The Greeks also associated sacred sound with the rhombus ("bullroarer"), the sacred instrument of Dionysian Mysteries. Indeed, the bullroarer and the drum (or the flute or the lyre) were ritually used the world over for evoking Cosmic resonances capable of activating the bindu, the "seed" of Creation. ************* I believe it is an established fact that if a child has no stimulus from some quarter or other, parents, relatives, teachers, its mental development will be slow and stunted. So likewise would it have been with our early ancestors had they not had "teachers." In the Greek myth it was Prometheus who stole the fire of mind from heaven, and brought it down to mankind. In pre-Celtic times there was Gwydion, first of the Bards, whom even Taliesin, "the most extravagant in his pretensions of all Celtic bards," acknowledged as one who took precedence over him. Professor John Rhys in The Hibbert Lectures of 1886 identified Gwydion with Ogmios, "according to Lucian's account of him . . . the personification of speech," and equates the Irish Ogma, inventor of writing, with both of them. He further shows Hermes and Mercury as being other names for this character, whose attributes are again found in the Norse Woden, in Odysseus, and Polyphemus of the nether world. Even the Hindu god Indra belongs to the same genus as Gwydion and Woden, we are told. In short, "Gwydion, or whatever name you choose to give him, was a complete and complex character familiar to our remote ancestors, before they could as yet be called Celts." I just got off the phone, from adding the recordings for the three verses of the song of 144k, so if you want to say the song with another person, I'm there 24 hours a day. I think I have managed to put a piece of myself on that page, in ways that many pages don't. Hopefully, there is enough of me there to at least semi-qualify as saying the song with me. I said it along with myself, when I went to check if it was working, and found that even though I knew it was a recording of my own voice, it still felt like I was saying it with another person. JJ has said that when we say the song, we should picture saying it with others. So, even if it doesn't count as saying it with me, it still adds to the picture that you are. I hope others, with web pages, will add the song, so I can say it with them. Hey, wouldn't it be a hoot, if someday finding an audio copy of the song, on a web page, were as common as seeing a happy face :) Oh, and by the way, did you all know that just because someone has left this list, doesn't mean they don't still hear what is said here. I know of several ex members that continue to read the archives. There are also friends of members and numerous cross links to us, so what's talked of here is shared in a much bigger way. I tell my daughter, the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask. I've put my foot in my mouth a few times too, but I don't mind in the long run it usually helps others to extract theirs. I see Rick is initiating again. My real player isn't working since I installed an upgrade. When I attempt to play my RealPlayer I get an error message called "error type 3." If anyone out there has a Mac and knows what this means in relation to RealPlayer perhaps you could let me know. In the meantime I'm going to buy another program that should do the job. I think Rick is on to something and think there is potential there. Thanks to the Internet it may be possible to feel like we are in the same room together some day. I also enjoyed John's comments on the beast which is one-sided on the male side. It is interesting that the world did not have much of a concept of magnetism and gravity until Newton came along and about this same time the power of the female was also dimly seen. The female energy is invisible and the male visible, but when the invisible is made as real as the visible true balance on this planet will be achieved. It sounds like Xavier has a good instinct for the highest books to read. I think he may be centered more in the higher centers than he gives himself credit for. An item to note here is that when the higher centers are open the lower ones are also functioning with more vitality than ever before and take a lot of self control. This could explain Xavier's mention that his solar plexus is very active, yet he speaks from a high vantage point in many instances. CHAPTER THIRTEEN WILLINGNESS TO GIVE Whereas communication is the keystone to happiness, a giving nature is that which builds the bridge to a joyous union. When Joan communicates her needs to John she needs a satisfying response to obtain fulfillment. John must be willing to give in to those reasonable needs which are communicated. Communication itself is the highest form of giving. Giving is merely communicating to the other person the idea that you value him or her as much as you do yourself. A person who does not have a giving nature is rarely a good communicator on a one to one basis. He may be able to speak before groups but be incapable of sharing feelings on an intimate level. The committed love relationship is the highest form of schooling on the earth in that it teaches communication and givingness. The reason for this is that male and female are on opposite polarities as far as energy is concerned. This causes both individuals the need to make a considerable effort before they can effectively communicate and give. They are both forced to develop some empathy and open-mindedness. To give to another person what he or she wants is not always easy to do. It will be found, however, that the more accurate the communication is for both parties the easier it will be to give. Generally, the reason a partner in a committed relationship does not have his needs fulfilled is because they were not properly communicated. One should always seek to fulfill the needs of his mate as long as his own needs are not sacrificed to an extreme and there is no harm done. In doing this, one will create an automatic trigger in his mate that will cause him or her to respond with givingness. It is impossible to give over an extended period of time and not receive back. It is a universal law that we must receive that which was given out. The Course in Miracles states it aptly by saying "To give and receive are one." If we fulfill the needs of others, then others must come to us, sooner or later, and fulfill our needs. If every married, or attached person, believed this law he would then seek to fulfill the needs of his mate whether he thought she deserved it or not, for if he refuses he may find his own needs unfulfilled. There are some instances where fulfillment of the needs of the man and woman may conflict with each other. For instance, he may want sex four times a week and she only two. This is what they each need for fulfillment. In this case it would be wrong for the woman to give in to the man all the time if it causes her consistent distress. We must not forget that we have an obligation to our own fulfillment as well as that of others. In this case a compromise is necessary and compromise itself is a form of giving. Compromise is only permanently successful when both parties are willing to yield, or give. In this case they could agree to sex three times a week or they could decide to let the male initiate sex during one week and she initiate the second week. This way each could be fulfilled sexually at least every other week, and as they grow old together seeking to fulfill each other they will find that their needs and desires will adjust to each other and they will eventually be satisfied a larger percentage of the time. In seeking to be a true giver and one who fulfills his mate one must seek out and understand human needs so he is aware of where he needs to direct his giving energies. There are seven basic human needs just as there are seven rays, seven colors and seven notes. 