1999 - WEEK 9 Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-01/3274 From: xavier Subject: dream :) hi lovers friends i just had a beautiful great dream like i have to remember my twelve years old blessing dream to compare with. The key note was mission and speech. I was guided and served thru speech (no prob JJ I got your advice about true teaching allright). There was life adventure and life is a river, no toil, just row gently and let yourself carried, use the river flow, and do your part, that is more steering yourself to the right channel attitude, no forcing, lovers:) I first had personal relationship with an erotic woman, and other things, and the authority was there and represented the crowd and her reluctance to unaligned breakthroughs. I aligned and it came to a day when i was given speech in a show and light settled. Then I tried again to reach that peak after a while and I was unaligned, because trying, yet it had to be:) I was punished by the judges of crowd, changed in a flying beast, went up. Well the end is a supper with the friends souls of my dream adventure that i had me thru my life mission. They were all there looking at me smiling (i'm crying). I had a grand time with that dream thanks to you all:) Life is great thanks to you all (I don't mean it wouldn't be if you weren't here, don't mistake me I'm truly happy, had a great glimpse of happiness tonight) Funny is that it happens when in real life I give up forcing and wishing i could force myself to do what "I should". Yes I should take care of my daughter but just can't, the pain prevents me, and guilt is of no avail. I let myself stray? I let myself carry to what I feel like doing, and try to respect a middle way between my ego and my soul. I find this is an important key (BTW needed to be thirty years old to get it, why?) Matter is such a dense heavy dull vehicle that we can easily lose focus and aim and consciousness:) Yet when we illuminate it thru loving service it is such a glory, a grand being. I crave for that, I was made for that. I know the tools, I was prepared and did it in the past already.(anyway that's what i feel now) Thanks for listening, i won the nick (Xavier le Fougueux), and "fougueux" means "full of thunder", etymologically, fulgur in latin is thunderbolt, do you have the other name for thunderbolt, that name with "bolt" meaning and not "thunder"? Post No. keys-l: /1999-02-26/3275 From: Tracey Hobson Subject: Re: Wedding Vows Thanks Jennifer. I have felt that way for a while now, as I became a pretty serious spiritual seeker just after 1988. I am exactly where I'm supposed to be. (Although sometimes it sure feels odd, weird, uncomfortable...) Like right now. I mentioned the other day that there are many positive things to be said for what's happening in my life. But I just got into a rather nasty little spat with my boss (I know, not very smart). He focuses on only that which I do wrong, not on anything I do right (and you'll just have to take it on faith that I do much more right than wrong) and I can't take it anymore. It's beginning to feel abusive. People around here who are happy with me don't say much, but let me say one little thing that sounds the least bit like a complaint, and I swear, the masses are rushing to his door! I also don't think he is able to see that maybe going through four executive assistants in about three years says more about him and his mismanagement skills than it does about me. I need to re-read JJ's message on remaining focused on what's right with my life (as in "take my own advice") rather than dwell upon this little blip in the serenity screen... Have a great weekend, all. Tracey Post No. keys-l: /1999-02-26/3276 From: Tracey Hobson Subject: Thanks, Rick. So glad you're back. I really needed to hear what you had to say, regarding going the extra mile and making a habit of it. You know, I can and do go the extra mile in SOME areas of my life. I guess it is time to do it across the board. Sometimes reading this list is like having God speaking to me, through you. Have a great weekend, all! God willing, see you Monday. The answer is given in the IMMORTAL Book II chapter six. What is the eternal part of yourself that decides between the apple and the pear?" Hi everyone, Once again I've had computer problems but rather than focus on the negative I will content myself with being happy that I've got it back - although for how long is anyone's guess :-) So I'm doing my frantic best to catch up. The best news of late is seeing that Samu's back blessing us all as usual. You were greatly missed, Samu, especially by me as I had no one to admire my quotes :-) So JJ has set us a curly problem to solve yet again. Have you noticed that Chapter 6 talks about uncertainty a lot? In fact, the uncertainty of life is said to be 'fortunate' on page 196 because without it, 'there would be no life'........and it..... 'is what keeps life interesting for all lives' ........as 'it forces us to use our life expanding power of decision'. Without uncertainty, decision wouldn't be required. Without it, there would be no need to choose between the apple and pear because we would be All Knowing. Everyone would dwell in a state of perfection and we would be bored out of our brains to the extent that we would end out static existence because it lacked fun and life enhancing experience. So if it's OK for God to be uncertain about some things, I'm happy enough to follow the leader. As I am a reflection of the Prime Cause, I can do nothing else. On the other hand, this could be a lot of hot air in which case my new modem will no doubt let me know by slipping into a state of unconsciousness yet again :-) Bye for now. Today I have spent a couple of hours pondering the question and have come up with something I like better. Since the One made the first Decision to manifest then it must be that the One is Being. John said, "In order for the One to manifest, it had to become the many." As Jesus (Yay-soos) said, "The Father is in Me and I am in Him. If you are in Me, you are also in the Father." That makes me One of Many. It makes us all One of Many who are infinite, embodied with light, love and power. Now if I could just FEEL it in this limited consciousness. Or do I at times? "View all the problems in your life, all the situations that hurt you, as karma messages, as opportunities for transformation. Nothing happens w/o reason - therefore apply your sincere attention to the hurting events. The more it hurts - the bigger potential for transformation. Bigger tension means higher karmic "pressure." So the "principle that reveals karma", as I see it, is: "Most hurting situations in your life point to the karmic pressure ready to be released." "From this follows a rule: "Sincerely work on on the most hurting situations in your life." Open yourself to these situations, search for their meaning." Anni Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-02/3289 From: Samu Karlsson Subject: Re: WHO OR WHAT ARE YOU? It is a hello, and some new thoughts! :) In essence, I am God's decision. This means both that I am within His decision, and that my decisions, which are the result of me utilizing my Divine quality which came from being created in His image, are residing inside of Him. In the beginning, God decided to become manifest, become many, and by focusing attention on His field of consciousness God utilized Will (thanks Anni, my fellow Scandinavian Keyster:) to set the Original direction of events in motion. I was created from and during this process: I am a God-particle, a sensing conscious unit inside of His One Body. As much as God created me, I am part of the process thru which He is eternally evolving. God created the 12 cycles, which are like 12 paths thru different states and densities, like traveling by foot, by sea, flying etc., and eventually they all lead Home. What exactly happens during the journey is not precisely known, but me being a being who is part of One I carry His sense of what is Right, what is Good, what is Love, and my part in this process is to make the decisions which not only bring me closer to my Creator, but show the difference between what is real and is of higher Path, having profound more direct results and impacts, instead of spiritual detours, which may seem seducing at first, but are actually replicas of the real, illusions of what Is. Nevertheless, all paths are important to walk on, because experiencing something that is a little darker because it is farther away from the Source of Light, when our spiritual compasses are intact we know which way to go and we will also know one of the paths which is not It, and we can weed that one out, so to speak. Uncertainty is not a bad thing either, unless it leads to immobility or time-consuming lingering between 2 choices. Also, when will is applied and focused on a decision and a path is chosen, I feel it is important not to start doubting and feeling unsure, but what's there should be taken as it is, you can not really go back and reverse the previous decision, but you can make a better, a higher one the next time, now that you know better. 