1999 - WEEK 3 Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-18/2605 From: RDWALLAC Subject: The Illusion Revealed I have a book called "Astrology a Cosmic Science" and in it there is a chart of keywords for each sign that shows Pisces as I Believe and Aquarius as I Know. I'm still working on the lessons that might be connected with them, maybe this will add some more insight for someone else. Ron Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-18/2606 From: J J Dewey Subject: Key Words The Question: There is a key word for Pisces and one for Aquarius. Let us see if you can name them. What lessons have these two key words to teach us? Here are some of the answers we have received: The age of Pisces= water/cleansing/baptism/purification The age of Aquarius=air/spirit/freedom/flight/liberation The Piscean age was I time of preparation, before the time of freedom. Rick Another set of words: Pisces=Unconditional Love=Sacrifice Aquarius=Brotherhood=Humanity (The Lion and the Lamb) Belle 0 to 1100 was the Age of Pisces proper, meaning an age of faith and religion, of dissolution and breakdown of structures, of devotion and compassion, and of escape into the other world. Diane Now fish swim in water. Water is representative of spirit. So we have been "swimming through" our spiritual side, figuring things out, getting a lay of the land, so to speak. The water bearer, I think means the bringer of spirit. That we are being brought into a spiritual age where everyone is more aware that "as within, so without." Tracy Pisces as I Believe and Aquarius as I Know. Ron All of these answers are worthy of greater contemplation and are headed toward understanding, but there is a core word that represents each age. Hint: Someone I have just quoted has named the word for Pisces, but the key word for Aquarius has not yet surfaced, however, Belle's naming of brotherhood points the right direction. Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-18/2607 From: J J Dewey Subject: Tracy's Question Tracy Writes: "I hope you all don't think this is a silly question, but since Jesus passed all three tests, were there other Masters who incarnated but screwed up at temptation 1, 2 or 3? If so, was Jesus one of these people who had to leave, come back and try again?" Answer: None of the prophets of Israel passed these three tests in full before the time of Jesus. There are a handful of masters who have such as the Buddha. All of us must pass these tests on the level of maya, glamour and illusion before we obtain liberation. Perhaps the hardest one is to be willing to give up our dream for a greater cause. How many of us have met seekers who are so caught up in their "vision" or "dream" that they cannot even consider that there may be a greater path of service available than the one they are on? It is interesting to note that some of the problems in entering the Aquarian age is even greater than anticipated by the Brotherhood because quite a number of disciples in the flesh that were expected to accomplish an important piece of the puzzle have got sidetracked by illusion and have become temporarily worthless to God and man. They are spinning their wheels promoting their own illusions or caught up in glamour and maya and doing virtually nothing. Some have gotten discouraged and drifted off in the line of least resistance. Finally, there are others (some are on this list) who have been following the highest they know and have been progressing through the needed preparations and are becoming ready for service. Hello All Key-Folks, :) when I first read the question I was thinking that the difference is I vs. We, that we are moving from self-centered thinking into broader living that takes All in consideration. Humanity and humankind instead of man, a combination of intellect and emotion, a wise and warm bright lover, if you will :) 2 words that come into mind: Pisces - Purity, Aquarius - Unity. Purity of one's soul and heart, Unity of pure souls at heart. Or Pisces: seeking, finding and learning pieces of the puzzle and one's belief, Aquarius: incorporating and unifying this into golden Faith and Knowledge. When Jesus raised our level of awareness 2000 years ago, it was done by one man. The next step will be accomplished by a group of no less than 144 000, the critical mass consciousness. This will lead us to a new age of spirituality that is above dogmas and religions and will bring new understanding and equality based on unconditional Love for All. Balance and Harmony, Samu Ps. I was really happy to read a reply to Tracey's question, since I was wondering the same thing myself. Thanks JJ :) Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-18/2610 From: xavier Subject: Re : Key Words Yes I had this in mind since the beginning :) Aquarius refers to group consciousness. Yeah I'm sure I made a nice big fall on this one ::)) The kind of: following my heart more than the voice of the soul. "It is interesting to note that some of the problems in entering the Aquarian age is even greater