I love languages. I could merge in it. "Question: Is this still a possibility today? Can we still partake of the manna from heaven and never taste physical death as Jesus taught?" of course. We're still human people. It sounds like you're conscious that many people resist the idea. Someway I wonder at that. I always had an uncontrollable faith in wonders of life, and needed years before I got used and simply could understand the illusions prevailing in earth people, like "in life you're forced to do things", "in life you're in chains" etc.... A big soul contact told me the contrary, to the point that these ideas sounded un- understandable, and later ridiculous. That contact also instantaneously gave me the feeling and answer, the truth that completed this illusion with wisdom and answer. Then emotions, anger, conflict took the way, i got down in belly, and fell from heaven. but it was very late, around 10. But the answer from above was instantaneous, I know that:-) I don't mean JJ is comparable to B & B, I mean that I wondered at the time if there were true teachers around, and if I could be a student of one. Thankyou, I lovingly answer you and wish you and everyone much love :o] "Ok, let's say that you're the chef of your reality :) Furthermore, you have an endless appetite for life, the one you create. What you decide to cook and take inside of yourself becomes you, you are the decision you feed yourself with. However, it takes a little while before you can taste your creation and determine its nutritional value. Is it what you desire right now, does it meet your likes or is to your dislike?" I understand what you are writing, isn't this a little like pleasing our egos? :o] "Do you need to spice up your life, (no pun or reference to those British Spice dudettes intended!:) does your self created dish need more salt, or perhaps it should be a little sweeter in taste? This process of deciding what to cook and what it really tasted like (=3Dto make decisions in the now and then perceiving the outcome of those decisions, seeing the changes they created in the current reality) is an ongoing cycle, and thanks to the lag between what you are creating and what the perception of it really is like for you in your current circumstances you are able to alter the recipe in the now in the desired direction, create yourself anew thru your decision in the now, based on your perception of the decision you had made before. And what you decide is of course tied to where you are in your life right now. Few start their days with a glass of wine in the morning, but that same glass may fit perfectly with a romantic dinner :) There's a time and place (space:) for everything." I understand what you are saying and up to this weekend that has just passed have lived with deciding on a creation according to our needs. What if one makes the decision to cut through the illusion created by our ego/need self, faced one's fears, blocks limiting beliefs etc becoming the observer and choosing to commune with the divine love that everyone is. Could one say at that point every decision would be from a state of love and inner peace? If one feels completely fulfilled and complete by divine love and is directed by our higher/divine self, then whatever else comes to us could be seen as an added bonus? "Me myself, the flu bug bit me and I could use capuccino and some homemade cookies right now :D" Did you manage to get the capuccino/cookies and fight the flu bug off? "Quite random I'd say :) The events would be like loose bubbles dwelling in space instead of creating a coherent continuous chain. Whether or not you make conscious decisions, you still end up somewhere... and perhaps what is the start of self-consciousness is realizing that hey, what I choose here actually changes reality, my decisions do have an effect, so why not utilize this great gift :)" If one is following their higher self, instead of their ego self, would life be random or the randomness only be an illusion? Would everything be as it is meant to be? Having Freewill to choose our reality and create the effect that a person wants can be viewed as a gift, however is communing with divine love and following the path of our higher self could be viewed as even more of a precious gift. "Maybe a level of consciousness is about realizing how far-reaching our decisions can be, and then being able to reach the level of being able to manifesting those decisions. I think that whether or not conscious direction is involved in decision making, one is still responsible for their actions." Your point up above could be referred to as looking at the bigger picture, taking responsibility for our actions could be referred to as maturity in the individual. If one is responsible for their actions then could one also say that they are responsible for their reactions? "In physical universe, we are all under the same laws of action and reaction. If I choose to push a swing away from me, it's bound to come back at me whether or not I really contemplated about doing it in the first place or I just got a random thought that lasted for a split-second that caused me to push the swing. Action and the reaction to it, or Karma being a form of this same principle, affect us as much whether or not the decisions we make are of the constructive or tearing kind. But as soon as we start perceiving the true effects of our decisions, we will grasp understanding of which kind of decisions are for the most good, for ourselves as individuals as well as humanity as a whole. What you give eventually always comes back to you, and what you decide to give is who you decide to be in relation to what you perceive around you. As you decide to change yourself, what comes back to you will also be different... If that is your decision :)" Yes in the physical universe one could say that they are under laws of karma, and can have an effect on the decisions that they make. However what if one decides to follow their higher self and follow their spiritual path with the feeling of divine love and everything they did was from a state of love and inner peace would they still be attached to karma, or would everything be how it is meant to be? Thanks for your post, it has given me much food for thought and non thought. :o] ahhahahahahhahahha I just thought of your cooking example you used. I just got the post from JJ the game was over, and posted straight away my third message today. It appeared instantly in my in-box. Two other messages today took almost two hours each!!" OK, Folks. It's time you knew the twuth. The real reason that some posts appear nearly instantaneously, while others seem to take hours is that strange space aliens from another dimension have taken control of this dimension's space and time. It's hard to say when this initially began, as all matters surrounding time and space are being manipulated continuously. It's interesting to note that JJ actually named Zor as the leader of these inter dimensional time and space manipulators. In twuth, Zor is not the leader, as within the originating dimension, there are no leaders, only equals. But Zor has come forward as the spokesperson for these entities who call themselves the Lodoshittia, (pronounced: load-oh-shittia). Now we humans have been led to believe that internet posts are sometimes stalled due to congestion on the web. But this is not twue. The real twuth is that any time we hit that "send" button, all time is suspended by the Lodoshittia, and our messages are reviewed by these great and benevolent entities. When the Lodoshittia review the messages sent, they actually re-order the sequence of messages and reintroduce them into the time-space continuum of this dimension. Some of our messages seem to pass instantaneously while others are held in stasis until a more appropriate time. Then these messages are allowed to pass. Zor explains that this is being done to promote the advancement of mankind into the next dimension, where there will be no more delay in our internet posts. And what a happy day that will be. Zor also explains that in the next dimension there will be no more broken fingernails and no more hemorrhoids, as both the women and the men of this dimension consider these to be a real pain in the a**. Of course, you have never heard this twuth before, as Zor has only spoken it to me. He also explains that this passing into the next dimension will occur this evening at exactly 6:00 PM. No need to worry what time zone you live in, as the Lodoshittia will hold back all time zones until the 6:00 hour arrives for each of us. Now this next part is EXTREMELY important. Zor has told me that if any of us wish to make the dimensional shift a smooth ride, we should follow his instructions very carefully. He says that as your 6:00 hour approaches, you should rise up to your feet, lift one leg in the air, and hop in a circle on the other, while whistling the melody of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, which is actually the cosmic song of ascension. He also says that if you don't follow these instructions, you may not realize the shift is occurring, as there is no way we can actually perceive the change with our five senses. These are the words of Zor, spokesperson of the Lodoshittia. They are twue and twustworthy. If anyone would like more information on the shift or conditions in the next dimension, you should send a donation of $500 to the artist formerly known as John, now known as the Bull of Lodoshittia. P.S. Please send your donation via Western Union, as we don't have much time. I felt I had learned all I needed to learn from them, and taught all I