'Lesser' or wrong decisions are not something to be afraid of, because if looked upon in the right Light, they will lead is back to the higher Path. And actually 'wrong' is just the opposite of right :) Which means, once you know it, you also know the other side of the coin, and when you so decide, you can make a 180-degree turn towards the Leading Star :) In the end of this cycle of 7, I as we all bring my experiences Home with me, and when He makes the next Big decision, he has a lot more knowledge gathered and this wisdom can be utilized to create the direction for the next cycle of Becoming what will be decided to become. God's world is whole universe, and mine is much smaller, but by making sure I keep my environment healthy and water the flowers in my garden, I know am also doing the best I can to make the Big fruitful Garden blossom and create many more even more beautiful, colorful and masterful forms of Life. You could say, after God decided to manifest he decided to understand better what Being alive means, this led to the experience of becoming, and I am like a little independent yet interconnected probe finding my way Home utilizing my own God-given ability to discern and decide. In my own little way, if I behave like a good little son He created me to be, He will be able to learn thru my experiences and I can be a building block for a future body of His. Who I am is All I have decided to become, and since I make new decisions all the time, which are limitless, I have no boundaries, except those I decide to set for myself. Until I see it from a wider angle and make a new, higher decision. There is no end to the divine potential. My power is in my ability to decide my experience of reality, which is of God, and I am His reflection, part of Him, as He is of me. Hey Glenys, maybe nobody else expresses how much they like your quotes because they are still busy trying to see all the little wisdoms imbued in your letters? :) Thanks Glenys, it's good to be back :) Riding my rambling horse again, Sammy-man :) Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-02/3290 From: J J Dewey Subject: The Inner Power In the book I ventured many answers to this question and some of them were repeated in your posts, but finally the key word was revealed - DECISION. But this still was not the end of the quest, instead it was merely a major hint. We decide because of what we are and we BECOME because of what we are. And what is that? Diane mentioned the quote from the book and Dave seemed to grasp the essence. There is a power within you that makes the actual decisions. The Decision itself is not you but is an effect proceeding from you. What is the real you is the essence within you, the operating self existent power that makes decisions. This power of decision and decision are two different things. The real you is this power which is the same power which has belonged to the One God from the eternities. Through this essence all lives are one and that oneness becomes realized when we obtain full use of this power through the assumption of our real opportunity to make decisions. Manifesting the fullness of this power also enhances soul contact. One of the main disagreements between the Brotherhood of Light and the Dark Ones is concerning this power within us. The Dark Brothers believe that this power only belongs to the strong and the aggressive at the expense of the weak; whereas the good guys have sure knowledge that all lives are to have all opportunity possible to expand this power. Enhancing this power in others eventually enhances it within ourselves. In the end the battle is selfishness against unselfishness. Selfishness seems to work in the short run so it is a great temptation to many, but in the long run unselfishness is far and away the greater benefactor to all. Even though the full power of decision is available to us, if we had the consciousness to use it, we are swindled out of this power through ignorance or deception. All us, of to some degree, are deceived into thinking that we cannot use it in certain areas. So the question of the day is this: Name some areas where we should be using the power of decision, but most of us do not. Example: "My boss will not give me a raise so I guess there's no way I can get that new car..." How could the guy get a new car with or without his boss's help by using decision? Now think of some other examples. JJ Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-02/3291 From: Tracey Hobson Subject: Au revoir, just for a while... Diane Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-03/3297 From: Glenys Lowery Subject: Prayer and God I'm reading a wonderful book by the Irish mystic and and philosopher, John O'Donohue called 'Eternal Echoes'. He writes about prayer and God a lot and I thought I'd share this excerpt with you. If you like it and don't consider it too off topic, I'll post some more ovr the next couple of weeks. Love Glenys Prayer is Critical Vigilance Prayer is the liberation of God from our images of God. It is the purest contact with the wildness of the Divine Imagination. Real prayer has a vigilance that is constantly watching and deconstructing the human tendency towards idolatry. Despite our best sincerity, we still long to control and domesticate the Divine. Meister Eckhart says that the closer we come to God, the more it ceases to be God. He says God 'entwird', i.e. God un-beecomes. In other words, God I only our name for it. Elsewhere he writes: 'Therefore, I pray to God that he may make me free of "God", for my real being is above God if we take "God" to be the beginning of created things.' Idolatry is the worship of a dead God. It is ironic that every human needs some God on the inner altar of the heart. We cannot live without some deity, whether it is Jesus, the Trinity, Allah Mohamed or the Buddha. The deity could also he money, power, greed, addiction or status. The critical vigilance of real prayer endeavours to ensure that it is the flame of the living God that burns on the altar of our hearts. Such prayer longs for the real warmth of divine belonging. Real prayer helps you to live in the beauty of truth. It is a visitation from outside the frontier of your own limitation. The great Irish poet Sean O'Riordan says: 'Nil aon bhlas ag duine ar a bhlas fein', i.e. no-one can taste his own tasting. Though you are the closest and nearest person in the world to yourself, you cannot taste your own essence. When it comes to truly enfolding yourself you remain a stranger. Only in the embrace of prayer are you able to enfold yourself in truth, affection and tenderness. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= If there is no God, who pops up the next Kleenex? - Art Hoppe Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-02/3298 From: LeLona Hodges Subject: I'll miss you, Tracey But I'm glad I got to meet you last month, which will just make me miss you more in here, in this House of Keys. Watch out or else bits of you could end up in NZ ;-) Love Glenys From the WEEKLY WORLD NEWS, May 24, 1994 MOSCOW -- Doctors are blaming a rare electrical imbalance in the brain for the bizarre death of a chess player whose head literally exploded in the middle of a championship game! No one else was hurt in the fatal explosion but four players and three officials at the Moscow Candidate Masters' Chess Championships were sprayed with blood and brain matter when Nikolai Titov's head suddenly blew apart. Experts say he suffered from a condition called Hyper- Cerebral Electrosis or HCE. "He was deep in concentration with his eyes focused on the board," says Titov's opponent, Vladimir Dobrynin. "All of a sudden his hands flew to his temples and he screamed in pain. Everyone looked up from their games, startled by the noise. Then, as if someone had put a bomb in his cranium, his head popped like a firecracker." Incredibly, Titiov's is not the first case in which a person's head has spontaneously exploded. Five people are known to have died of HCE in the last 25 years. The most recent death occurred just three years ago in 1991, when European psychic Barbara Nicole's skull burst. Miss Nicole's story was reported by newspapers worldwide, including WWN. "HCE is an extremely rare physical imbalance," said Dr. Anatoly Martinenko, famed neurologist and expert on the human brain who did the autopsy on the brilliant chess expert. "It is a condition in which the circuits of the brain become overloaded by the body's own electricity. The explosions happen during periods of intense mental activity when lots of current is surging through the brain. Victims are highly intelligent people with great powers of concentration. Both Miss Nicole and Mr. Titov were intense people who tended to keep those cerebral circuits overloaded. In a way it could be said they were literally too smart for their own good." Although Dr. Martinenko says there are probably many undiagnosed cases, He hastens to add that very few people will die from HCE. "Most people who have it will never know. At this point, medical science still doesn't know much about HCE. And since fatalities are so rare it will probably be years before research money becomes available." In the meantime, the doctor urges people to take it easy and not think Too hard for long periods of time. "Take frequent relaxation breaks when you're doing things that take lots of mental focus," he recommends. Although HCE is very rare, it can kill. Dr. Martinenko says knowing you have the condition can greatly improve your odds of surviving it. A "yes" answer to any three of the following seven questions could mean that you have HCE: 1.Does your head sometimes ache when you think too hard? (Head pain can indicate overloaded brain circuits.) 2.Do you ever hear a faint ringing or humming sound in your ears? (It could be the sound of electricity in the skull cavity.) 3.Do you sometimes find yourself unable to get a thought out of your head? (This is a possible sign of too much electrical activity in the cerebral cortex.) 4.Do you spend more than five hours a day reading, balancing your checkbook, or other thoughtful activity? (A common symptom of HCE is a tendency to over-use the brain.) 5.When you get angry or frustrated do you feel pressure in your temples? (Friends of people who died of HCE say the victims often complained of head pressure in times of strong emotion.) 6.Do you ever overeat on ice cream, doughnuts and other sweets? (A craving for sugar is typical of people with too much electrical pressure in the cranium.) 7.Do you tend to analyze yourself too much? (HCE sufferers are often introspective, "over- thinking" their lives.) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= If there is no God, who pops up the next Kleenex? - Art Hoppe Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-03/3300 From: J J Dewey Subject: To Decide or Not to Decide Tracy - "don't be gone for long. You are needed here." I do plan on finishing Molecular politics soon. The next section will present some new solutions and I want to have the time to write it correctly. The Question of the day...Name some areas where we should be using the power of decision, but most of us do not." "Example: "My boss will not give me a raise so I guess there's no way I can get that new car..." "How could the guy get a new car with or without his boss's help by using decision?" Dave alone ventured an answer. I suspect that you either thought this was too easy or too difficult and therefore were hesitant. Dave seemed to think the question was easy. He wrote: "Simple.. Either find another, higher paying job, or find another way of bringing in extra income. Money is plentiful right now." Logical answer, but you left off the key word here which is again DECISION. Everyone knows that if they need more money they could get another job or do something part time on the side. But the funny thing is that a person can be totally desperate for money yet opportunity after opportunity is presented to him get ahead but he never seems to take it. We may look at the guy and call him lazy but the problem is more than just laziness. Many people in a situation like this - that is where they need a new car or some other item - often feel helpless and paralyzed even though the way to obtain the extra money is obvious to many. Why does he feel paralyzed? Because he has not developed the power of decision within himself to the degree that he can DECIDE to get the car and do what is necessary to get it. To the higher evolved among humanity the lack of power among our lesser brethren seems pathetic at times, but what we do not realize is that we have also limited our own power of decision and we seem pathetic to lives higher than human. There are many areas of life where intelligent individuals will not take the next move forward because they are oblivious to the fact that they can even make a decision about it. Let me give you one example. Let us suppose that Jones would like to live to be 100 but just sees this desire as a wish or whim. This person is deceived into thinking that what he decides has little to do with the fulfillment of such a wish. The fact is that he can live to be 100 if he makes a definite decision in that direction. Question: Do you think this last sentence is a true statement? Now we know that there are many things beyond the conscious decision of average people like the following mentioned by Dave: "What about the woman who wants to loose weight, but doesn't have the time to exercise?" But the people on this list are above average. Can you think of a decision that is beyond the consciousness of most intelligent people? I was taught that the masters that created the Ark of Covenant used what is called mental precipitation to create the gold used in it's construction. We, as yet, may not be as experienced as they, but we are already in possession of the same powers and can use our minds to draw already existing matter to ourselves. Joshua showed Peter that he too could walk on water, if only he would cease to doubt. Even the ability to fly through the air, like Superman, is within the realm of possibility. There are numerous reports of St. Francis flying and there was a well documented case, around the turn of the century, of a man in Buffalo, NY that could fly at will. It is only our own doubts that keep us from having anything our hearts desire. I learned this lesson years ago, so why am I not a rich man yet? Well, I have often been broke, but I have never been poor. I always managed to have what I needed. At some point I discovered I don't need to have money or power over others. Around the age of 18, I got it in my mind that the one thing I wanted, above all else, is to follow Christ's teachings and find the best way I could to be of service to others, in helping them to see this too. I did not receive the whole prize, all at