than anticipated by the Brotherhood because quite a number of disciples in the flesh that were expected to accomplish an important piece of the puzzle have got sidetracked by illusion and have become temporarily worthless to God and man. They are spinning their wheels promoting their own illusions or caught up in glamour and maya and doing virtually nothing." It is interesting to see it presented from the point of view of the Brotherhood. I'm well aware that illusion is big in the new age community. Many prophecies of 4th and 5th dimension :) And little true work as you JJ seem to point at: overcoming illusion. In one paragraph you manage to blend the mission waited from aspirants, the illusion of common groups and spreaded knowledge, the topic of: where am I on the ladder and what do I have to do... well it's great food for me ::) "Some have gotten discouraged and drifted off in the line of least resistance." Yes that's me in full!!! I'm even getting all the more drifted off in the line of least resistance, while I am getting re-encouraged. Guess it's a pull and let go thing. I play the ego bluntly, and soon I'll have a big pull towards service :) I got so entangled in guilt in past years that true service was impossible. I need to acknowledge and accept and live out my egoistic needs. Maybe I'll get fed up with them, maybe not. We'll see :) "Finally, there are others (some are on this list) who have been following the highest they know and have been progressing through the needed preparations and are becoming ready for service." I haven't been following the highest I know since adolescence. But I like much more my life today than in past years or even past months. I'll see if I'm on the track to service later. What I know is that I follow the center of my personality, and that has not happened to me since childhood. I mean I was in my guilty mind and did not allow me to live in my belly. It may be a drifting-off, but I'm aware of it, and I take the risk. (You might say I don't do anything, just let circumstances drive me) All this is true :) If my voice only adds to the ego energies, just dismiss it. Only a handful of people have done this. In your book, you stated that Jesus had many lives before he became the Christ. Out of the billions of people on Earth that have lived only a few have passed the tests. How is it possible that they/we can progress to the point Jesus and Buddha reached to pass the tests? I know that I have not reached this point yet. The odds seem insurmountable to pass the tests to get to the point where Jesus was at his crucifixion. Is it possible to reach the point where Jesus was by small increments in each lifetime and that those increments add up to a life such as his was? Is this karma as in good karma and bad karma? If the bad karma adds up and one must do a penance to overcome this, then do we also have the good karma add up towards the ultimate goal? I don't seem to be able to put this properly into a cohesive thought so I am sorry if this doesn't make enough sense. Love Glenys Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-19/2632 From: J J Dewey Subject: Sacrifice Sacrifice As usual, all your answers showed thought and intelligence, but Garrett gets the gold star today as he got both key words and gave the most accurate answer. However, several of you got the key word for Pisces. Garrett says: "I'll go along with Belle also on Sacrifice as the word for Pisces. I think the word for Aquarius would be Service." JJ also asks: "What lessons have these two key words to teach us?" "Sacrifice: The individual's dreams, no matter how benevolent they appear to be, must be set aside in order to do the Will of God." "Service: The service of the individual's personality (selfishness) eventually changes to the service of humanity (selflessness)." When you think of it, the key word of sacrifice does apply to the more than any other to the age of Pisces. We have the sacrifice of Christ, the sacrifice of the early Christians as well as many other believers including millions sacrificed by Christians themselves after they came into power. Just read The Book of Martyrs and you'll discover that many in the church really believed they were doing God's work as they tortured and sacrificed people to get them to confess their version of Jesus. Then The American Indians wound up being sacrificed so civilization could be built upon the American continent. Relative liberty was established in many lands because of tremendous sacrifice by lovers of freedom. Then we had many wars culminating in the two world wars which was won by the Allies at great sacrifice. A book could be written on this but you get the general idea here. Now an interesting principle as taught in the writings of Alice A Bailey is this: "The good in one age becomes the evil in another." This is an important principle to understand the current illusions around sacrifice. This does not mean that sacrifice is now evil for the lessons learned because of the great sacrifices in the past will never be forgotten. What it means is that our point of focus must now shift to bring in the age of Aquarius and if it does not then the law of sacrificed will slip into illusion and be used with an evil distortion and prevent the true service of the New Age from being accomplished. Question: How is sacrifice being used by those who still identify with the Piscean energies in a negative way? Hint: There are examples among the born-againers as well as the New Agers. We will talk more about service later and I will also answer Diane's question. Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-19/2633 From: Samu Karlsson Subject: Re: Sacrifice JJ asks: "Question: How is sacrifice being used by those who still identify with the Piscean energies in a negative way?" I'll try to keep it short this time. No, that wasn't the answer. Heheee :) I think those who use sacrifice in a negative way keep serving oneself instead of all because even if they see what they're doing as serving the highest purpose they can perceive, it is impossible for a man with ego to have the wide perspective of things on all humanity as God does, His view of the Sky and Earth combined is not clouded like ours is :) It can be and is an extremely difficult thing to after having felt you've aimed and shot for the highest you know, you still might have to change the direction to be in grandest most efficient service of the One, but it is not only a question of what is done, but also how and when. I guess that becomes quite apparent if we think of the last days of Jesus and what have just learned. Sacrifice is great but if you endlessly give there's not necessarily gonna be much of you left to build a strong new humankind on, I think at this time it is more important to serve by strengthening the good there already is instead of trying to 'right the wrongs' thru sacrifice. Peace, Samu Ps. I used to play in a band I had named Pool of Pisces :) Our first gig was on a Friday the 13th, and yes we did run into an incredible amount of unexpected difficulties... One way I can think of how my born-again relatives sacrifice is that they always seem to give away their money and possessions to those who have need of them, even though they need 'em themselves. Then they wonder why they're never ahead with their money. But one way both the extreme Born-againers and extreme New Agers have in common is they sacrifice their minds to their emotions and lower desires. Like JJ said in an earlier post, you could have a physicist or engineer--who have to use their minds all the time--but get them on the subject of their religion/ spirituality and it's like their minds get thrown out the window. They'll go against what they use for 8+ hours per day to believe in some feel- good fairy tale. It's like their brains have cement running through them. Hint: There are examples among the born-againers as well as the New Agers." Oooooo, don't get me started, don't get me started! Oops, too late. :) Alright, born againers, at least the real wacko element, are sacrificing the lives of those people who have exercised the freedom to make a choice. I'm talking about innocent women, health care workers, abortion doctors and anyone unfortunate enough to be within range of their bomb blasts and gun shots. Apparently, unborn children's lives are FAR more important than existing lives. I know this is a HOT topic, and I do not mean to stir a hornet's nest here. God never took away my right to make a choice; why should I take it away from anyone else? By the way, for myself, I would never have an abortion. But I would never force anyone who felt they needed one into some unsanitary back alley. It would seem that these born againers have forgotten that the reason people came over here from England in the first place was to escape religious persecution. (I think those persecutors have reincarnated and are alive and well, nuts, here in the ol' Us of A). As for the New Agers, their form of sacrifice, at least as far as can see, comes in the form of "Sacrifice your hard earned dollars in order to BUY a piece of the truth." That's one of the reasons I love you, JJ - the truth is free, and should always be. Am I close? I think the word for Aquarius would be Service." Thank you, Belle and Garrett. "Service: The service of the individual's personality (selfishness) eventually changes to the service of humanity (selflessness)." Wow, this really throws open some doors of understanding for me. Here is a scripture that describes what happens when the principles of the present or passing age are infused into the vehicle of the new. Jesus speaking: Luke 5:37 37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. (NIV) Here we have a wonderfully insightful word picture. As it relates to our study, we are coming out of the age of sacrifice and into the age of service. But if we attempt to use the principles of the old age to guide our lives in the new, we will find that not only will the principles not function properly, but the end result will do great