needed to teach them. The well had run dry, so I began to search for a new source of information. That's when I stumbled across www.freeread.com. I then read Books I and II, which challenged my mind and spirituality in a ways I had never imagined. Then while reading some messages in the Lumeria group a while back, I came across Ricks invitation to join the The Keys of Knowledge List, which has challenged me even more than the Books. The most important quality a student needs to prove he is ready, is the genuine longing for Truth, and the willingness to accept that Truth when he/she sees it. Love, Rick Post No. keys-l: /1999-04-27/4103 From: Glenys Lowery Subject: Re: Confirmation of Principles JJ, I thoroughly enjoyed your commentary on the illusions attached to 'going within'. Thank you. One theory you didn't mention (maybe because you consider it to be invalid) is that of morphic resonance developed by Rupert Sheldrake. Sheldrake's believes learning and memory are based on the concepts of morphic fields and morphic resonance. The basic hypothesis is that learning occurs also at the level of species. If some individuals of the species have learned some habit then it becomes easier for the remaining individuals of the species to learn the same habit. (Similar to Watson's 100th Monkey Syndrome, I guess). The individuals who learned the habit first need not even live anymore or can live in a distant part of the world. So the idea is that there is a kind of memory in nature. Each kind of thing has a collective memory. So a dog living in London now is being influenced by all past dogs. And how that influence moves across time, the collective dog-memory both for form and for instincts, is given by morphic resonance. It's a theory of collective memory throughout nature. In some respects, it's similar to Jung's theories regarding the collective unconscious. Do you think morphic resonance and/or the collective unconscious provide tools for the access to species information? I know they would still be regarded as occurring outside of oneself but looked at another way, they wouldn't be if we accept that it we are all one. Question: What qualities in the student show that he is ready?" Hi Folks, Well, I've seen reference to the fact that God's wisdom is built, "precept upon precept". The quality in the student then is to have fully grasped the precept, or principle, that has already been given to them. Attempting to go beyond their current level of understanding would lead to failure, as there would be no solid foundation to build upon. While a fully realized principle leads very smoothly to another, and then another. Like an illustration I've used before is "can steel fly?" If the law of aerodynamics is fully implemented, then yes, steel can fly. But if one were to jump onto a hunk of steel and throw themselves over a cliff, they would fall. It's only when one has fully implemented the principle of aerodynamics can one build for themselves an aeroplane and make it fly. But for now, I'll wait for Captain JJ to show us his flight plan. I know they would still be regarded as occurring outside of oneself but looked at another way, they wouldn't be if we accept that it we are all one." As Glenys says, this follows the line of the 100th monkey idea. When one money learned something new monkeys out of contact, even on other islands soon picked up the information. Did the monkeys go within? Can we go within and pick up information in the mass consciousness. First of all - all things are possible. It is possible that someone could have picked up the number -2 that I wrote down, but before a person could have done it he or she would have had to understand the principles governing the obtaining of such information. If you try to obtain data hidden from normal human senses before obtaining the principle that reveals it then the data obtained will be random. There is a principle involved in the sharing of knowledge through a species. From a higher viewpoint each species is one life. The human race, for instance, has a collective evolving consciousness as real as one individual human. When your nose itches your whole being is aware of the problem. When you learned to walk as a child your whole body learns and adjust to the new balance that is being developed. When you learn that apples are good for you the whole body again knows this and cooperates in assimilating them. Even so all monkeys together produce a collective consciousness as do humans and all other species. When one part of the species learns a new principle (not necessarily facts) then that principle is soon communicated by natural means throughout the whole species. The contest for the number was not meant to demonstrate the uselessness of going within, but the limitation of going within for normal human beings. If we are deceived into thinking at all we have to do is "go within," and then we can retrieve anything, then we are likely to get caught up in illusion, and if we imagine we are right we will think we are right. I cannot repeat enough times that the great value of going within is first for verification of principles and secondly (after this ability is achieved) for the retrieving of principles. Remember this. It takes a thousand facts to cause a person to understand one principle, but the understanding of one principle reveals thousands of facts. It takes a certain point in the evolution of the human being to comprehend the difference between a principle and a fact but when he does, and learns to go within and touch the soul, then all the understanding and vision of a principle is revealed in a flash. Sometimes a book can be written about a principle revealed in one instant. Xavier seemed to have some experience with this for he said: "That contact also instantaneously gave me the feeling and answer, the truth that completed this illusion with wisdom and answer." Suppose then that you want to acquire knowledge of higher teachings. How do you go about it? The first thing to do is to check all available books, people and sources readily available. You'll be surprised how much information is there with a little research. Your Solar Angel who works through your soul and higher entities up to the Masters will not do for you what you can do for yourself. Many people are just lazy and expect some Master to appear to them (when he has much more important things to do) and tell them information that is already in your local bookstore. So when you have then done your part and searched everywhere you can for higher knowledge what then? The simple answer is given in the scriptures: James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. When you have reached that dead end the final step is to ask God through prayer, meditation, contemplation, or preferably all three. Notice it says to "ask in faith, nothing wavering." This basically means to put your full ATTENTION on what you want after you have made a DECISION to obtain it. When your focus is concentrated, then, after a period of time, the answer will come. Let us suppose you want to know whether having an abortion is right or wrong. You read books on it and listen to all kinds of arguments on both sides of the issue, but still do not know for sure. The final step then is to ask your version of God with an open mind and a willingness to accept the answer no matter what it is. You must be interested in truth only, not an agenda. The chances are then slim that you will hear some voice saying: "Here is the truth on abortion..." Instead you go through a period of prayer, meditation, contemplation and reflection. As you do this certain phrases you have learned in the past will start coming to your mind and you will begin to sense that some higher power is selecting information from your memory banks and running them by your mind as if they are clues. If you pay attention to these clues and reflect on them, then the time will come that the principle that governs this will come to you in a flash. After this flash you will see all the data that is in your mind on the issue in a different light and will be able to gather to yourself all knowledge that makes sense in relation to the new principle you now understand. You are now able to put the pieces of the puzzle together in such a way that you can see the big picture in a way that now seems obvious. If you are a servant on the Path and have the capacity and willingness to serve humanity your questions will sometimes be answered by an advanced unseen entity and on rare occasions one will be manifested to you. Advanced entities will not bother with personal questions like "What should I do for a career?" or "Who should I marry?" They will only help you with answers that will increase your power to serve. Many lesser evolved channeled entities answer all kinds of personal questions which often lead the seeker in the wrong direction and interfere with his own personal power of discovering the answer for himself. The Master has told us to "seek and ye shall find." I doubted this at one time because my questions were not answered immediately but because I persevered I have discovered that this statement is absolutely true. The truth of all things are before us waiting to be discovered. A third way to get answers is to discover a teacher who has some type of accurate higher contact. This alone does not make it easy for you because for every one teacher of truth there are a dozen or more teaching misinformation. So in the search for a teacher you must still get in touch with your own soul and test out the words and principles of all who wish to lead you to greener pastures. When you do find