once, but there have been ample rewards, on the way, to show me that I am on the right track. Sure, there have been lots of slings and arrows, but the Father has always protected me from there sting and, lately, they just seem to bounce right off me. I could write a book about all the wrongs hurled at me, by just one person, you've no doubt heard of lately, but I chose not to and go on doing what I set out to do. Now that person is suffering, by her own doing, a fate worse than death, while I come out smelling like a rose. And I don't hold any ill will for her. Instead, I forgive and pray she see the light, before it is too late. And I am thankful that I can serve as an example to others that it is better to forgive. And it's not that hard. At least I didn't have to be nailed to a tree to demonstrate the lesson. When I was a carpenter, I once got a nail shot into my leg. I'm in no hurry to get any more nails in me. If I don't drive a Rolls or walk on water or fly like Superman, it's not because I can't. I'd much rather be able to show that the Kingdom of God is available to all us little guys. If an old street freak like me can find it, than anybody can. You can have anything you want, if that's what you decide to have. Love, Rick Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-03/3303 From: Anni Ida West Subject: Re: To decide or Not to Decide Hi family I KNOW it is true that you can do anything if you decide to do it. Just as an illustration I would like to tell you what happened to me 2 years ago. I had not been feeling well for a period of time - I was always very tired and often had bad headaches and had to stay home from work. Living alone with 2 children I did not have a lot of money - on the contrary I often had to count my money carefully before buying anything not on my budget. At a big exhibition about alternative treatment I found this one guy who I just KNEW could help me - I felt that in my bones. I made a very firm and definite decision that I would see this guy whatever I had to do to be able to pay for it. I calculated that it would cost me about 150 USD a month with transportation, alternative medicine and the visit to this guy - money I surely did not have! The day before I went to see him for the first time I FOUND 70 USD on the street - it was just lying there right in front of me! A couple of weeks later I got a letter from a company that said they had been trying to find me for 10 years! 10 - 13 years earlier I had translated and rewritten an English schoolbook so it could be used in the Danish school system - and when schoolteachers copy something from a book the writer is supposed to get money for it. SO they had been trying to find me for 10 years because they had some money for me!!! WOW! I got 200 USD! About 5 - 6 month later - running out of money for alternative treatment again - I was suddenly called to the office of my boss. I work at a very big technical college as a teacher and student counselor and all the way to the boss I kept asking myself - trying to remember - what have I done? What kind of mistake did I make? When I met my boss she said that she was so sorry but our accountant had found that the school made a mistake when they hired me 6 years earlier. They put me in a wrong place on the wage scale. So now they owed me 5500 USD - before taxes - about half after! I was amazed and very, very grateful. I finished my treatment and got much, much better :-)) So my answer to JJ's question: "Let me give you one example. Let us suppose that Jones would like to live to be 100 but just sees this desire as a wish or whim. This person is deceived into thinking that what he decides has little to do with the fulfillment of such a wish. The fact is that he can live to be 100 if he makes a definite decision in that direction." "Question: Do you think this last sentence is a true statement?" is YES I am sure it is a true statement! I think the important word here is "definite". If you make a definite decision you will be able to do anything. Sorry if I have been talking so much about myself in this letter - I hope maybe somebody could use it. Light, love and power to all of you. "How could the guy get a new car with or without his boss's help by using decision?" "Now think of some other examples." Back in the early 60s (my dad was a devout Yoga student) my husband was between jobs and we had three very small children to care for. My husband (who was no longer able to get past the medical exam for jobs) told me one day that if we could get a pickup truck he could mow lawns and other yard work to make some money. We needed a truck in excellent running condition and we could only afford to pay $200.00, seemingly unreasonable even back then. I told my dad about it but he was unable to loan us the money at the time. Instead he gave us a suggestion that was worth more than money. He said: "Learn to use the universal laws. Understand that when you think about something often enough it will eventually manifest. Choose a place in your home that you pass often and each and every time you pass it, place the thought you choose on the spot then let go of it. When you pass again, once again place the same thought. When the pile of thoughts is of sufficient height, it will manifest. One caution, be very careful what you wish to manifest, think it through, and make sure that all pertinent information is planted with the thought." We found a spot we both passed many times a day and we planted thoughts of an excellent running pickup truck at a cost of $200. What it looked like didn't matter. We planted thoughts for a week and then we saw an ad in the newspaper. There was a pickup truck offered for sale, excellent condition, $200. It was an older truck. So, who cared about it's age. Needless to say, we made a mad dash to purchase it, both of us in awe at "how it had manifested". Because everything manifests by decision. The life we have now, and all that is surrounding our life, came to be by decision at some time or another. Whatever system we use to convince us that we decide what we have is fine, whether it's a "wish box" or a system Marilyn just described, it works because we believe it will work. Once we begin to see that our systems work we can test it out scientifically and see if it works every time. Still, we accept responsibility for our creations. Once we begin to see that we create, then we can begin to be of full service to those around us by creating for them and helping them create for themselves. Love, Rick" I agree with Rick's statement whole heartedly - I would like to add just one thing - our thoughts or decisions are creative, and if we concentrate on the want or desire to have something, that's exactly what we will get - the desire or the wanting. In order to get what we want - a new car, etc., we have to make it a positive thought, such as "I WILL get a new car" - and saying it out loud gives the thought wings sending it out into the universe, making it real. The faith or belief that we will get that new car is what makes it happen. And when praying for something that we want, the prayer should be one of thankfulness instead of a supplication, just the way the Song states - "I thank you, Father, for . . . . . providing me with a new car so that I may be of greater service to you and fulfill my obligations to those who depend upon me for food & shelter." At least that's my opinion and I know that it works for me. I am a widow living on a very fixed income - my Social Security check and a Widow's Benefits check - I am definitely not rich money wise, but any time I've ever had anything come up when I needed a little extra cash, I always get it - usually from a completely unexpected source, such as a refund check from something on which I had overpaid or something - I don't worry about not having a lot of money because I KNOW it will come to me in one way or another. Our Father knows our needs and has already provided for them - all we have to do is to be thankful for