damage to our lives, and thus discredit the principles of the new. New wine spills (principles of service) and the wineskin (the vehicle which is our lives) is ruined. But does this mean that we are to abandon the principles of sacrifice for the sake of the principles of service? Well, Jesus was confronted with the same question when the age of law was being replaced by the age of grace. He answered: Matt 5:17-18 17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. (NIV) JJ again: " .....................................our point of focus must now shift to bring in the age of Aquarius and if it does not then the law of sacrifice will slip into illusion and be used with an evil distortion and prevent the true service of the New Age from being accomplished." "Question: How is sacrifice being used by those who still identify with the Piscean energies in a negative way?" "Hint: There are examples among the born-againers as well as the New Agers." Amongst the born again believers there is an amazing confusion as to the role of the believer. The job was set out for the church to preach the gospel (the good news) to every creature. And what was this good news? Simply that the final act of mortal sacrifice (Jesus on the cross) had been successfully accomplished. And that with this sacrifice of the Christ, the way to God was made open to everyone. That all the "sins" of the world had been atoned for. Nothing more and certainly nothing less. So how is it that this simple message has become distorted? People have simply added a few lines to the good news. Something like "All of your sins are forgiven,........IF you will do_________ (fill in the blank) Say a prayer, pay a tithe, attend church, or whatever. Now at the surface this doesn't appear too terrible. A small price to pay for eternal bliss. Hog wash!!!!! If anyone attempts to do ANYTHING to add to the sacrifice already made in order to attain heaven, what they have really done is to say, the atonement isn't complete until this other thing is done. This is a small distortion (which does appear to be benevolent) that can only result in confusion. And given enough time and distortion and you find you have a "church" which is really exclusionary. Not unlike the Jews in Jesus' time were. "We're saved, you're not". It's the reason I walked away from organized religion. When I considered that for me to adhere to the principles being taught, (only saved if you've said the sinner's prayer) I would have to get comfortable with the idea that some four fifths or so of the world's current population will be spending their eternity in some everlasting agony, while the rest of pious ones are strumming harps in some blissful nebula somewhere. The truth however is that the last sacrifice was already made. There will be no others. And we are called to "serve each other in love". Or as Jesus said, Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself. This is the service to which we've been called since the days of Christ. Now among the new agers, the distortion comes in a new way. No longer are we to self sacrifice for our "salvation", but now we must realize our "god hood". That we are at the center of all our experiences. That we must choose and create the reality we desire. And that all others must create their own reality. And of course these concepts are filled with all the verbal trappings of love and unity and equality, but in reality the end result is a "serve myself" position that sets the self above all others. "Hint: There are examples among the born-againers as well as the New Agers." I agree with everyone's ideas on this one. Thanks for giving me food for thought everyone. When you think about the religious traditions that many of us were born into, they were characterised by doctrine, theology and a blind obedience to authority. Adherents were expected to obey church leaders and questioning church precepts was strongly discouraged or only permitted within very strict boundaries. The burning issues were How Many Angels Can You Fit on a Pinhead, and later, How Many Butts can You Fit in a Pew. Religious devotion was based on emotional responses rather than well thought out intellectual analysis. People were expected to sacrifice their God-given right to think for themselves and map out their own destinies in favor of submitting to an outside authority who did their thinking for them. Nobody talked about the Intuitive Principle then and to many such a concept would have been a travesty. Many New Age groups are the same. Often they start out well enough because someone's received some kind of revelation but it's not too long before that person gains authority over others, institutionalizes and stultifies the revelation and urges followers give away (sacrifice) their power to them because they have been 'chosen'. Of course, it's not just religious and New Age movements which do this; almost all institutions do - it's just that the churches do it *so* well :-) I suppose anyone who tells us what to think and how to act, apart