one who does truly speak the words of the Spirit then he or she can greatly stimulate your learning and progression by presenting you with information and principles that you may have never in this life presented to yourself. Zia tells us "Creation is a brand new adventure." This can also be said of the discovery of truth. Question of the day: Who would a Master be most likely to contact and assist? (a) Dave has just discovered some higher knowledge that will help the people of earth live in greater light and peace. He seeks help from God to present this to the world. (b) Sue travels the country teaching seminars and is a strong influence on many people. She seeks help from a Higher Power to form some inspired organization to help those interested and bring them together. (c) Scott just won a million dollar lottery and wants to dedicate his life to serving mankind now he has all his time free. He asks God to tell him what he should do. (d) Lori has been a sincere seeker all her life and has studied and sought diligently for over 20 years. Now she seeks even higher knowledge and some direction as to what to do with it. (e) Scott also has been a sincere seeker all his life and has studied and sought diligently for over 20 years. He starts a project that he believes will help mankind but does not seem to care as to whether he ever sees a master or not. Which answer do you think is correct and why? He starts a project that he believes will help mankind but does not seem to care as to whether he ever sees a master or not." "Which answer do you think is correct and why?" Everyone of the answers I believe would inspire help from a Master. However, we're here to learn and grow by on our own first. After we have done everything in our power to accomplish something, and have still failed, then it's a good time to request help. This is how I think most of these would go. (a) Dave doesn't necessarily have to have direct assistance from a Master in order accomplish his goals. The higher knowledge and light should speak for itself once people understand it. (b) Sue has several assistance programs at her disposal to help her accomplish her goals. If she fails to acquire help from any of these programs, then there is a possibility that she may get help from a Master. Probably not directly, however. (c) Scott just won a million dollar lottery. There are tons of things he could do. He doesn't necessarily need a Master to tell him what to do. He has his free will, he should use it. It's wonderful if he chooses to use it for the benefit of Mankind. The average individual could think of something, I'm sure. (d) Lori has actually put in the effort to learn as much as she can, but has she done anything with the stuff she's learned so far? There is a lot to be learned in putting the stuff you know into practice. If she hasn't done that yet, a Master probably won't contact her directly. (e) While Scott doesn't seem to care whether he sees a Master or not, I still believe he is the most likely to get direct help from one. He has not only put in the 20 years worth of effort to learn these valuable lessons, he is putting them into practice. He is dedicating his life to the service of mankind, which is basically the job description of a Master. Who better to teach a budding Master, than a true Master? So, ultimately my choice would be E. However, after some effort on their part, they all have the potential to be directly contacted by a Master. - Dave Post No. keys-l: /1999-04-27/4110 From: J J Dewey Subject: Links I am in the process of revising the website at freeread.com and am going to create a links section and thought I would ask for your help. Better still go ahead and post them on the list. Then readers could surf there and post their comments. Here are sites I am interested in. He starts a project that he believes will help mankind but does not seem to care as to whether he ever sees a master or not." "Which answer do you think is correct and why?" Hi Folks, It would seem that each of these examples might capture the attention, if not the direct intervention, of one of the Masters. But there seems to be one difference that stares back at me when I go through the list. I believe the difference is referenced by the Master Jesus. Check this out: Matt 16:1-3 1 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven. 2 He replied, "When evening comes, you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,' 3 and in the morning, 'Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. (NIV) Out of our list of fine folks, it seems the only one who has seen accurately the sign of the times is Scott. For he has done his study. He's understood that he has a part to play, and has implemented that understanding by starting a project which he believes will help mankind. Rather than seeking after the manifestation of any Master, he's gone about the business of doing his work. One principle that I am applying here is "like attracts like". It seems to me that Scott comes the closest to actually working in the pattern of a master. So by this association, Scott may one day see a manifestation of a master. But in the meantime, he already knows that the masters and he are one. They're one, not based on some unsubstantiated claim, but by the similarity of their work. On another note: Samu, where are you? I've been missing your "voice" at the dinner table. :o) Don't stay away too long, ok brother? Glad Tidings to All of You! He has just discovered some higher knowledge which would indicate to me that he's already achieved a certain degree of soul contact that the others haven't. So he would have already been noticed by the masters (or more accurately, *a* master) and perhaps already contacted by one means or another. He seeks help from God to present the knowledge to the world because he knows that it could change the course of history and does not want to rely on his own strength. He is expressing his humility and is essentially affirming, 'not my will God, but yours; not in my strength but yours'. Remember in the book how JJ sought the advice of John as to how best to share his knowledge. It was John, the Master, who suggested what he should do next. Scott (2) has an idea and has decided to run with it. He hasn't prayed or meditated etc because he is obviously confident enough not to need to do it. He's a great philanthropist but too independent to be approached by a Master yet. I wish it was Lori because she sounds so much like me. Diligent study all my life and doing nothing much with it! There is a major achievement in conquering this enemy before this death is destroyed. Both Elijah, Moses and Abraham reached this point. Moses just seemed to disappear and his body was never found and Elijah was said to have been taken into heaven without tasting death. Abraham and Sarah's bodies were renewed so they could have a child at the age of 100. These are hints about a major point in evolution we reach before the final mastery. What is this achievement? Hint: Think 5th initiation. Death is called the last enemy because its power over us is the last obstacle to overcome before maximum freedom is obtained on the physical plane. It is true there are other glorious worlds beyond this one but there will be times that we will want to manifest in the physical world for one reason or another. Overcoming physical death allows us this freedom. There are other obstacles in other spheres, but physical death is the greatest on this plane. Before Christ physical death was partially overcome by disciples who reached the fourth and fifth initiations. These disciples received a rejuvenation of their bodies and lived for an extended period on the physical plane. The Christ did something different. He allowed his body to be virtually destroyed and then rebuilt it demonstrating complete power of the Spirit over the body. In addition He demonstrated that the body could be folded up into spirit and that while keeping the ability to manifest physically, He could manifest and travel to all worlds of human and God endeavor. Glenys asked why Paul was blinded by a vision of Christ, John saw a glorious Christ in vision but others saw him through normal eyes. The answer is this. If Christ were to manifest clear down to the physical level we could then look upon him as a normal man for the glory that blinded Paul would be hidden by the physical body. On the other hand, if a high entity is consciously dwelling on a higher plane and we ascend in consciousness to meet that entity then we will "see him as he is." If the entity is quickened by spiritual light he will have a presence brighter than the sun. Peter, James and John saw the true glory of Christ on the mount of transfiguration where they saw his face "shine as the sun." Mat 17:2. Here their eyes saw beyond the illusion of the body and they saw their Master as He was. Thanks for the links you are sending. One sent by Glenys had a tremendous amount of free reading matter. Heheheeeee :D About the latest question from JJ, I sort of have a problem with the words in the descriptions of the candidates, because to me they can be 2 ways. JJ Dewey wrote: "(a) Dave has just discovered some higher knowledge that will help the people of earth live in greater light and peace. He seeks help from God to present this to the world." Does *discovered* here mean he read something or he gained knowledge thru soul contact? If latter, then I think I'd have to join Glenys's one-woman party and pick Dave as the most likely to be contacted :) He'd be contacted by a Master because his willingness to work selflessly according to the higher plan to manifest