them. "Question: Do you think this last sentence is a true statement?" Yes, of course he *can* do it, but there are also other factors to be taken into consideration :) For example, is it in his soulplan to live this old, or would he be needed somewhere else before that age? Then again, could be that he needs the experience of living to see his 100th birthday (guess who is celebrating his 27th today, only 73 more to go!:D ) once he's decided to do so, to prove to himself that it is possible. Well, everything *is* possible, no doubt. In other words, unless there is doubt, nothing is impossible :) The statement you make becomes truth when you fully believe in it, and you start seeing your universe around you behaving according to your beliefs. Whatever you decide, becomes, is-coming your way, already :) "But the people on this list are above average. Can you think of a decision that is beyond the consciousness of most intelligent people?" My first thought was very similar to Gleny's answer about soul contact. I was thinking, most 'intelligent' people are so left-brain oriented that they tend to forget to use their emotional and intuitive side, but constantly seek to improve the mental side alone. Call it biased intellect that only sees itself, if you will :) It is almost like one form of selfishness. True evolvement requires balancing of both halves, mental and intuitive, and listening to that little (sometimes loud:) still voice within, one can take huge steps towards equilibrium. The decision that is often needed is really to *listen*, and to *trust* what is being received, because our soul is always guiding is in the brightest direction on our path. Many intelligent people also tend to forget about the simple things in life, many of which are very profound. Sometimes this manifests as highly educated people thinking that those on lower steps in the hierarchy of society somehow 'know less'. Many times it is the other way around. Even if intelligence can shut down the doors to wider perception when it becomes self-satisfied, it is very important, naturally, just as important as being intuitive or having a wide range of emotions. True intelligence encompasses the whole, and knows which side of our abilities is needed in different kind of situations. Should I bring up the analogue of painting a beautiful picture with a calculator again, LeLona? :D :D On the other hand, I don't really think being intelligent means that it would be easier to make decisions per se. Many times these folks can be even more stuck than the average, because they can be just as stuck in patterns of immobolity, insecurity etc. as anybody else. Also, many intelligent people think they already know it all, know everything that's needed, and are not very much in resonance with new ideas and concepts. Look at scientists and their view of the universe. Many of us *know* for a fact there's so much more, whether our scientists can currently observe these things or not. All in all, many intelligent people don't seem to be able to embrace the idea that there's is no end to the process of becoming in this universal being. There's no end to what a man can achieve... even immortality :) No limits combined with eternity can be a hard concept to swallow. Can you think of a decision that is beyond the consciousness of most intelligent people? Soul contact by Glenys was a good answer to this. The average person does not even consider the possibility of this and therefore makes no decisions in this direction. Samu made a good point that there are variables to consider. The Higher Self may have something else in mind or Karma may not allow him to live to be 100. This is true but on the other hand, there is just about always a way around these obstructions. Let us say, for instance, that the plan of your life by Higher Powers, has a plan for you to get incurable Cancer at the age of 50 so you can learn certain lessons. If you make a definite decision to live to be 100 you can then get an alternative plan from your soul as to how you may learn the lesson and override the original plan. Then there are times that your decision blends in with decisions of Higher Lives or a larger group. When this happens these influences must be taken into consideration if your decision is to be attained. One thing we should understand as we continue in this vein is a principle called in some writings a "ring-pass-not." I would guess that Xavier, Glenys and some others have heard of this before. Can you tell me what it means? Let us say that a born again Christian has made a definite decision to go to a certain mountain on January 1, 2000 and meet Jesus who he expects will swoop him up into heaven. Will this happen just because he has made a decision about it? Why not? Let us say that each member of the group decides that they will live to be 100 because they think this is a great idea, but then put the decision to the back of their minds and pay little attention to it. Is it likely then that they will live to be 100? If the answer is no then what is lacking here? Remember that DECISION-CONSCIOUSNESS-ATTENTION is a key of knowledge. In other words contemplation on this key can lead you to greater knowledge. JJ Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-04/3319 From: Diane Linen Subject: Re: To Decide or Not to Decide Happy Birthday Samu. I was quickly compensating for their not turning and realized they didn't see the street sign, so I sped up and passed them, honking and honking. They just honked back. So I waved, and pointed , then put my turn signals on at the stop light. They put their turn signal on. I thought, great, they're going to follow me. So on the turn right they sped up and got beside me. I saw her roll down her window and I rolled down mine and shouted out the window "FOLLOW ME TO CHRO................". Then I turned a block away and guided them back 4 blocks into the drive of the Lab. We all got out of the car and laughed and laughed. They couldn't figure out how I knew they were going to Chro...........! It was so hilarious! My understanding is that, at the human level, it is a level of attainment beyond which a person cannot go; a stage in a person's growth from which he or she is unable to pass onto a higher stage because of some inhibiting factor in his or her make up, usually a mental or spiritual delusion. However, it can be applied to all levels of creation from sub-atomic matter to the Planetary and Solar Logos and even the Creator itself. We all have our ring-pass-not. In most humans, it is the level of the mental body which extends well beyond the physical and enables them to operate at the lower mental levels. Soul contact would extend the ring-pass-not and allow activity on the higher mental levels. In a word they are (1) Manipulated polls (2) Political action groups (3) Lobbyists (4) Trading votes (5 Ignorance (6) Pressure from party leaders and (7) Prejudice. For many years these problems have seemed insurmountable to critics of the system. These problems with government just seem to be something that we have to put up with. Not only can you not fight city hall it seems that you cannot change it. Actually the only way to fight city hall (or Washington) IS to change it. Most people just throw their hands up in the air and believe that change is impossible but change is not only possible it is inevitable. Sometimes change comes quickly and sometimes slowly, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse, but it does always come and nothing can stand in its way. We are reaching a point of tension in the free governments of the world Almost without exception governments which are supposed to be the servants of the people are becoming larger, more distant and more encroaching on the lives of the decent hard working people. Spending always seems to go up which is always followed by taxes going up. As more and more people get hooked on government benefits, greed and laziness sets in and these citizens who think they deserve