1 The need for union. 2 The need for love. 3 The need for experience. 4 The need for creative expression. 5 The need for knowledge. 6 The need for emotional fulfillment. 7 The need for order. I'm sorry folks, but I'm going to have to skip on the real, voice to voice emailing and chatting. I'm putting my request in for direct, telepathic communication. Technology and words are just too slow. :)" Hope all of you are well. I trust you are." Hoorah!!!! Go for it. I gotta tell ya, back in the early 70s my sister and I agreed to test telepathy just to see if it was for real. On the appointed day at the appointed hour (we were both in central time then) I laid down on the living room carpet, closed my eyes and began (fully expecting that my sister was doing the same). I allowed my self to go into an altered state and then "imagined" myself moving swiftly over the 900 miles to my sisters house. I found myself in her kitchen standing by the table. There on the table was the old orange vase that used to sit on Uncle Louie's dining table. I looked through the door into her living room and saw her as she laid down on the sofa. As I moved (glided?) into the living room, she suddenly made an "oh" sound, and sitting up quickly. I got the impression that something had stuck or pinched her. Her husband came running into the living room asking if she was alright. Then I lost the image. When I called my sister (landline) I asked her what had happened that she sat up so suddenly? She told me she had completely forgotten about our "date" to test the telepathy. So I told her what I had seen and I was very surprised to learn that all had happened just as I had "seen" it. I know now that that was not telepathy, but remote viewing. I didn't learn about remote viewing until about 3 years ago when I purchased a book about it. surprise of surprises. I realize this has very little to do with our current studies, but at the same time, it is a part of "reality". If telepathy is accomplished more from the receiving end rather than the sending end, then there will be no infringement on another's free will. I am getting a strong impression, right at this moment, that I have forgotten something here. Hey, John, you have a great way of bundling. Maybe you would help me here? Are we already using telepathy on this list? Sometimes it really seems like it. Love, Light, Peace and Harmony Marylin Post No. keys-l: /1999-08-02/5907 From: John Kosior Subject: Re: Bundling Hi Marylin, That's a very interesting point. That telepathy is accomplished more from the receiving end. This seems to be an astute observation and also in concert with the rise of feminine energy. In regard to the use of telepathy on the list, or anywhere for that matter, I think we'd have to define the term. Not to diminish the more mystical ideas that surround the subject, I would say that a certain amount of telepathy is constantly in use by those with consciousness as well as the unwitting. In it's simplest terms, telepathy could be seen as the mere projection of the "between the lines intent" of one individual, which is then picked up by the sensitive telepath. Upon receiving and interpreting what is being projected, the receiver then either consciously or unwittingly responds with words, but more importantly, with gesture and subtle communication. Now, this is of course a very limited view of the potential of higher communication, but one that sets a ground level understanding of the concept. Now, as for the list, it has been shown many times that many messages are posted to the list that are sometimes on and sometimes off topic, that may have one intent of communication, but is received in a completely different way by another who hears an answer to a direct need or desire within the recipient. This can easily be seen as coincidence. And certainly from this simple understanding, I can understand how that is possible. But there will be many times that we each receive a thought or message that we just "feel" has relevance, even if we're not aware of what that is. Then, when we send that message, we may in fact be reacting from the received projection of another, and thus be utilizing a form of telepathy. As for whether this is true telepathy or not will have to come from individual conviction. But as for me, I believe that if we can accept the simplest forms of anything, then it is only a matter of focused application that can deliver us into expanded capability. I'd appreciate hearing the feelings of others on this. I realize this is just a simple recipe, so feel free to add the spice of fact and the color of intuition. I'm sure that together we can come up with a more complete meal. I got to where anytime I wanted to speak to someone, I would make a note of it in my Day Timer and without giving it any more thought, that person would just show up. Telepathy is very common and anyone can learn it easily. I've experienced it with a number of Keysters. One of them used to almost bug me, because she could see everything I was doing. Suppression is a form of avoiding communication. This is especially dangerous when the negative emotions are suppressed for this can lead to disease. Just like steam pressure in a tea kettle can cause it to blow its lid, if it has no release valve, so can suppressed emotion cause a person to explode unpredictably. An unpredictable moody person is usually one who suppressed emotion. Whether a person suppresses or not he has a need to express himself emotionally whether it be romantic love, hate, anger, happiness or any other feeling. The emotions should be controlled and rightly directed, but not suppressed. No one likes to live with a walking time bomb and this is what one becomes if he does not intelligently release his feelings now and then to let off the dangerous pressure. One must find a release for emotional feeling as it arises or it can build up a negative energy pressure to a dangerous level. For instance, if one feels anger he should not pretend that it is not there. This is dishonest communication and negative whereas control of anger and honestly communicating it harmlessly is positive. What then should we do with anger, or other negative feelings when we have them if we are not to suppress ? Should we attack the person we feel angry at? No. This would be uncontrolled emotion. Instead we must direct the expression of our feeling through the control of the mind. When we are angry our emotional self sends a strong instinct not to think, but to immediately carry out a destructive action. However, the mind must override emotional authority and declare: "I will not release my authority to decide a course of action. I will stay in command." After maintaining the reigns of control the mind can then say: "My emotional self feels all this anger toward Mary that needs released. What is the most harmless way to let it off?" The mind then decides to communicate instead of attack. John says to Mary: "Mary, what you just said makes me feel very angry. I feel like strangling you. I, of course, will not do it, but you really upset me and hurt my feelings." Most people have feelings within them, positive and negative, locked tightly within and fear letting them out in the open. They are afraid of becoming vulnerable, believing that they may be hurt as they have been in the past. Nevertheless, each person still has an inward longing to share