something that would bring the whole mankind a new level of evolution, where as the description of Scott 2 says: "(e) Scott also has been a sincere seeker all his life and has studied and sought diligently for over 20 years. He starts a project that he believes will help mankind but does not seem to care as to whether he ever sees a master or not." which to me carries the vibe that he might be a little too self-confident in his vision and its success. It could be saying too that he's got a lot of faith, maybe it's because English is not my native language that I can't seem to be sure which way it is, but I am leaning towards Scott's possible ego part - I think it's important to have both self-confidence but also know that there comes a point when one has gone as far as he can by his own where outside assistance is invaluable. You might think you know how to solve a problem with what you got, and you actually may, but then in comes a being with a formula that works much faster and more effective. And makes the student say, yes of course, and s/he'll see everything in a new Light! So I do think you should care about whether you ever see a Master or not :) I wish all my Brothers and Sisters most wonderful day, Your buddy, Samu :) Post No. Keys-04-28-1999/4126 From: J J Dewey Subject: The Dark Night The Dark Night of the Soul The one most likely to get help from a Master is: (e) Scott also has been a sincere seeker all his life and has studied and sought diligently for over 20 years. He starts a project that he believes will help mankind but does not seem to care as to whether he ever sees a master or not. Most of you wisely suspected that this was the correct answer, however Glenys had a good reason for believing in another possibility. In addition to my last tricky quiz making her suspicious she mentioned that others sought help from a higher power whereas Scott in (e) did not as far as we know. Seeking help from God and a higher power is indeed a positive thing and if faith is exercised then it will be forthcoming, but not necessarily from a Master. There are unseen helpers from the unseen worlds and then there is also guidance from our own souls which Alice A Bailey call "a Master on its own plane." The Christ and his associates have much work to do on their own plane and are limited by several factors as to who they can and will work with in the mortal world. I believe it was Xavier who said "like attracts like." This was a wise statement. If you want to draw the attention of a Master you have to think and act like a Master. And how is that? The master is an initiate and he will begin a work of some kind and seek to follow it through as Dave did in the parable on Decision. Note that when Dave was visited by the second angel he was not seeking or expecting such a visit. He was just happily proceeding doing a great work of turning hell into heaven and in a moment he was not expecting it a messenger appeared. This is also pointed our in the Bible by Jesus. " Watch (pay attention) therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." Matt 24:42 We also have the parable of the talents: 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matt 25:14 For [the kingdom of heaven is] as a man traveling into a far country, [who] called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. Matt 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Matt 25:16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made [them] other five talents. Matt 25:17 And likewise he that [had received] two, he also gained other two. Matt 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. Matt 25:19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. Matt 25:20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. Matt 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matt 25:22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. Matt 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matt 25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: Matt 25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, [there] thou hast [that is] thine. Matt 25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, [Thou] wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Matt 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and [then] at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give [it] unto him which hath ten talents. Matt 25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. Matt 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Notice here that the ones who were praised and rewarded by the Master were they who used their initiative and multiplied what they had. It is interesting then that if all a person does is to seek guidance and the favor and visitation of a Master or sensational spiritual experiences, he will be quite unlikely to have a visitation of a true teacher. Instead he is setting himself up to be deceived by some entity pretending to be a master. This could be a teacher on the physical plane or some channeled entity. He who is most likely to obtain a visit will be he who actually attempts to do the will of God no matter what the difficulty and will proceed with a good work whether or not any Master visits him. When such a person is making progress and is in a state of mind where he doesn't care if the Masters are paying attention or not then the Masters will start to pay attention. The person grumbling about a lack of signs or assistance will often have neither. One of the things each true servant must learn is to find the power of God manifesting through himself through the medium of his own soul. A final barrier before the student makes the necessary spiritual contacts is called loosely the dark night of the soul. Now most people feel loneliness now and then to a degree, but the student on the threshold of greater spiritual contact will go through a period of loneliness and feelings of isolation that eclipses any feelings of loneliness that the average person experiences. This loneliness is often accompanied by a feeling that he or she is different and there is no one else on the planet who can understand what he is going through or communicate effectively with them. To some it will seem that a dark cloud also hangs over them. If the student in this condition gives up in his quest for higher knowledge then soon things will return to normal, but will soon have to go through the dark night again. On the other hand, if he perseveres he will eventually arrive at a higher level of consciousness and soul contact. After he passes through this dark night he will realize something very interesting. He is not alone. He finds he is in "communion with the saints" as it is written in Christian terminology. In other writings "he finds his group." But it will be a spiritual group that has an eternal presence before his soul. Once this happens new vistas of understanding open up to him and he will never feel that "aloneness" feeling again and it is almost impossible for such a one to become depressed. Let's have some of you relate your own dark nights. Are some of you struggling with it now? Have some of you struggled with something like this just before you came to a greater spiritual plateau? Does this concept resonate with you? Are some of you struggling with it now? Have some of you struggled with something like this just before you came to a greater spiritual plateau? Does this concept resonate with you?" Ohhhhhhhhhhh Boy!, mine was interesting. The feeling of dread still lingers with me, since it was so recent, just a few months back. For me it was similar in a way to JJ's experience of the false John hovering beside his bed. Let me say up front that there is no way I could accurately describe this experience in words, but try I will. It was during a time of the deepest contemplation when I "saw" a vision and received an impression that I had gone too far, whatever THAT is, and I experienced a feeling of what I could only describe as being rejected by God, and that my future held certain "damnation". I remember feeling that this was real. That somehow there was no one to help me. And I remember "hearing" a voice asking me, mockingly, "well, what will you do now that you have seen your certain demise?" Now try to understand that in this instance I truly believed the "vision", and "felt" the dread of it. I'm smiling now because in that moment I had another feeling well up inside of me. I can only describe it as indignation. I remember rising to my feet and saying out loud, "Even if this is the case, I will do what's right! I will not be turned into a servant of any dark cause, even if this dark fate HAS been sealed!" And I was seriously speaking to whatever entity that had caused such an experience within me. It wasn't long before another feeling came that answered the reason, at least in my case, for that experience. And from it I learned a principle. The principle, as I understood it, was that if I was to do good, it must not be for the sake of some reward for this good, but rather simply because I KNOW it to be good. Period, end of sentence! And in this moment, the scripture comes to me which reads, "Though He slay me, yet will I serve him". As I said already, this was very real to me. I truly believed at that moment that I was cast away and alone! A chilling experience to say the least. But since that time, and with the help of many, I have come to understand I'm NOT alone. I never have been. And I never will be, not even in my mind, ever again. Well, that was it. I no longer fear not being recognized for any service. Because it just doesn't matter. I will do good for the sake of good, to the best of