris as he says?

Absolutely not. Principles apply to all beings in the universe.

With each teacher one must look at the message and how that message is to be applied and then only support those things that register as true with one’s own soul.