and release these feelings and they wish with all their heart they could trust someone enough to intimately communicate with them. If you are reading these lines and feel a need to share suppressed emotions, but cannot because you feel that you can trust no one to not hurt you then the solution is to let the mind assume control and tell yourself: "If I suffer pain because I trust another with my feelings it will not be as bad as the emptiness I now feel because I hide them. Therefore, I will share my innermost feelings, even at the risk of pain. Some pain mixed with pleasure is much better than non- existence." Life is always less painful to one who communicates than to one who does not. In one way of looking at it we could say: "All emotional pain is an indication of a failure to communicate." If one finds himself responsible for helping another person release pent up feelings he will be endeared in that person's psyche for a lifetime. The overflowing stream of peace and joy that follows such a release is sometimes overwhelming. When one enters a situation where he can communicate and control his negative feelings, then he is faced with the need of using his positive feelings to create a fullness of joy. This is the circumstance we should all find ourselves in if we follow our inner urges to communicate. He or she then works toward a fullness in communicating love-desire energies, affection, sexual and romantic feelings, appreciation, generosity and givingness, and freedom. Affection is extremely important in a male-female relationship. It is the glue that cements the bond leading to oneness. A touch, a caress, a squeeze or a loving look says: "I care about you and love you as I love myself." If one did not receive much affection as a child he may not feel like giving or receiving a lot of it. If this is the case one should let the mind assume control and declare: "Giving and receiving affection will help me receive a fullness of joy; therefore, I will give affection." If the mind drives one to be affectionate it will not be long before the emotions will be stimulated and they will "feel" like responding. Then the person will "change" into an affectionate person. There is no one in the world who does not have the capacity to appreciate affection. One should intelligently practice giving and receiving it until he is a master in this important area of life. He should also practice timing. Giving your mate a hug when he is in a rush may produce irritation, but giving the same affection on a lazy rainy day may be greatly appreciated. Sense when the time is right and then give affection and always be open to receiving it. Sex is one of the most intense forms of giving and receiving positive energy and feeling. There are many good books available on enhancing the pleasures of sex so we need not go into that. Nevertheless, the underlying principle of sexual fulfillment should be stressed: "Communicate your sexual needs to each other and seek to fulfill them in your mate so long as no pain is created." There has been so much written on how to put romance in a relationship that we need not go into it here except to say that this is an important area to practice giving and receiving. Most people are aware of how much little things like notes, flowers, a night out on impulse, a walk in the park, and other amenities can mean to a relationship. We must merely practice what we know in this area. Freedom is, however, an emotional need that is worthy of comment. The couple should allow each other a certain amount of "space" as it is currently called. Almost everyone wants to belong to someone and likes to be possessed to a certain degree, but when that possession interferes with a desired freedom of thought or action then there is resentment. One must examine his mate's need for freedom and allow her the space he or she needs to act and express himself. He will also find that he will be appreciated if he works to stimulate his companion to greater avenues of freedom. Nevertheless, the interpossessiveness that is agreed upon by the two must be strong enough to hold the bonded relationship intact. THE NEED FOR ORDER This need includes the need for balance, rhythm, harmony, and judgment. It could also be called the need for cyclic activity. Despite the fact that we live in a liberated era where everyone wants to do his own thing, all people have a need for a certain amount of structure in their lives. We can see how order is necessary for living things by observing nature. The sun rises and sets at certain times in certain seasons and living things adjust to this. Birds and animals retire to sleep at certain times and rise at predictable times. They eat, store, build, migrate, leave home, and mate at certain set times of cyclic activity. If this is interrupted, their harmony is disturbed. There is no living thing more out of harmony with nature than man. In seeking his freedom of expression, he often goes to the extreme and doesn't balance himself with order as demanded by nature. When humans lack order in their lives, they are out of harmony and often become sick or emotionally disturbed. Therefore, order is a human need just as love is and is needed for man to obtain a fullness of livingness. Some types of order that is beneficial to man are: 1. Going to bed, rising, and napping (if desired) at approximately the same time each day. 2. Eating at about the same time and frequency each day. 3. Study at certain times. 4. Entertainment at certain times. Man instinctually wants entertainment on weekends. 5. Sex should be adjusted to harmonize with cyclic desires. 6. Work at set times. 7. The laws of the land. 8. Religious ceremonies, sacraments and observances. 9. Contemplation, prayer, and meditation. 10. Marriage as a stabilizing structure. Often, people with no objectives in life who suffer mentally, emotionally, and physically merely need some order and structure to build their life around. This is basically how the churches the world benefit man. Their basic benefit is not so much in the knowledge they impart for they impart very little, but the benefit is that they give order and objective to a family's life. Very few people will admit that the need for order is the reason they go to church, but in the last analysis it usually is. You will notice that those who are not active in a church will usually be involved in some civic organizations or fraternities. This involvement man seeks is merely to fulfill his need for structure and order. Those who do not have some structure in their lives inspired by some organization or cause are usually listless and feel empty. These are often the type of people who turn to crime. They find no order in society to suit them so they turn against it. The marriage relationship is so sought after by many because it fills a great need for order. In fact, many people get married more to stabilize their lives than for love. Marriage brings in the new ordered sequence of seeing someone you care for on a cyclic basis Any newly established cyclic routine brings additional order and therefore, more purpose in people's lives. When children arrive, new cyclic encounters occur and greater stability reached. These ordered relationships, can, if they are structured correctly, bring more fullness in a person's life. The need for ceremony is part of the need for order. This is a basic human need that has received little or no attention by psychologists. The human need for ceremony is well illustrated in the marriage process itself. For instance, a couple could merely agree to live together with no ceremony and the relationship could be just