my ability, that is. And I only now seek to improve the good I might do, not for greater reward, but simply because it's who I've decided to become. Oh, to be liberated from the need for reward or recognition is liberty indeed! And freedom! I thank God for that dark night of the soul. It's what cemented the bond I feel with God. Never to depart again! I acknowledge what you wrote about Scott and Why a Master would contact Scott however what came to me before was sometimes the Master and Student don't really physically know whom they are to teach and then 2 examples came to mind. Ex. 1 In the Immortal John didn't know who he was suppose to teach and Joseph certainly didn't have a clue that he was about to become a student of a teacher. All is Joseph and John had in common is this, John knew to ring the bell and a student would appear. Joseph heard the bell ring and knew he had to find the source. Ex. 2 A long time ago I watched a program on TV about a little boy that was to be the next Master of a monastery. Before the old master died he told his beloved student that he would reincarnate in a particular area. When the old master died they searched for him in his new body. They found a male toddler of a mother who was into the Budhist religion in a big way. Once the beloved student and the little boy met there was a certain knowingness. So the little boy and mother went to the monastery. The students got out the masters old things and placed them in the same room as the little boy, the little boy went straight to the old master's cup and said mine. What is common about these two examples is the knowingness. Maybe any one of your 5 examples could be contacted by a master at anytime, it could be the knowingness that could distinguish one from another. Have some of you struggled with something like this just before you came to a greater spiritual plateau? Does this concept resonate with you?" Without getting out the violins and then being really really morbid hahahahahhahhahah hahhaha haahahahhahahahhahahhahahaha I will try and relate my tail as light and joyful as I possibly can. You asked for this JJ :o] First of all my life until now has been a constant battle of being accepted, struggling just to live happily while external events keep popping up as I went through repeated limiting patterns of behaviour. I have been in this life for most of it without any sense of direction at all until now. Some of the things I have encountered: 1. Group Outcasting - been through this one at least 5 times from 30 up to 600 approx. people, and no it is not an exaggeration, Did I overcome and break this pattern Yay! 2. Had a complete breakdown at a young age this left me with Chronic Depression and Chronic Anxiety for 10 years, massive panic attacks that no matter how I tried I could not do anything to shift this state until recently. 3. Had many verbally and emotionally abusive relationships Looks like it is now the start to more fulfilling relationships. 4. Had the lesson of Abandonment twice 5. Lessons from being a Sole Parent from the beginning of the pregnancy right through to present. 6. Being celibate for 5 years won't say anymore about this one *LOL* :oD 7. I had one skill in this life that was a pain in the but at the beginning. I could feel other people's feelings, to the point that these feelings didn't match my own. I had a sense of the future and sure enough. I would have dreams and they would become real. A lot were not pleasant. Now the skill is quite useful. 8. Most of my life I felt I was a mismatch misfit even in my own family. For a part of my life I felt I had died inside and went through grieving. Then I couldn't feel at all, like a zombie. All the while people where stealing, overcharging, rejecting, manipulating, intimidating me and I couldn't really connect at all, I felt God was separate from me and I was completely alone, I was in a place with no friends, no family, no real emotional support system while raising my child and overcoming the depression and being an outcast. So I could say that I was in a living hell Not to mention my renovation /tenant disaster. In amongst the above there were some good things that happened too and no matter what, I have always managed to keep my optimism, faith, strength. The good that has come out of all of this I am being led to be there for people, I am being led in the field of motivation and guiding people in releasing limiting blocks, beliefs find some sort of direction and my experience has benefited others, I can really understand what people go through because I know a lot of it I have experienced. I can really understand what Jesus went through when he was on Earth. At times I felt that I was going through a sacrifice/surrender too. The wonderful news is now I can feel the wonderful love of God in my heart and I feel the happiest I have been in my life. I felt a healing of love go though my whole entire body the other night, I have never experienced anything like it. I feel truly loved by God and it feels so complete, I have movement in my life now and people are reacting to me differently it is so nice. The challenges are still there but I think compared to the above it is a bit like I can face anything, believe anything is possible. God is sending me teachers left and right not to mention the manifestations. I don't have to wait for heaven I feel that I am experiencing it inside of me. Your book the Immortal was the start to all of this JJ. Thank you it quenched my thirst. With everything that happened I wouldn't change any of it because now I wouldn't have what I have or be who I am at present :o] Sorry guys this was a long post, sorry Samu for the long post I sent you I do go on a bit sometimes :o] especially when I feel so much inspiration, love, passion. enthusiasm and excitement etc... Most of my life I lived as if Jesus walked the path with me, as my very best friend. The other night I experienced a feeling of abandonment and loneliness the likes of which I have only experienced once before. I began worrying profusely about the future and what it had in store. Things like the prophecies of Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, and various others started flashing through my head constantly. I started comparing them to Kosovo and found incredible similarities, especially with Nostradamus. As my fear of the future began to increase, my feeling of loneliness began to grow as well. I felt as if Christ had left me to fend for myself, and I wasn't sure I could. I still feel a sense of loneliness to a degree, but I keep moving forward. I've learned a lot about friendship and diversity. I've learned a lot about Love, the likes of which I couldn't grasp before. I understand that everything I go through, good or bad, helps me learn something. This helps me move forward, even in times when I feel like just giving up. My dark night is still occurring, and I expect it to get worse before it gets better. But, I've never encountered a dark tunnel, that didn't have a light at the other end. - Dave Post No. Keys-04-29-1999/4135 From: Sharron and Richard Subject: Dark night of the Soul Regarding stories of the dark light of the soul: mine is a joyous dark night story, if that make any sense. 4 1/2 yrs. ago I had a stroke, this was before the injection that's supposed to help limit serious damage. I have been a seeker and searcher most of my life, waiting for life to start making sense when I was 12 yrs. and being confirmed in the Episcopal church, then when I though it was my turn to ask questions, as an answer to each question I was told to just have more faith and not question my betters, which did nothing to aid my search, then a 19 yrs. old, in my second apartment, I would stand outside every night looking up at a golden star, crying to go back ( E.T. phone home?) Then Life came rushing in, marriage, kids, etc. and while I was still searching, I wasn't totally dedicated, then in order to be closer to our teacher we left Texas for Washington state, then reality set in with my stroke, happiness was NOT my first reaction, but it is now, the stroke was the greatest gift and blessing of my life, I am now able to truly focus now and to appreciate every day to its fullest. I improve more every day and while my left side is not as it was, it WILL BE! My doctor keeps saying, "I don't know what you are doing, but keep doing it". That is why I say my dark night of the soul was and is a joyous experience, in the midst of deepest despair, I was given so much. There are a few people that understand what I am talking about, most only think I have a positive outlook on life, which I do, but only a few understand the true miracle I was given. I have had a lot of dark nights in my life, but the one that was the strongest occurred 30 years ago. the book "There Is A River" a biography about Edgar Cayce was highly recommended to me. I checked it out of the library and read it with zest. Nothing that I read in it seemed strange to me and then I got to the last pages and when I finished, I felt completely empty (weak word for what I felt). Something was missing in my life. I felt completely alone even with my family around me. I went on like that picking up different books about astrology and the such trying to fill the emptiness. Then I learned about an Edgar Cayce Study Group being started in town. There I learned to meditate and found the gap slowly filling in. But I needed more "food". I was so hungry I began to diligently search into anything and everything so called occult. I almost got myself into some serious spiritual trouble because I didn't realize that I should be using