from the beastly connotations, is operating under the influence of Piscean energy. Also prevalent for Aquarius is the "All for one & one for all" mentality - the sharing of everything - sort of like commune living was back in the '60s & '70s, but without the drugs or artificial means of reaching the highest spirituality - that was definitely a Pisces trait! :o) AQUARIUS: INTUITION, humanitarian, community, brotherhood. Love to all, Betty Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-19/2644 From: J J Dewey Subject: Diane's Question Diane's Question: "JJ, I have some questions. Jesus and Buddha passed the three tests. I don't seem to be able to put this properly into a cohesive thought so I am sorry if this doesn't make enough sense." Actually, Jesus and Buddha could be in the same quandary as you because if they look at the lives above them and the next plateau that they have to reach, it would be more overwhelming than anything you or I could conceive of. No matter how far we go on the scale of evolution there is still an infinite eternity of becoming awaiting us. The important thing for all of us to accept and discover is where we are at the moment and then take our next step. If we all just do this one thing then we will have as much joy in our sphere as a Solar Logos has in his. On the note of "Becoming" I notice in the Gospel of the Nazirenes that instead of just using the term "I AM" as in regular Bibles that this earlier account has Jesus using the phrase "I AM BECOME." For instance: "I AM BECOME the true bread and the Living Vine...: Page 78. I am sure that the literal translation here would be I AM BECOMING as most of the verbs in those ancient languages were written in present tense. The difficult thing is the overcoming of glamour and illusion so we can see our point on the path correctly, so one does not think he is a Buddha when he is just a beginning seeker. Then there are a few who underestimate themselves also because of illusion and often wind up subjecting themselves to one of lower evolution than themselves. In the churches, for instance, many within the congregation are more evolved than the minister. All of us will eventually become Masters. The process takes many lifetimes, but remember this. If you are taking a long trip such as hitchhiking across the country you do not put your attention on where you will be in 30 days, but on the scenery that is passing you by right now. Then too maybe you can smell a few flowers along the way. LeLona" "I suppose anyone who tells us what to think and how to act, apart from the beastly connotations, is operating under the influence of Piscean energy. Glenys" The basic misuse of sacrifice in this age is as follows: The ministers, teachers and gurus are constantly demanding money time and energy from their followers and only giving illusion in return. True sacrifice occurs when you give up something on one level to obtain a greater good on another level. Through corrupt sacrifice, you give up something of value to a representative of the beast and only receive false images in return. Jesus demanded sacrifice, even unto death, but He offered the reward of real soul contact and the lifting of much negative karma for the disciples. The authorities of the beast today want everything from us and give us nothing real in return. Sacrificing everything for nothing is a sin against all that is holy if there ever was one. The governments of the world do a similar thing. They want more and more taxes and give them away to many illusionary projects and we often receive nothing back in return. In ancient Israel the whole government was financed on a voluntary ten percent tithe and the money was used for the benefit of all. Wouldn't it be nice if a voluntary tithe were our only tax today? There is no reason why this cannot be so. Another false sacrifice demanded by many New Agers is technology. Many of them want us to give up all the benefits of technology and go back to living virtually on the level of the savage. This idea is totally contrary to everything Aquarian and the only way it could succeed is through the destruction of billions of lives on earth. Instead the Aquarian age which is ruled by air, or mind, will bring man in harmony with the environment through technology. Contrary to much New Age thinking man is put here to improve the earth (after a number of blunders) not to bask in a native wilderness. In other words, we do not have to sacrifice the comforts of modern society to bring a New Age of peace and rest for the planet. Our next objective here is to see a vision of the transformation of Pisces into Aquarius so let us go a step farther. There is one main key word for Pisces which is sacrifice and one for Aquarius which is service. In addition to these there is a Trinity of key words for each age, one major and two minor. What are they? Another question: How is service to become manifest in the Aquarian age and why are those who are still concentrating on sacrifice resisting it? What are they?" Hi