as successful as a full fledged man and wife. However, this is rarely the case because of the need for ceremony. Man has created the ceremony of the wedding rites, vows, and laws governing such so he can feel a stamp of public approval on this major decision. Man has created covenants that bind this relationship so he can have more order, structure, and purpose in the hope of creating a more permanent relationship. To create more order, man sets up authorities whose word is either law or sanctioned by it. Men and women are married by such an authority. They exchange rings. That is another ordered ceremony. After that, they have the wedding reception. The bridal dress and wedding cake are two more ingredients which fill the need for order here along with all the order amenities of the wedding reception. Very few couples can really "feel married" unless they follow the accepted public order in getting there. Even the Christ had to fill people's need for order when he healed them. Often, if he would not have done it, the people would not have had enough faith to be healed. Sometimes Jesus had them bath in water, another time he poked his fingers in a man's ear, another time he anointed a man's eyes with clay made from his saliva, other times he touched their eyes, or tongue, or laid his hands on their heads. Part of the reason he used these techniques was because he recognized people's need for ceremony and order. People couldn't believe they could be healed unless he followed a strange ritual of some kind. He perceived the need each person had and tried to adjust to it to strengthen their faith. We should search for the need for order and ceremony in the lives of ourselves and our mates and seek to fill it. Seek to be a part of the order that is in your companion's life. Seek to create all the order that is needed to bring a fullness, but beware of being overly rigid. Too much strictness is probably a greater evil than not enough order. Couples should seek to establish mini-sacraments in their relationship: A bottle of wine on a special occasion, getting an ice cream after a movie, collapsing in each other's arms after the kids are in bed, kissing each other on going and returning from work, saying "I love you" before going to bed etc. These little rituals we all establish help stabilize a relationship through order. If we lack these little ceremonies it will be found to be advantageous to consciously create a few. Retired people are especially in need of order because their lives are so disrupted by losing the ordered sequence of going to work. An amazing number of people die within a year or so of breaking off from the work cycle. Those who have a happy retirement are those who can keep order and structure in their life. This is probably more important than diet or exercise for living a long, healthy life. To become a fulfilling giver, one must learn to control giving with the mind, for if the giving nature is controlled by the emotions, then we will only give when we "feel like it". When giving is controlled by the mind, we will find ourselves giving when we don't feel like it, but at the same time accomplishing a great good. If we only give when we feel like it, we are no better than the savage who does the same. But when we give when we think of it, or when it makes sense, then we become the master of the situation and become a true giver. Most persons have times in the marriage relationship when they do not feel like giving communication, loving feelings, or loving words. This is the greatest opportunity to exercise mental control. The mind is like a muscle and it cannot become strong enough to control the emotions without exercise, but after sufficient and regular exercise, it does become strong enough so mental control is effortless. Here is one of the best mental exercise you can do: The next time you have your feelings, hurt by your mate and find it difficult to show any love at all, take hold of him or her and look in the eyes with as loving a look as you can muster and over a short period of time say "I love you" three times. This will dispel much of the negative feelings you have, even if you do not get an "I love you" back. Any person seeking the path to union and fullness must develop the power to do this exercise IN ANY SITUATION. When this is accomplished, he will gain a sense of freedom and liberation never before felt and will realize to some degree that the peace that passes all understanding is not dependent on circumstances or other persons, but on the individual himself. If the first exercise mentioned above does not dispel all negative feelings, then try this second one: Within the period of one hour, give something three times (tangible or intangible) or provide a needed service for the person who hurt your feelings. Remember that the other person is not responsible for your negative feelings if your mind is in control. Thus, it is not his or her responsibility to dispel your negativity. It is your own. It matters not how dire and wrong is the deed your spouse did to you. It matters not that she does not accept your "I love you", or gift, or service. What matters is that you give them, and giving them you liberate yourself. This is why Jesus said: "Give to him that asketh thee." (Matt. 5:42) He also said we should go the extra mile... Simple advice, but difficult to do. If, after these two exercises, the negativity is not yet dispelled, there is one more thing you can do: Ask your spouse to do something giving for you. One thing may do the trick, but three things over a period of time is preferable. Do not pick something difficult, but choose something you know he or she can easily do. If you have told him/her you love him/her three times and given to him/her three times, then (s)he should be ready to give to you. If (s)he hasn't given to you in some way, ASK. The giving will make you feel better and bring peace in the home. Generally, these three steps will dispel any negativity in a relationship unless a major rift has occurred and the other party is utterly beyond response. A yielding nature is essential to create oneness in any relationship and it must be possessed by both parties. People who are trying giving and yielding are rare and when they are found, they are usually mated with someone who is unyielding and takes advantage of their good nature. One yielding person can make a relationship bearable and somewhat workable, but it takes two cooperators to make a true union. There is a basic difference between giving and yielding. We generally give that which we feel like giving, but when we yield, we give in in areas that me be against our feelings for the sake of a relationship Yielding is the highest form of giving, and, if both parties possess an amount of it, the marriage can be "made in heaven". It is a simple ingredient in a successful relationship that is ignored by most because they do not "feel" like cultivating it. Post No. keys-l: /1999-08-03/5914 From: "Dr. S. Hi Sharon Just a quick word about remote viewing. It was used by the military way back in the 60s and 70s and probably still is being used today. Then a book was written and another and the information became public. It was used to spy on "enemies", to find out about developments in technology, etc. In the book I read, the author (during his training) once found himself in the oval office looking at the president. His first feeling was that he didn't belong there and left quickly. It's almost like astral travel, except the physical body is awake, the conscious mind is awake and the danger is great to infringe on another's free will. It is nothing