protection at first. I did keep the Bible as my mainstay through all of it and I know my Guardian Angels were with me through it all. Then I went through about 20 years of no study, never forgetting what I had learned and continuing to pray because that was my mainstay. Only my promises to the Lord kept me going. Then three or a little more years ago I got up one morning with the strong feeling that "I have to hurry". I learned how to get along with the net and JJ was the first to contact me with the invitation to read The Immortal. The feelings of being alone left the morning I awoke needing to hurry. Somehow I just knew I was not alone. One morning I awoke, sat up and heard a beautiful voice saying, "Good morning to you" and I couldn't see who it was. A few days ago while walking around the house, I heard another voice that said my name (I think). It happened so fast and the wind was blowing so I couldn't hear distinctly. Never the less I still know that I am not alone and that makes it easier to let go of fear that can go with loneliness. I still feel like I am in a kind of dark night, not quite mine, but the dark night of some close around me. So I do what I can to show the light. Every now and then, one or another will reveal a bit of that one's own light and that always gives me joy. In other writings "he finds his group." But it will be a spiritual group that has an eternal presence before his soul." Once this happens new vistas of understanding open up to him and he will never feel that "aloneness" feeling again and it is almost impossible for such a one to become depressed. Let's have some of you relate your own dark nights. Are some of you struggling with it now? Have some of you struggled with something like this just before you came to a greater spiritual plateau? Does this concept resonate with you?" Over the last fifteen years I have been mainly with one teacher, often in long retreats etc. Prior to that time I was with several teachers, encompassing yoga, Vipassana, meditations and working with energy centers on healing etc. A wonderful journey. Perhaps 8 or so years ago was the most challenging dark night, and that is not to say there were many, until I realized there was always a gift and I would always come through. At that time, I was in deep meditation and facing my own annihilation, not just the death of the body, but the fear that what I truly was could be annihilated. I tumbled for a long time, until I felt the presence of Jesus, and looked deeply into that fear. Without anything but love holding me, I understood its impossibility. And when death was taken off its pedestal of worship, my heart soul and spirit were set so unbelievably free. I love the beings that walk with me. I learnt long ago that fear draws like to it, and that without fear only what I was could come to me and be with me. I love all that I am given even if I do not need to identify it's level or who it is. It seems just like a well known friend on the telephone, and I am finding that the internet is almost the same. The love, the sharing and a wonderful feeling of oneness, and where are these people? Right here with me it seems. The principle of like drawing like has taught me immensely in life, and when all the fear, judgment, guilt, and beliefs especially in death are gone, then lo the Christ appears from out of the clouds...like a radiant noon day sun. The joy in my heart and my soul, and the love in every corner of my mind, made every dark night worth this magnificent gift. Then as I look upon the face of another, I see my own shining back at me. This concept definitely resonates with me. For me, this dark night does not involve aloneness. More like...ineptness ? I've expressed recently on this list that my brain has just not been working in the way I'm used to lately...I feel as though this may relate to a dark night experience for me. I have very high energy. I've always *burned the candle at both ends,* so to speak. I do not require much sleep. I'm also very creative. Lately, my creative focus has manifested in writing and watercolor paintings. As I've been able to manifest more clarity in my understanding of spiritual matters lately, I've been expressing same through written word. A little more than a month ago I became quiet. I learned some time ago that it doesn't work for me to force my creativity, either in writing or in painting. When I do, the manifestation is mangled, reflecting for me the struggle within. So as I felt this quiet come over me, I simply accepted it and consciously observed it. After several weeks I became a bit concerned. This appeared to be more than a temporary lull. My conscious observations of myself showed an apocalypse of my own going on. I could feel this very HEAVY undercurrent of listlessness. I had no interest in doing anything. I was able to perform my work functions, cook, do laundry, etc...but when I found free time I was lost. I'd read some emails, but felt unable to respond or interact with them...and some of them I couldn't even read...just wasn't interested...required more effort than I felt I had energy for. As I studied myself more and more, I observed that I learned at a very young age that I was never going to be able to effect a lasting change in anything. I realized that this paradigm was still clinging on to my essence, and it had actually GROWN to an astounding strength even though consciously I believe very differently. I felt like this part of me wanted to give up on life completely... wanted me to die. I was very frightened, and this sort of terror is not something I've experienced before. I felt as though this part of me that was willing me to die might be more powerful than my conscious awareness that has EVERY reason to choose to live. At the peak of this experience, I could actually hear voices arguing within me. Not with my ears, but within. I could hear a very angry voice saying, "Just DIE you worthless wench! You never finish anything you start anyway. You have no desire or reason to go on." Then I heard a calm voice saying, "You are LOVE. You are showing yourself more LOVE now than ever before. You are conscious of all that is in new ways in this now. LOVE yourself more, and live." I began to move out of this quiet space I'd been in for weeks. I took hope in the thought that if I were to begin finishing just one thing at a time, I would again find my God~dess warrior energy, supported by a more balanced sense of power than I'd previously known. I began with my kids. They've walked all over me from the day they were born. Twin boys they are...almost 11 yrs old now, and I'm a single mom. Their father lives in Chicago and we in Denver. He takes them four times a year, for a total of 12 days/yr. I told the boys that once I was a kid too, and as they do now, I also had said "When I grow up I'm doing to have it all and do things my way." I told them I'm realizing that this IS my "all and my way," and that it just isn't as I choose for it to be. I told them I'm no longer going to be a wimpy mom, and will insist that they participate in making our lives manifest comfortably for all of us, instead of me doing all the work. It's working! They're working and cooperating ...for the first time ! :-) and it's all coming about in a very loving and wonderful way. About the time I began this project, I was given my new name, AMara. This name was channeled at my request by a person on another list that knows nothing about me. The meaning: *she who was bitter but transmuted it to sweetness.* This was such a wonderful confirmation for me ! It brings tears to my eyes even now. I know I am LOVED and my trials are indeed known and supported! When I was in this *quiet* space, I didn't have a word for what I was feeling (or not). I wasn't depressed, upset, angry, unhappy with my life, wishing for something/someone, feeling like something was missing...??? I finally discovered that I was simply without inspiration. Since I couldn't put a finger on what it was that was missing, I couldn't do anything to change it. Now I can :-) Now...slowly but surely, I'm moving out of this *quiet* and back into the boundless energy of my essence that I so much enjoy. The other thing I've learned from this is that I haven't been working through my principles properly. I've always been very quick to create a compromise that works well for everyone concerned in a situation, including myself. The problem is, that I've jumped so quickly to this compromise, that I've been suppressing my negative feelings in the process. So one of my tasks in this now is to express my negative feelings...not just acknowledge and accept them, but also lovingly EXPRESS them, WHEN they come up, and WITH the person(s) they involve. It is for me to know that they are valid and important and part of the process BEFORE I jump to the compromise. This also keeps me from allowing myself to make others' feelings more important than my own, and helps me create balance in my interactions (like with the kids). Another result is that I am getting less approval in my life...but more LOVE :-) you are LOVED, AMara Joystar Question Reality http://www.freeread.com Post No. Keys-04-29-1999/4142 From: John Kosior Subject: Re: The Dark Night Marylin wrote: "I still feel like I am in a kind of dark night, not quite mine, but the dark night of some close around me." Greetings Keysters, Here's a thought I wanted to throw out there to see what you all think. And perhaps JJ can lend us his insight on this. If we as individuals each have some experience of the dark night of the soul, does it also stand to reason that humanity as a whole, with it's