more than those not getting benefits begin to demand more and more for themselves. The drift toward more intrusive government in the lives of the common man can only go so far before change will come. The change will be one of two direction: (1) Governments will become all powerful thus preventing people from complaining about them or (2) the people themselves will institute change so power is given back to the them where it belongs. This treatise and others I will write is to insure that the good change comes rather than the evil. We must change our belief system from thinking that we are caught in whirlpool of political energy that is sucking us into situations of less and less control. Instead we must think of solutions that bring us greater control, freedom and expression. One of the first steps is to institute a system whereby the people will be insured greater representation. In the past when innovators have had new ideas they started a new political party around it. In the United States this has been quite futile. The two most popular third parties in the United States are the Libertarian and Perot's Reform party. There are many others of little influence that do not have a prayer of electing a national candidate. Let us briefly touch on these two. The Libertarians have as their major objective "liberty" as illustrated by their name. They basic believe that if we have two political choices we should pick the one that brings the greatest freedom. I personally believe this is the highest objective of any of the parties and freedom and liberty is certainly a principle that the average people heartily support. So why have they never succeeded in getting any significant numbers of candidates elected? Why do they usually get less than one percent of the vote in national elections? The answer is simple. People of today are attracted to the safety of the status quo and strong personalities more than ideas. This is why the good ideas of the Libertarians accomplishes very little. If they do start to catch on the major candidates will claim that they already have those bases covered so why vote for an unknown? Perot's Reform party started with the idea of getting the people more directly involved and if he had played his cards right and strongly pursued direct representation of the people this party could have been a major contender. But it turned out that this party was merely a vehicle to give exposure to Perot. When he did get people's input he basically acted like: "That's fine that you think so and so; now we'll do things my way." Consequently this party has had little success except for the surprise win of Jesse Ventura. I do not believe that Ventura won, however, because of the beliefs of his party but because of his strong presence and his own personal ideas which he clearly presented. Voters were looking for a breath of fresh air and they found it in this man. Even if we have the best ideas on God's green earth a third party is not the way to go. Without a ton of money or a strong national presence it would take years to even gain the momentum of the Libertarians or Perot's movement. Instead we will present here a solution which is unique in that it does not advocate the creation of any additional political party yet this organization will win elections with greater and greater regularity until all will join in with this system because it will bring true representation. Instead of organizing a new political party that will struggle on for decades we will create a committee that will work with existing parties. If we can influence candidates in the existing parties to truly represent the will of the people then the mission is accomplished. Here is how that will happen: First we will create an organization called "The Committee for Representation." The name is not written in stone, but it should have the word "represent" in there someplace because that will be its core purpose - to bring representation to the people. The purpose of this committee will be to commit the various politicians to directly represent the will of the voters. This effort will at first be a futile one with those already elected so concentration must be placed on those who are willing to run for office. Here is what the committee will do. It will approach a candidate with this proposition: "Our organization will help you get elected if you are willing to make an ironclad commitment to vote the will of the people you represent, but then, after you are in office, if you break your pledge you will suffer humiliation of dishonor and all of our support will be withdrawn and we will assure that you will not become reelected." The point of power for the people is before the election because it is at this time that the candidate will do almost anything to obtain the office. Still this pledge is not to be taken lightly because it does require a large sacrifice from the ego of the politician. It demands that he recognize that the voice of the majority of concerned citizens is more important that that of his own little will. Therefore, one with an inflated ego will not even work with the Committee because the big ego runs for office thinking he knows better the good for the people than the people themselves. In rare exceptions this may be true of sincere servants of humanity, but since we cannot depend on such people obtaining office we must look to the will of the people for safety. Now the politician may say, "Sure I'd be happy to vote the will of the people, but isn't that what a Congressman does anyway?" The answer is no. Most politicians only listen to the will of the people when it puts their reelection on the line. The Committee has a better plan and here is how it works: Any citizen who is willing to participate can apply to the Committee and become registered as a Co-Legislator. Then as a Co-Legislator you review various items coming up for vote and study them out and vote for them just as if you were a member of Congress yourself. The Committee then tabulates the vote and passes it along to the endorsed Congressperson. The elected Representative who is then sponsored by the committee is now committed to vote the will of the majority no matter what his personal feelings on the matter are. Can you see what this accomplishes? In one master stroke the seven obstacles to the will of the people are nullified. (1) Polls. It doesn't matter what the polls say - the representative must vote according to the real will of the informed people casting an actual vote. (2) Political action groups. It wouldn't matter how much money they give to his election because he is committed to vote the will of the people rather than the action committee. (3) Lobbyists. The Lobbyists could wine and dine the Representative all they want and would have little or no influence because the guy has to vote the will of the people. (4) Trading votes. The Representative cannot trade votes because it no longer belongs to him, but to the people. (5) Ignorance. Ignorance is eliminated because the Co-Legislators with enough interest to vote on a matter have usually checked into it and become informed on the subject. (6) Pressure from party leaders. The party leaders can pressure the Representative all they want but he is committed to the will of the people above the party so he must ignore them. (7) Prejudice. He has already committed himself to lay aside his prejudices. If he cannot commit to do this he will not be endorsed by the Committee. Now just wait a moment says the skeptic. This may sound good but it just will not work. There are too many flaws in human nature. When our guy gets to Washington and all this pressure is put upon him he will ignore the votes of the people who elected him and vote the way he sees fit. This will definitely be a problem to be dealt with but it is a problem that will be solved. We do not know all the solutions before all the problems arise, but we can present some of them. First, the Committee will not endorse a candidate who