like true telepathy. I would give you the title of the book I read, but can't find it anymore. It's probably stored in a box somewhere as I purchased it about three years ago and we have moved since then. I believe there is a web site that gives a bit of information on remote viewing. You might try to find it to learn more of what it is all about. An impression, an understanding or knowing accomplished without the use of words. It's a sort of knowing what is between the lines. I "talk" with my plants and sometimes I receive "impressions" from them like the ground is too dry or too wet. I get "impressions" from one of my grandsons and "know" what he is thinking occasionally and no words have been spoken. I am quite sure that he does the same. My point here is if someone can "see" you and you feel a presence then that is more than telepathy. And if it is uninvited and annoying, then it is an infringement on your free will. I learned how this was possible some time ago when I moved to a new house. In the front garden was a beautiful tree - unfortunately it always got a lot of greenflies. Neighbours told me that the people who moved out had tried everything to get rid of them - but without success. I never liked using poison in my garden (or anywhere else for that matter) but I could think only of two possibilities: killing the tree or using poison on it. Next spring I got another - and much better idea (yes - often I am a very slow thinker) I decided to try the harmless way before using any kind of violence. So I embraced the tree and asked for contact with the deva of the greenflies. I got a picture in my mind of a huge black insect and I talked to it telepathically. I sent it love and respected its right to be on the earth together with all other lifeforms. I asked: please could we come to an agreement about no greenflies in this tree? In my back garden I had another tree that they were very welcome to use instead. I watched the tree carefully during the next weeks: not a single greenfly! But when I checked on the tree in my back garden a few weeks later they were just all over the tree! Since then I have talked to flies and asked them to leave my bathroom and ants to leave my house. It always works! As long as I respect their right to be here on earth and show them an alternative where they can live. So here I am resending. I just wanted to tell Susi that I am always willing to help anyone with a questionnaire, so bring on the questions. I think I missed something namely the following: do I understand correctly that there is a separate page for OT-messages? If so then which one is that? Or did Rick just mean the "OT" in the subject-line. Maybe this is common knowledge among all Keysters, but it must have slipped my attention. By the way, the main reason why I am a silent observer (and sometimes not so observant, obviously) is that I can only read my mail at the faculty, when I am supposed to work and so I have hardly enough free time to follow the discussions, let alone fully participate in them, even though I would like to. I must say that I dislike the word "lurker" because in my understanding of the word, someone who lurks is waiting for an opportunity to strike at some point in time, which obviously I am not! But let me say that I'll go with the flow of the word and not launch another name- discussion. Also, on the subject of doomsday prophecies: what I always tell people when they start telling me about frightening prophecies is that they don't really bother me, true or false, because I am trying to live my life the best way I can and cannot do more about preventing them from happening then that. This way of thinking keeps me from worrying about stuff I have no control over and sometimes even seems to relax the people I tell it to. I sometimes wonder if this isn't like putting my head in the sand, so as not to see what's coming, but it seems to work well for me. Well, I have to go to work again now so I'll hear from you later. Hi Anni and All, Telepathic communication is probably easiest when entered into with animals. Most likely this is because the animal (or insect) hasn't built within itself the sometimes impenetrable wall of defense that most humans have. This is of course no big surprise, considering our societies penchant for hiding ones true feelings, just as it rewards compliance. I'm reminded of a scene that I think most of us have witnessed at least once in life. You're in some public place and you witness an adorable child out with its mom or dad. About this time an overly obese person walks by, and you hear the child announce, "That person is fat!" Now, all good rules of decorum aside, what the child will more than likely experience is the full weight of mom or dad's disdain or scorn, and the child will then go about the business of "blocking" all such thoughts or outbursts. And the cycle of self defense and personal denial begins. In essence though, I think that to some degree we have all been that child. With stifled laughters and suppressed thoughts bottled up within. With the less enlightened of human parentage, this usually has the effect of "building the walls of etiquette" in the child. And I believe that it's these ingrained walls and blockages that keep humanity from experiencing true telepathy. In fact, I may be ready to expose 98% of all of my thoughts to another's telepathic communication, but that may never even happen for the sake of the 2% that, since childhood, I've been taught must remain hidden. From this person, the best form of higher communication will be merely a "reading between the lines" method employed by the sensitive telepath. Beyond this, the only way to go beyond the walls of another is by some type of psychic intrusion. And this is something which always has the effect of damaging both the intruder as well the intruded. So one might ask, "Then what method can we employ in order to experience telepathy with another?" And the answer is that there is no method, or magic art, or divination which can invoke this ability. Oh I know that many would disagree and claim to have experienced telepathy by this method or that, but I still maintain that to apply a "method" to achieve the highest communication is clumsy at best and intrusive at worst. But then, if there is no method or formula to follow in the attainment of this ability, then what in God's name would bring it about? And to this I say there are three words which should be heard as one. They are, LoveTrustFaith. In theory, if we could take two people and eliminate from them all fears (which are based in judgment), all suspicions (which are based in self protection), and all doubts (which are based on past disappointments), I believe we would observe the potential of absolute, full on telepathy. Now this may seem about as simple as climbing Mt. Everest in an afternoon, but when we understand that it's not about climbing (or 'methoding'), but loving, trusting and believing in God, ourselves and each other, it becomes apparent that telepathy is a RESULT of LoveTrustFaith, and not a "skill" of its own that must be mastered to be used. To illustrate this, consider some married couple you know who enjoy the most unified and loving relationship possible for them. These folks will usually "know" each other's thoughts or words even before they are uttered. Of course some of this can be traced to the fact that living together has helped in giving them this apparent foreknowledge. But then, even when separated physically, any strong emotion, like "danger" or "intense thought" felt by the one, can often times be "felt" by the other. Of this I would have