collective consciousness may also be subject to a dark night? And could it be that those of us who have experienced this may be among those who are to help the race to not completely lose it? You know it's been pretty quiet on the list for a few days. Maybe we are experiencing a dark night of the internet. :D Wishing you ALL pleasant thoughts, John Post No. Keys-04-29-1999/4143 From: Terrance R. Most of my life has felt like a roller coaster. I feel alone even with people I have much in common with--like this group for example, although support has been good when I ask for it. For those who've been with the list as long or longer than I, I'm sure you can see my ups and downs reflected in my posts. I have a hard time believing that people who seem positive all the time aren't just faking it. I feel so hopeless most of the time. I try to envision my future and see only blackness. What I find most frustrating is it seems my dark night has not stars nor moon to guide me. Before the light is turned on, so to speak, there is a "dark night of the soul". Only I wish it was, but a once only happening!!! Rob Hi, Rob, I'm new to the list by a couple of months so I don't remember seeing any of your posts. Firstly who's to say someone is not right, that's unfair, and don't take that one on board, after all, its only some else's opinion, which may not be correct, only you know the correct answer to that! We all have areas within our personalities that need work, a little refining here......a little modification there.......a huge chunk removed from over there........the list goes on........BUT Never Think Some-one Else Doesn't Have To Do This Also!!!! They do .....we all do....... Looking at ourselves honestly is difficult, but necessary...... Remember... focus on your strengths, your beauty, your God within you. Love starts with ourselves and learning to love ourselves is sometimes an arduous process. Knowing our faults a necessity, but know them through honest inner reflection not through the opinions of others. Affirmations are a good tool for this. A little self nurturing goes a long way too. Perhaps a note to yourself stuck on the bathroom mirror. So while your brushing those pearly whites you see:: YES I AM BEAUTIFUL/HANDSOME/LOVED. etc I AM WHAT I DECIDE TO BE-COME. First and foremost , we are all here to Be-come closer to God, to clear the way, so to speak, for our true selves to emerge, its an adventure of enormous proportions, with only success at its end/beginning. (I don't believe it ever ends ). I'm hoping this helps and I'm starting to ramble on, so if you would like to talk some more you can e-mail me on heather.s@bigpond.com Love & Light Heather. Have some of you struggled with something like this just before you came to a greater spiritual plateau? Does this concept resonate with you?" Funny, it is also a major topic of "nine faces of Christ". Well I had my dark night type of experience around 20, as I privately told Glenys days ago. Mind if I quote? (sorry if it is bothersome, but I feel it right to post) quotes: (this was to Anni) well spirit never dies, it only passes by phases of overshadowing, which build his strength up, there is an explosion, and a greater light and realization. I'm in an outer phase, which will make new issues arise, then I'll get smouldering in shadows, call the dragon, and there it goes again. I loved volcanoes as a child:-) Well what happens is that I get discouraged, stricken with fear and failure, and i spend some time before it explodes, and I someway express myself, tho not in the area i thought I "should" act. I get better, and expressive, friendly and a bit poetic thanks:-) Then new shadows are revealed, and I feel helpless and frightened again, and there goes another cycle. Some way I do believe in failure and inability. It's once that I'm really down and spent, that someway life renews things, and I see I am alive anyway, and able to do *some* things after all. I repeatedly relive my depression period (around 20s), tis funny. Everyone should go through that, and learn to get over depression. I guess I am learning to make it an instant process. (honesty...) Well I have gained it through a big social and human fall down. When humiliation became a habit, you are no more afraid of... (don't take it dramatic, it's not, there were other sides) ...what you look like for what you tell about yourself. Fool thing you know? Good way to get free of social fear, because nothing more to lose:-) Getting weird and unadapted.:-) And all the while opening spirit perspectives, and wonders. In fact I had to find the spirit path before accepting anything for power, personal power. I just shrank until I found that light. I refused to use any temporal power, except critic and irritation, judgment:-) All seemed brutal to me. Winning by personality means was vain, and as I couldn't serve any more, because of my unbalance, I just shrank:-) (hope I don't bother you:-) (I'm happy to tell that) I think I'm sincere because truth has been the last thing I clang to. I could let beauty and service down, but not truth. Soul type I guess. It's even hard to have much more truth than love, it dries you up. Some say wisdom is cold, love is warm, and too much "wisdom" freezes you. I'd say: consciousness of what really happens, all the negative that people don't see. I had a period when I saw so much negative, it was incredible. Another one when my mind was like a damned machine, that prevented me to act, and even talk and feel. I was constantly calculating:-) It was frightful with my girlfriend. (mind power, turned against action and letting go) "Mind is the source to slavery as well as liberation" I was told recently that I have the means to a great evolution but my mind prevents it. It's sure true, I always felt these two. Like a dam holding an artificial lake. Which is life. The dam is fear. Thanks Glenys:-) What's true is that thru these experiences I really had a contact with some light. To the point that I was speechless:-) And kind of felt I had seen, touched a treasure. And there IS light in my mind, but the whole body, and psychism, need cleaning and harmonizing:-) It's really weird to feel grandness from destruction and failure:-) It's kind of an insurance for any future so called big trouble:-) (I often say to myself: --because i often talk by myself as if i told things to others-- "what could happen to me now? What could really put me down? I don't see anything." But of course life is full of surprises, and now that I am a father, I figure I still could have a breakdown. But I would love it somehow, I would feel the heart experience and growth involved. "I'll shoot anyone that says 20s are the best time in life" LOL Glenys answered: ((It's really weird to feel grandness from destruction and failure:-) ) ) It's the only way it happens, IMHO. +++++++++++++++++++ Now this post is awkward, it is long, personal, and maybe very bothersome, but maybe I use my ego to spread light. I do feel like posting all these quotes, and I apologize to the ones it may bother. I read your posts just before it went down and see that we have received some interesting accounts of "dark nights." Most of you seem pretty optimistic despite your dark periods and this is good as several of you believe you have left behind the loneliness forever. I was hoping for such optimism because I know that there are a number of people on the list who need words of encouragement. Rob is probably not the only person who seeks for higher truth and reality, but is totally frustrated in the present. I'm glad that Rob just blurted out his feelings in stark honesty. This alone puts him several steps ahead of others who feel the dark night and yet pretend that it does not exist. I know from experience that the problems of life can sometimes be overwhelming, but I also know that when we stay focused on the good and keep moving forward, following the highest we know, we eventually see that there is ALWAYS a light at the end of the tunnel. When a light is turned on in the darkness the darkness is no more. Darkness cannot extinguish light, but light can cause darkness to immediately disappear. I sincerely hope your words of faith and light turn on a light in others who are struggling so they will be able to make it through the dark periods. The joy after a period of darkness and struggle is greater than the peace of one who only basks in the light. During my dark night I was encouraged by this scripture: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God..." Rom 8:28 It is true as some pointed out that darkness and light come in cycles. This is so until the light of the Spirit manifested through the soul is reached. When the light then becomes a fullness a person does not have to return to the dark unless he chooses to do so. Why would one make such a choice? Answer: For the purpose of reaching and teaching their brothers and sisters. As I said earlier there is a dark night that is particularly severe before a person finds his group. Now I'm not talking about a physical group such as this one, but a group of blended minds on the soul level that is contacted by the seeker. Such contact lifts all darkness, depression and loneliness that he is passing through. Now a physical group (or should we say semi physical) group such as the Keysters can be a big help for anyone having spiritual difficulty. Hopefully loving groups such as this will be able to lessen the effects of struggling disciples in the future. We are indeed fortunate to live in a time where the internet is available. In times past even a Master had difficulty in gathering together a group