has a history of lying or not keeping his promises. All other candidates of good report from all parties are welcome to apply for endorsement. Then we get a definite signed commitment from our endorsed candidate to vote according to the expressed will of the people. If he breaks this pledge, even once, then the support of the Committee is withdrawn and the chances are that he will lose the next election. In addition to losing the next election he will be disgraced the moment that he breaks his pledge because the Committee will publicize the fact that the Representative violated his word. If you do not think that this concept has power just look what happened to George Bush in 1992. Shortly before the election he had one of the highest approval ratings in history - around 90%, but then his opponents hit him hard on his broken promise of "no new taxes." This resonated strongly with the American people and he lost the election. It may seem that honor and personal integrity is a thing of the past, but in reality it never is. Whenever we reach a period in history where we seem to be at a low point and an individual or group comes forward and demonstrates true honor anew, the value of it is registered in the consciousness of many people and a new cycle is begun. It is interesting that when the Founders of the United States signed the Declaration of Independence that one of the things they pledged and put at risk was their "sacred honor." How long has it been since honor has been thought of as a sacred thing? Too long. At this point in time honor is at such a low point that we expect to be betrayed by those whom we are supposed to trust. Then when we are betrayed we throw our hands in the air and say "same ol' same ol'." But the time is approaching when honor must be restored to its proper place as a "sacred" characteristic not to be compromised. The time is come that those who betray us are not accepted as just "being human," but for being a traitor to human dignity and achievement. The Committee for Representation will use every possible legal and ethical means to restore honor as a sacred principle in the consciousness of the nation and world and put as much pressure as needed on the Representative to keep his pledge. Question: So what if the guy does not keep his pledge. What can the Committee do? Answer: If the Representative is totally dishonorable there is little we can do. The Committee can publicly announce his betrayal and call for his resignation. If public opinion is roused enough some of the dishonorable ones will resign. If nothing else, the public disgrace will be enough to send a message to the other endorsed Representatives to not betray their word. Question: You say the voting is done by Co-Legislators. How are they selected? Answer: They select themselves. This position is open to all legal voters of all races color and creeds. All a person has to do is to prove he is a citizen and a potential voter in the district or State of the Representative or Senator with whom he is going to Co-Legislate. Question: How will the Co-Legislator cast his vote? Answer: After his identify is proven he will be given an e-mail address that is to be used exclusively for voting. Only one address will be given per voter and only one vote on an item can be cast per address. When he is properly set up to vote then he merely sends it through the Internet. Question: How will the Co-Legislator get information about upcoming bills and items to vote on? Answer: Fortunately in this technological age we have easy access to information through the Internet. The Committee with the help of the Representatives will gather all information on upcoming items that are coming up for vote and will post them on the Web. The voters can then download information on the items that interest him, study them and vote his viewpoint. In addition to the cut and dry wording of the various pieces of legislation the Committee will also post news articles, columns and comments made by people of prominence about the legislation. The Representative will also post his opinions about the matter and whether or not he thinks the vote should be yes or no. If he is doing his job properly his opinion will carry quite a bit of weight with the voters because he will often have insight that others may lack. Nevertheless, voters are free to accept or reject his suggestion. Question: Not everyone has a computer or is computer literate. How are these people supposed to vote? Answer: If they do not have a computer they can go to the public library and set up an e-mail account and also gain internet access. On the other hand, if they have a complete block about using computers and wouldn't know what to do if they had one they can then go to one of the offices of the Committee for Representation. There a volunteer will set them up with an e-mail account and do all the computer work for them. Hard copies of all legislation will be available for the non computer people and copies will be made and distributed on request. Thus even the most computer illiterate among us will have full access to all information and voting privileges. We might note here that the rising generation is close to becoming 100% computer literate. In another generation only the mentally retarded will not be using them and, on second thought, maybe even they will join in. Question: Many people are very incredulous of poll results and are down on the idea of voting by polls. Wouldn't this be a similar thing? Answer: Not at all. As we previous discussed polls can be manipulated and very deceptive but a direct vote from an informed people is a true representation of what they really desire. The Co-Legislator does not receive some phone call while he is in the middle of dinner asking his opinion on something he could care less about. Instead he selects items that are of interest to him and votes because he is informed and concerned. This produces a much more intelligently cast vote than any poll and brings true representation. Question: So what is the elected official supposed to do? Twiddle his thumbs? Answer: We admit that he will not be as occupied with lobbyists, action committees and fundraisers as much as other legislators, but he should be busier than ever concerning the people's business. This new generation of legislator will not be in the position for the power but for service to his country. The motto will be: "What can I do for my country?" As a true public servant he will be looked upon more as a manager and teacher by his voters rather than one who votes his own will. As a manager he gathers data and informs his voters. As a teacher he explains the issues at hand so his Co-Legislators can make the most intelligent of decisions. Question: What if the legislator has to vote yes on a bill that is totally contrary to either his conscience or good sense? Answer: There will be times that the legislator will disagree with the vote of his Co-Legislators, but he will be tested for his open mindedness before he is endorsed by the Committee. For instance, one of the hottest topics of the day is abortion. Feelings are very strong in both directions. If the Committee were in place today one of the questions to be asked a potential legislator would be something like this: "If an abortion bill came up for vote would you be willing to vote the will of the people above your own in the matter? If he cannot answer yes to this and other questions on controversial issues then the Committee could not endorse him. Those in support of this new system will come to realize that they may not get their way all the time, but that the votes cast will overall be in a safe and sane direction that brings more opportunity to the common people and less intrusion of government into our lives. I recently heard a commentator make a shrewd observation. He said that both the Democrats and Republicans support government intrusion into our lives. The Democrats want economical intrusion and the Republicans want moral