Folks, I've never really been very good at word games, but since this seems to be the only game in town, I'll try to play along. Sacrifice Service Major: Fear Love minor: Control Cooperation Violence Peace "Another question: How is service to become manifest in the Aquarian age and why are those who are still concentrating on sacrifice resisting it?" I'm thinking here that those who are entering into the age of service most successfully are doing so on an individual basis. By this I mean that those who are seeking to help foster the Aquarian age have a real sense of what that age looks like and are adjusting their own energies to flow with Holy Spirit. This is being done by individuals. And so, I see this manifestation coming from a growing grass roots movement. Led by Holy Spirit, and carried out by those seeking oneness with God and unity with their fellow servants. As for those who are resisting the change from sacrifice to service, I believe that this resistance is based in fear, with it's many components. For instance, from the earliest days of Christianity, the Jews of the old order resisted the church because they feared losing power and control over the people. They had become very accustomed to their lofty position of intermediary between God and man. They alone were the voice of God to His people. When the apostles started preaching the end of animal sacrifice, they were persecuted even unto death for their blasphemy. This is of course only the response of religion. In government, it was the teaching about their being only one God, and it wasn't Caesar! And so here again we have the fear of loss of power and control for which the government of Rome is so well known. In our current day, not much seems different. Religion has grown into a giant operation, much of which has little connection to truth. But as with any large operation, they fear losing the support of their congregation. I mean if each of us began to live our lives in service to all, why in the world would we find ourselves in a church, giving tithes and offerings to an organization to do our service for us? As for government, this entity is trying to be our mom and our dad. They have taken upon themselves the role of protector of the weak, supplier of the poor, executor of laws, maintainers of peace (or violence), arbiter of grievances. Basically, judge, jury and executioner. This is some big earthly power here. Not unlike the Roman government of old. But once again, can you imagine if we all lived our lives from the point of selfless service? How many of the ills of society would we be able to heal? Not just pain relief, but real healing? All entities of earthly power MUST resist this change if they are to remain an entity of power. For if you and I, empowered by God through Holy Spirit and Soul contact, were to live for service, why in the world would we give our resources to any organization of power to do what we are already doing in our personal lives? God is king. We are His subjects, His children, and His government here on earth. If we were to walk in this light, all of the entities of beastly authority would be so disempowered, they would topple and dissolve into the nothingness from which they had come. Hopefully I'm not too far off track here. What do the rest of you folks think? I really look forward to reading all of your impressions on JJ's question. What are they?" Pisces = Sacrifice + Surrender (to outside authority) + Self Aquarius = Service + Unity + Selflessness (or an "Us" mentality) "Another question: How is service to become manifest in the Aquarian age and why are those who are still concentrating on sacrifice resisting it?" Those who concentrate on sacrifice are disempowered (by their own choice) and are still looking to outside authority to "handle" things for them. One problem that comes to mind is the issue of homelessness. Thanks to Ronald Reagan and his really "terrific" leadership, there are thousands of people who used to be housed in mental institutions that are now forced to fend for themselves. Many of them are homeless. It is such a huge problem in San Francisco, you'd have to see it to believe it. It is difficult and heartbreaking for me to even visit there anymore. Aquarian minded folks spend their time being of service in soup kitchens and homeless shelters. There is a huge need for more people with these volunteers sense of selflessness and service and community. I suspect the need will only continue to grow. A word on service: Many of you have seen me write that I am a member of AA. I secretary a big meeting on Tuesday nights, which means I lead the meeting and bring in the speakers. When I took on the commitment, I was braced for a bit of "politics." What I have experienced is love, approval and joy in buckets! People keep telling me what a great job I am doing, and one woman with 15 years of sobriety told me that she has never seen a secretary work so hard to bring in such good speakers (trust me when I say that has to do with my pride and ego - I