of this quality. I know there is no way I could do it by running ads in my local paper here. I am thankful to be living in such interesting times. As you go through your final dark night before contact you will be observed by inner teachers who await your arrival. These inner teachers along with other disciples of similar evolution to yourself form an invisible group mind that you become one with when you reach the light at the end of the tunnel. When this is reached and you advance to greater oneness then this realization of oneness turns on a light that immediately dispels the dark night. Before this happens the disciple will go through many periods of light and darkness over a period of numerous lives, but the final one will be different from the rest. The isolation and loneliness will be very profound. Now my friends, it is time to move on to the next level of learning. After much contemplation I have decided to present to you two great principles that I planned to first present in the Immortal Books. My original plan was to present these two principles first in the Immortal series and then amplify them further in two separate books of pure teachings. Because of limited time and the fact that I am behind on writing the Immortal books I will reverse the procedure and present these two principles first on the teaching level. We will briefly cover the first principle and then cover the second in detail. After that we will return to the first and cover it in much greater detail. The interesting thing about this first principle is that this teaching is covered in great detail in the Bible and is perhaps the prime teaching of that collection of books, but you will never hear a sermon on it in any church that I know of. This principle is a mystery that all readers of the Bible see but do not see. The scripture hinting at the first great principle is: Matt 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 24:31 "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." We have already covered the first part of this scripture in detail. If you do not remember, or have not read it, read posts 88-95 from Samu's postings of my past writings at: http://www.dlc.fi/~samu3/JJArchives.html In those postings we gave you the interpretation that the Sign of the Son of Man was the Atomic Bomb exploded in 1945. This means that the fulfillment of verse 31 will happen sometime between 1945 and the Second Coming of Christ. Let me repeat this important verse: 24:31 "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." Questions: Who are the angels? A concordance would come in handy here. What is the sound of a trumpet? Who will be gathered and where? What could the purpose of this gathering be? Post No. Keys-04-30-1999/4154 From: John Kosior Subject: Re: Dark Night of the Soul Rob writes: "Sometimes I wish someone would just flat out tell me exactly what I'm supposed to do--specific to my situation--to get through this." Hmmm. I'd like to say a few things here. I know that I cannot, and wouldn't want to GIVE you any advice that would answer your specific life. But I will say that I have found one thing in my life that holds true every time. And that is that those who are capable of the darkest nights, are also the same as those who are capable of the brightest dawn, who's moment might break forth on them at any moment. In my life, I have experienced the lowest lows in every level; mental, physical, and spiritual. And if I told you how many times I thought about throwing the whole thing away just to rid my self of the frustration, you might not believe it. But always there has been this little phrase that continues to this day to be my reason for carrying on through the night. They're just four words, but I apply them every time I feel the darkness closing in on me. When my own thoughts or another's condemn or accuse me, I respond by saying, "but, God is good". Let me tell you that there is no magic in the phrase itself, but linked up with my God-given, stubborn as a mule, hard assed, won't quit, screw this, brazen attitude, it has carried me through it all. Thus far, anyway. But I still keep watch. I know I can become vulnerable again. I can let my guard down and get swallowed alive by the darkness. But, God is good. And I will weather through it all. I won't quit pushing the limits of my understanding. If that means enduring, I'll endure. If it means fighting, I'll fight, with a fury unknown even to myself. I know that this is in me. How do I know? It's because there is no darkness that can swallow light. And the Light that is in me comes from the One. Since discovering this to be true (recently), I'll say this, when I encounter some "fearsome" entity, whether within or without, I find that as soon as they perceive the resolution inside me, they run away scared. This happens both in my spiritual thoughts AS WELL AS my dealings with people, who can sometimes demonstrate more darkness than I previously thought possible. To Rob and All, there is no better sense than the one that says, "OK, bring it on! You have nothing that can take me down". Because, God is good. For what this is worth to you, I will fight by your side, and together we will send the darkness into the abyss from where it came. This is from John, the lover AND the fighter! Hi John You're last question has come home to me as I have been wondering the same thing. I hope to help humanity (as I know others are too) and at the same time wonder if I am just vainly aggrandizing myself that I should be in what seems to me to be an exalted position. Love, Light, Peace and Harmony Marylin Post No. Keys-04-30-1999/4157 From: Samu Karlsson Subject: Re: The Dark Night Hey All :) Well, I think I saw the dawn of my big Dark Night about 3 years ago when I was 24. Every day up to that point I had pretty much felt that I was in the wrong place, I just couldn't relate to anybody... The loneliness JJ described was *very* real. It started when I was just little boy maybe 5, I looked at 'grown-ups' and their ways of thinking just made no sense to me... I remember how I boldly stated to my mom and dad that some of us 'kids of the new generation' will remind all what life is really all about :) Well, I can't say I'd have all the answers now that I'm a little older, but at least I think I ask a few more questions and question things than most people I meet.. And I try to remind others that life's supposed to be quite a bit more than just 'making a living'... It's about creating life within life! :) Anyway, during my early 20's I felt like nobody understood me, even my closest friends or my girlfriend at the time, I'd try to explain my feelings and thoughts but there was always the feeling that it wouldn't really get across, and they would just say 'I understand' to sympathize and try to make me feel better, and the feeling that they were faking just to please me made me plunge even deeper in the pits of my self-created hole... I remember thinking at one point, now I'm so low sitting at the bottom of this misery of mine, I really can not go any lower, the only direction from this place *has* to be up. Even in the middle of all that I still somehow knew inside that *I* would make it end just as much as I had created it thru my choices, very past and more recent, and when I'd look back on it, I'd really appreciate my experience and understand it was actually something that I really needed to go thru at the time, and like Xavier mentions if I ever started to slide back down, I would understand the nature of the experience and if not totally avoid it, at least go thru that little tornado-like cycle much quicker, in hours compared to what used to be weeks. The turning point was a night when I was just falling asleep and heard crystal clear in my head: "You know who you are. You are not alone. We are here to help you." Simple words, but the timing and the calming, uplifting, encouraging embracing feeling they were accompanied with made all the difference. It was like I'd been touched to the core of my soul. Everything opened up to me in a new way, it seemed that every thing around me started talking in their own unique language, there were messages to be heard everywhere, something I had completely managed to overlook before. It all seems to be about a change in focus and perspective within.... connected to soul contact :) Many of my old relationships ended, many new people entered my life... Reading and hearing answers to many questions I had asked appeared in front of me on my path, I became quite sensitive to 'real' reality, lucid dreams, intuitive and 'pure knowing' experiences... It changed me totally. It felt like I had reached a ground upon which I could now reach new heights. Does this mean that life is now a continuous state if bliss for me? Nopes, I still have ups and downs, but the challenges seem different, and most of all I've learned to deal with things better, simply because they're equations I've already solved before, they do change in appearance, but once you've plunged thru the darkest of tunnels, it seems to me that the key to finding the Light in the darkest of places can now be found again and again much easier, it's an innate pattern, a masterkey within :) I found a few quotes I thought I'd share, the first one can be seen in connection to the Dark Night :) Arlo Guthrie: "You can't have a light without a dark to stick it in." Steven Wright: "My theory of evolution is that Darwin was adopted." Arthur Koestler: "The more original a discovery, the more obvious it seems afterwards." Rita Rudner: "Neurotics build castles in the air, psychotics live in them. My mother cleans them."