intrusion. Through the Committee for Representation we can assume power to limit both forms of intrusion into the comfort zone of the average person, which is not now the case. Question: I have to admit that this idea sounds pretty good. It seems like it should be an easy sell. Answer: Nothing innovative, no matter how good it is, is easy to sell to the masses. In general people are skeptical of new things. The first thing they look for is the sinister motive behind the initiator. My answer to that problem is the question: what could be sinister about the will of the people being represented more completely? Nothing. On the other hand, there will be enemies of this idea and it will be interesting to see them crawl to the surface. Many current politicians who enjoy the full power of their office and delight in being catered to because of the full power of their vote will certainly be negative on the concept. Lobbyists who will loose much of their power will fight it tooth and nail. Party leaders will be aghast because they will no longer be able to command voting blocks as they have in the past. Some will be up be upset that they can no longer trade votes. In addition to this many fringe groups on the edge will be upset that their ideas will have little chance of getting public attention because the common sense of the Co-Legislators will override extreme ideas that are dangerous to the nation. On the other hand, a common sense fringe group has a good chance of going mainstream through the new system. If an idea is truly good it will sooner or later be embraced by the majority. Question: You seem talk about national politicians, but how about State and local governments and the Presidency itself? Answer: This process is most needed among national Representatives and Senators. It could also be used to a degree with a cooperating President. As it is instituted effectively on a national level then we can see more clearly about how it can be applied to lower level offices. Question: Is this concept Constitutional? Answer: Yes. It works within the framework of the established Constitution and national laws. That's the beauty of it. The Committee for Representation works within the framework of the establishment. It will be like a shot of strong medicine given to a sick body. Once this new system is securely in place party affiliation will fade into the background for it will not matter which party is elected, the key for government becomes unity not division. Anni Post No. keys-l: /1999-03-07/3340 From: J J Dewey Subject: The Attack of Seven Glenys posed an interesting question to me and the answer I thought would be beneficial to all members of the group so I thought I would make a general posting on it. Essentially what she asked was this. She said she has been saying the Song faithfully since she received it and at first things seemed to go better for her, but now lately, things have been difficult. Her computer broke down and she is going to have to go off the list for a while. She is having several physical problems and everything seems to off kilter lately. Now she is not the only one saying things like this. We all know about Rick's recent problems and until I suggested that we concentrate on positive posts we seemed to be going through a period where the majority where having unusual problems. I do not believe that the Dark Brothers are attacking you as individuals, but it is possible they have sent a charge of energy to the participating group as a whole. What seems like an attack is usually just a natural effect of moving energy. So Glenys (and I'm sure there are others) want to know - what is happening here? Isn't the Song supposed to prevent these things? First you will remember in the book that everything didn't go completely rosy after we started saying the Song. The main purpose of the first verse of the Song where it mentions protection from all destructive forces is to protect those who participate in the singing from destructive spiritual forces. This is more important by far than protection from physical things. Whenever a person decides to pursue a higher spiritual path and makes an effort to attain higher knowledge and tread the path of service things will usually seem better at first. But if he continues and creates a ripple in the stagnation of inertia there will be automatically created a negative force that will attempt to pull him back so the last state of the person is worse than the first. This is illustrated in a parable of Jesus: Matt 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Matt 12:44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Matt 12:45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last [state] of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. When you take a greater step on the spiritual path (like saying the Song or participating on this list) it seems as if you have cast off some negativity in your life (evil spirit), but then a short time later you seem to find yourself wrestling with forces greater than you have ever had before (seven times the negativity comes back to distract you). Saying the Song seemed to work well with neutralizing one unit of energy and just when you thought life was getting better an attack comes with the strength of seven. When this negative attack comes many people just throw their hands in the air and say "this is just not worth it! Things are harder when I try, so why make an effort?" These people will often just give up, then life gets easier for a while and their progression comes to an end for this life. One of the main purposes of the Song is to give you the inner strength to resist the sevenfold attack when it comes. Not only should you say the Song, but you must use your power of ATTENTION to keep your mind focused in the light. If you do you will weather the storm and if you sail your ship skillfully the negativity will soon subside and you will enter a plateau of peace greater than you have ever experienced. If you are taught by a false teacher that is taking you nowhere this type of negativity is not something you will have to worry about but if you are treading the path of true progress you must earn every step that you take. Those who say the path is effortless are entirely wrong. Standing still is effortless. True progress takes a tremendous struggle - there is no other way. Only through a great struggle can you obtain a fullness of joy. If you think of it you cannot imagine unspeakable joy without some type of struggle and accomplishment. Thus we must be prepared always for the one unit of negativity that we always have to deal with and then the seven units when we make a greater spiritual attempt. Saying the Song and keeping your attention on the Light and Peace within will easily neutralize the regular voltage of negativity, but when the storm of the seven comes the Song and your rightfully placed attention will give you power to overcome if you do not yield to the line of least resistance. As I said the most important protection from the Song is from the spiritual forces of the sevenfold energy. This protection must be realized by you before the protection can filter down to the physical level. When your heart is centered on Peace and your mind on Light and you cannot be moved from this place then you will receive essential physical protection. Notice that I say essential. There are certain physical problems you will have no matter how much you pray, meditate or say the Song. For instance: (1) Things you have to work out because of Karma. (2) If you are careless or ignore messages from within certain accidents may be unavoidable. (3) You may have ill health because you are not taking proper care of your body or have a lesson to learn. On the other hand, if you feel inwardly called to the service of light and follow the messages received through your soul you will receive the protection necessary so you will be able to carry out your mission. We'll try and get back to the Ring-Pass-Not next.