to say that the only way telepathy, in whatever form, can be uncovered as one of our senses, is that we be willing to love and accept each other so completely, that there is simply nothing in us that we must hide. And then we will find that we have always had the ability, and even used it, to a pitifully small degree. So to recap, I'd say that telepathy is not a method, but a result of absolute Love Trust Faith. I'll prepare it at the first opportunity. This should be a first for any internet group. Vignir, we sent your book off a few days ago. He sent me a postcard with a stunning picture of Iceland's capital city. It looks so pristine and unpolluted. In the meantime - here's the next chapter. CHAPTER FIFTEEN TRUST Copyright by J J Dewey We have covered the first two prime ingredients in a happy relationship: communication and willingness to give. Trust is the third consummating key, but the first two must lay the foundation for creating this trust. One cannot fully trust someone who deceptively communicates. He will always wonder, "What is (s)he holding back from me now? Is (s)he up to something that is not communicated?" If the mate is an honest communicator, these questions will never be asked and needles suspicions will not be aroused. If the companion is truly giving, it will tend to make the other feel secure and if a fullness of energy is sent, it will be sensed by the mate and no feeling of betrayal will enter the mind or heart. If one does not honestly communicate and become giving, he cannot expect to be fully trusted, yet such a person will demand trust more than others. Trust cannot be delivered on demand, but must be communicated. Essentially trust is a strong reliance on a communicated virtue. We must communicate our strengths and dependability to our mate so they can trust in us. The most important area of trust in a marriage relationship is love. Each wants to trust the other with his love and trust that love will always be returned. To secure this trust, a committed relationship becomes necessary. Thus, the two publicly state before the world in a marriage ceremony that their love for each other can be trusted and a foundation for lasting trust is laid. But if correct communication and giving is not developed, trust will be shaken and the couple will feel insecure in love which is among the most uneasy of all feelings and very disturbing to the balance in life. After a couple develop communication and givingness, they find that the cement that holds the union is trust. Trust in a marriage partner is not unlike faith in God, for trust corresponds to faith and the union sought with a mate is a lower correspondence to man's desire for union with God. Before man can have faith in God, he must communicate (prayer, meditation, etc.) and give (donate, serve). Then he finds he has faith or trusts his concept of God. Each person has a reflection of God within him,. and, when this God in man and woman manifests, a great trusting relationship becomes possible. If we are to be trusted, we need to be trustworthy. Trust must be developed among associates in life outside of the marriage relationship Groups, states and nations must learn to trust each other and be trustworthy so peace on earth, goodwill to men can be established. Trust is an energy which is sent that is a reflection of Purpose. Trust which is built on sound principles is very magical. It causes "the law of dominating good" to manifest and sought-for events can miraculously externalize. Trust is the driving power that moves people to oneness. It is the synthetic energy created through communication and giving. Trust can only come after effective and honest communication is established. Keep in mind that trust can be wrongfully placed. If the Pharisees had trusted Jesus to teach orthodox doctrine, they would have been wrong. Obviously such blind trust would show a poor line of communication. To trust someone, you have to properly understand them. If John trusts that Mary will use her grocery money to buy him a bowling ball, he will probably be mistaken. For trust to have power to cement a relationship, it has to be properly directed. The correct placement of trust is a science just as dealing with electricity is. If electricity makes the proper connection, it may light a bulb. If trust is correctly placed, it may make a union out of two people. Sometimes, trust will inspire trustworthiness, but not always. Many people just cannot be trusted in certain areas of their lives and showing trust in them will not create an improvement. But for some persons trust can turn their lives around and they will be trustworthy merely because they feel someone believes in them. This type of trustworthiness is usually a temporary thing. Before it can be permanent, one must first be true to himself. When this occurs, then others can place faith and trust in us. A true friend and companion is one to whom you can say: "I trust you, my friend, to always seek that which is good on my behalf and to never intentionally make an effort to cause me pain or harm." Post No. keys-l: /1999-08-04/5961 From: Vignir Subject: Re: Digest No. 1999-08-04 of The Keys of Knowledge List Hi to each and all! JJ Dewey wrote: "Affection is extremely important in a male-female relationship. It is the glue that cements the bond leading to oneness. A touch, a caress, a squeeze or a loving look says: "I care about you and love you as I love myself." If one did not receive much affection as a child he may not feel like giving or receiving a lot of it. If this is the case one should let the mind assume control and declare: "Giving and receiving affection will help me receive a fullness of joy; therefore, I will give affection." And it goes without saying in a male/male and female/female relationship...but I had to say it anyway! In Iceland as in most of the other Nordic countries we have a same sex marriage law. With love and light Viggi P.s. I wonder, am I the only gay guy on this list or are there others? I'm just thinking out loud here so if these aren't your thoughts that's ok.....these are thoughts that came to me after reading your post. So if anyone wishes to see me you might want to go outside and look up at the sky.....you can often times find me there cloud jumping or on the full moon I like to fly above the earth and view it from a distance so one might find me playing in the light of the moon as well.......as for pictures I'll see what I can do but please don't anyone hold your breath. Telepathy: Anyone is welcome to communicate with me telepathically so long as you remain non- judgmental, I am by no means perfect but I do not hide myself any more these days. Psychic intuition is not invited as in (remote viewing), I enjoy my privacy immensely ;-) By telepathy I mean to carry on a conversation or just to say hello with out the aid of modern technology or the use of breath passing over ones vocal cords as in verbal communication. BTW, I think that this list puts out a call to people using telepathic communications as I said when I first found this list. I heard a call and I knew when I found this list that the Keysters had placed a telepathic phone call to me to come and visit......Thank you ;-) I had received JJ's first book through the mail a few years back and saved it with the intention of getting book two (which I still need to do). Prior to finding this list I received a post card and recognized the name JJ Dewey on it so I placed it in my keep pile about 10" thick now of things I would like to add to my web site at a later date. I then joined spiritweb.org a while later and joined several lists........this list was one of the last ones I joined after receiving mail from the others and not feeling connected. This list I felt a connection to from the start and when I found myself being bogged down with email from all the lists and received communication to unsubscribe from all mailing lists I kept this one and two others. When I first saw a post from JJ I knew I had found the driving force behind my desire to find a group of people to communicate with but more importantly a group to expand my conscious (s) with. Glenny's, Loved the poem! JJ, I can't wait for you to lead us as a group into this next form of communication, I've been waiting for a large group of people to experiment with like this for a very long time ;-) Viggi and Kat, You both seem like wonderful people to me, it is comforting to know that people on this list feel the telepathic communication of non-judgmental acceptance portrayed by the oneness of this group.......at least this is the message that comes across to me loud and clear.....ACCEPTANCE......or as John K put it so eloquently LoveTrustFaith......I like that *Smile*! Jennifer, The candle flame......in magical workings if you blow a candle out it blows the magic away, if you pinch the candle out it pinches or cuts the spell off, if you snuff the candle out it holds onto the spell so that the next time you relite the candle the flame rekindles the spell......very good that you snuff regardless of magical workings or not ;-) She', You are a fountain of knowledge and I for one appreciate your sharings, I feel there is a special reason for your presence us at this time. I remember posts commending me on my honesty, but I see myself more as a person who avoids the limelight. Some would say I'm so insecure and uptight if you stuck a lump of coal up my bum in a week you'd have a diamond. Oh yeah, one more thing I wanted to add regarding jail. I think the the most important lessons I've learned from this ordeal was that 1. Reality just is. and 2. All actions have consequences. Looking back I see that I never thought I'd get caught. You are not the only gay on the list, but it is not my place to list them. We'll talk more about this subject in the future as our train of thought has presently led us in another direction. I was not planning on introducing the following meditation for another month or so, but the time seems right now so we'll go ahead. Trust me on this as we begin this ongoing process. I think you'll be happy with the end result. The New Jerusalem Meditation Close your eyes and say: "We thank you God that You reveal to us the originating point of Your universal Light and Love as the doorway to the Kingdom of God." Pause and see a point of light just above you and see the point expanding into a circle and the circle expanding until it encompasses you and you sense that you have just passed through some type of doorway that leaves the physical world behind and reveals the New Jerusalem suspended before you. In the giant circle of light in which you find yourself you see a beautiful pyramid within a translucent golden square. You sense the pyramid is a living entity that is responsive to your thought and it pulsates with rainbows of colors as it reflects your highest feelings. There are three entrances on each side guarded by two angels - one male and one female. There is one entrance that attracts your attention and you gravitate toward it. The entrance may seem simple or you may see elaborate arches depending on your thought patterns. You stand before the angels and they pass their hands over your body and you know that they know the intent of your heart and you know whether or not your heart has pure intent to assist your fellow brothers and sisters on the earth. Now you hear one of the angels speak one of these two sentences: "You may pass." or "You are not yet ready. Go back and find within your heart that dedication to self that must be transmuted into dedication to the whole. Come back with a pure intent to serve and you may pass." If you do receive the second reply do some reflection and find the intent that needs transmuted, commit yourself to pure service and try again. After you receive permission, you go through the doorway and as you pass you feel an elevation in the vibration of your spirit within yourself and feel a sense of increasing love and joy. You find yourself walking through a mist of light and as you walk the cloudiness disperses and you meet a very beautiful human being. You instantly know that this person is either the Christ or has such oneness with Christ that it makes no difference. "What are you seeking?" the person asks. "I seek a mansion in the house of God?" you say. "And what is the key word for this coming age?" "Service," you reply. The beautiful being smiles and replies: To truly serve you must prepare yourself. Come, enter into a room prepared for you and contemplate the three things you must do. First, look upon mankind as a single living wholeness and ask yourself how much you really love them and how much you are prepared to give? Secondly, the tools you need to enhance your power to serve. Thirdly send out a call from your heart to others who will work with you in the vineyard of the Lord. Establish a spiritual link with them that cannot be broken and feel their presence becoming nearer. When they are very near you will be ready for the next step. You enter alone into an empty room with glowing white walls that you know now to be your space and your room that seems to be about twelve feet square but you can expand or contract it with your conscious thought. You think about the three injunctions and as you do you see the earth before you and sense the collective call of humanity appealing for help and relief in myriad areas of life and then you sense a few among them appealing for greater light and knowledge. These few touch your soul for you know that when these are satisfied that many others will come after until the earth is full of the knowledge of the Lord. As you look upon humanity and become one with the wholeness thereof you ask the first question? "How much do you really love them and how much you are prepared to give?" Contemplate this for a moment and ask yourself: "Am I one with the Purpose of God in this regard?" If you are satisfied with your answer move on to the second project. You must next give yourself all the tools you need to give yourself all the power you need to be a profitable servant. You might want to sit down, so visualize a chair and a chair will be there. If you want to lie down see a bed. If you want to do some work or reading you might want to see a desk, books or computer connected to the internet. Here you are not governed by time as on the earth and you can ask a question on your computer to someone who is a week or a month in the future. It is not for me to suggest all the tools you need. This is your project. Create everything you need in this room for your office of service and comfort. You are only limited by your imagination. You can add to or take away from as your need requires. This is the first step. There is much more to come. Members are welcome to post their thoughts and experiences as we proceed for the benefit of all. Amazing how these sneak in. Guess we sort of leave statements like this for the reader to put into a proper context. The way that might read in this case could be...."We are as unlimited as our imagining." A similar subliminal ? message we hear all of the time is, "We are only human." Funny thing is, those who say it are quick to confirm that they are sons and daughters of God... message ? God is only human ? It seems that there are many such phrases we innocently pass along, and keep alive. I have to wonder to what extent they figure in to our lives, since if we accept them, at face value, and send them to our subconscious, the subconscious takes them at face value ???? I have been away from the 'net for quite some time now... maybe 6 months, so only some of you may remember me. And here I get back into spiritweb, change my e-mail address with them and wham! I'm back "into the light!" JJ, that may be the most amazing guided meditation I have ever come across. Obviously at work I cannot give it my full presense, but I am going to print it, then record it in a soothing voice and go into the meditation that way. What a great way for me to come back. I cannot even begin to tell you all how much I've missed this list and all of you, but I have been saying the song at least 6 out of 7 days a week. I do it like I used to smoke (yes, you read that right) - by that I mean, when I start my car, I say the song. I used to light a cigarette, but on the 16th of this month, I will be smoke-free for 6 months! It was initially tough for the first month, but it's been pretty much cake ever since. And the song is a terrific substitute. It's nice to be tending my spirit rather than my various and sundry physical addictions. Anyway, I hope this message goes out there. I am so, so glad to be back. I'll be at this e-mail address for the next month and a half, then will be back to the old one. Hi LeLona, Thanks for the warm welcome back... yes, I've been contracting in the marketing department at this company (in the Silicon Valley, of course). I like it here, and they may keep me on as a regular employee, but whatever happens is okay with me. I've stopped bugging God about "I want this and I want that" because I've gotten a few of those things I've tantrumed about (picture a child pulling on your pantleg, jumping up and down and whining, and you have a fair mental picture of the way I used to pray!) - anyway, when I got a few of the things I begged for, I realized that they were NOT what I wanted AT ALL! So I'll be the passenger on this journey; I'll leaving the driving to the Big Kahuna! I've never been good at meditating, but bought a book called, "Meditation for Dummies" and have been trying to get in a little practice. I live in an apartment that faces a busy street. I also have a pre-teen daughter, that seems to require at least two sources of noise, at opposite ends of the apartment, going at the same time. I took to wearing a set of hearing protectors, like the ones used at shooting ranges, when I attempt meditating. Fortunately, I have a pretty good imagination and should do well, once I start. I had been wondering if there were something wrong with my ESP, for some time but my faith, in myself got a boost last night when I received a picture of a friend on the internet that I had never seen. She had tried, at times to send her image by telepathy and I thought I was unable to see it, other than maybe a dim image that I took for nothing more than my imagination. My jaw dropped to the floor when the image I received on my computer was the same one I had seen in our telepathy experiments. So, when y'all get to the "City", be sure to stop by my mansion and come in for a visit, as you are all an important part of my being there. Unsure of what kinds of tools are available there? Stop in and see me. Visitors are always entertained and enlightened by my unusual collection of toys and tools. Okay, enough till later, I've got to get back to updating and mailing the latest list. Don't worry about your level of spiritual development. The memories and powers, spoken of here will come naturally with time on the path, they don't have to be forced. On an Infinite scale, no position is any closer than another. Nearness to God cannot be measured in 3D terms, but rather by the strength of ones focus and affinity to It. I have been away from the 'net for quite some time now... maybe 6 months, so only some of you may remember me." Add me to the list who not only remembers you, Tracey, but who thinks of you often. It's so nice to have you back with us again - and nicotine free as well :-) I remember when you decided to give up smoking and it was wonderful to hear that you've succeeded. As an ex-smoker I know it can take a lot of willpower but of course, these days we have a secret weapon - the Song! Big welcome back hugs. Love Glenys -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there. - Will Rogers Post No. keys-l: /1999-08-06/5993 From: Rick Audette Subject: Re: A test post Gee Tracy, Were you gone? What with thinking of you singing the song with us and having your picture and all, it hadn't occurred to me that you were any place but right here, all along. We Keysters have our archives of what has been shared in the past and our plans for all meeting together in the future (could this be why we are learning how to get to New Jerusalem?). We are a family that is connected, even across spans of time and geography. I've read lots of talk about this sort of thing, in the last 30 years, but here, it is actually being practiced. When I switched back to reading the e-mail from the list, the music was still playing and seemed to fit perfectly with the wonderfully inspiring posts I get from my brothers and sisters. That music and what we are doing here sends waves of joy up my spine and makes the hair on the back of my neck stand out. We Thank you Father, Amen Post No. keys-l: /1999-08-06/5997 From: J J Dewey Subject: Contact Welcome back Tracy. Glad to have you back breathing fresh air. Your quitting smoking will be an example to others in the group who want to quit for what one can do all can do. I had company tonight so just have time for a quick addition to the meditation. Keep in mind hat this will be an ongoing meditation like none other that you have experienced. It will have no end and can even continue after death. The next step in the meditation: You are in your room and are gathering around you all the things you need to make you comfortable and that will enhance you power to serve. Now as you think about it you become aware of other members of the group not far from you in rooms of their own. They may not even be in the present time. Someone close to your heart may not be there now but next week or next month, but you can still feel their presence. Several others you can sense in the present time. For this next day concentrate on just feeling and sensing the presence of others in their rooms. Do not try and enter other rooms or see them yet, but just feel the vibration of others who have made this journey with you and join in Purpose and Love with them. More tomorrow. It is important that all who are interested follow these exercises as we go, but each of them can be repeated as often as the need requires. Perhaps someone would like to describe the room that they are in the process of creating. I have had problems with meditation for the last almost 4 years due to a constant movement within my being that feels like I am a flag waving in the wind. With it comes a heavy gravitational pull type of feeling. I have been to the doctor. Nobody has heard of anything like this so I 'know' that it is not of a physical nature. However, it does tend to distract me in meditation. I tried anyway and felt like I was floating in a space filled with white and lavenders and purples that moved gently. I saw people occasionally and old buildings that would change when I tried to get a better look. I was unable to visualize the pyramid but I think that will come with time. I had the feeling of watc