have to at least TRY to be the best - but her comments made me feel like a million, nonetheless). So in this case anyway, service isn't about blood, sweat and tears - it is about joy! And with an experience like this, how likely do you think I'll be to take on the next service position AA asks me to? VERY! Extremely! No question! (Now, if only my boss could catch a clue!) :) So perhaps service will become manifest in the Aquarian age by people having this internal realization, one person at a time, that you get back at least ten times what you give. We have a saying in AA: "You can only keep what you have (meaning your sobriety) by giving it away." This principle translates well into many other areas of life, at least I think so. I'll try to be more succinct next time! ;) Tracey Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-20/2650 From: David Curtis Subject: Re: Needless Sacrifice J J Dewey writes: "Our next objective here is to see a vision of the transformation of Pisces into Aquarius so let us go a step farther. What are they?" Well, I'm going to jump back in with both feet here. Pisces - Leadership, Selflessness (is that a word?), Kindness Aquarius - Companionship, Intuition, Advancement Just guessing right now. =) "Another question: How is service to become manifest in the Aquarian age and why are those who are still concentrating on sacrifice resisting it?" Are they resisting it, or misunderstanding it? Some may think that sacrifice IS, in effect, service. You give of yourself in order to be of service to someone else. It could be easy to confuse those two. I think people will soon learn that giving 10% of their last paycheck to a church or other institution does no good. They'll realize (or be taught) that in order to really survive, they'll have to work together. My fear is, that it will take a major global threat in order to bring people together in that fashion. Why people are resisting the Aquarian age is a mystery to me. Maybe they have a fear of change and the unknown. They want things to be the same, comfortable way they've always been. Maybe, others are benefiting greatly from the whole sacrifice idea. Many people would instantly sacrifice their lives for the Pope or the President. That's a really good situation, IF you're the Pope or the President. Maybe people just don't want to accept responsibility for their own actions. Moving from sacrifice, where you depend on someone else to think for you, to service, where you have to do all of your own thinking, means you can't blame all of your short-coming on someone else. There are plenty of reasons...just depends on the person and their situation. Must be time to get out the Spiritual Thesaurus :-) "Another question: How is service to become manifest in the Aquarian age and why are those who are still concentrating on sacrifice resisting it?" If those operating under the influence of the energies of the Age of Pisces use separation and control to facilitate the sacrificial spirit, people energized by the Aquarian spirit will promote the opposite qualities. Instead they will foster the equality, unity and brotherhood of all and work best in environments that are inclusive of all types of people and belief systems. This will lead to co- operative efforts and the elimination of personal ambition and power trips. As Christ will be physically present on earth, He will use the Aquarian energies to facilitate the coming together of groups to bring about the Kingdom, just as He did 2000 years ago when he worked with the apostles and disciples. People on the spiritual path will no longer walk their path alone; instead they will find fellowship and harmony together as they manifest their spirituality in all embracing service. I think too, that it will be the end of the separation of the secular and spiritual as people recognize more and more that everything is spiritual. This attitude will pervade all physical life. People influenced by Aquarian energies will be intelligent in their approach to life and their spiritual walk and largely avoid the lower emotional responses characteristic of the Age of Pisces. Piscean energy types will find this approach difficult because they have to let go of their separatist, controlling ways and realize that everyone is equal and has a right to make their own decisions. What are they? Apparently I wasn't too clear on this question for the major key word for Pisces is Sacrifice and Aquarius is Service. Thus we are looking for the two minor words for each age and not three new ones. Here are some of your guesses: Pisces - Fear, control, violence, surrender, self, captivity, detachment, death, separateness, leadership, selflessness and kindness. Aquarius: Love, cooperation, peace, selfless activity, service, unity, Companionship, Intuition, Advancement, organization, intent and awareness. It is interesting that most of the words and descriptions of Pisces are negative, but keep this in mind. The lessons we learn in each age and the keynotes struck are overall a positive thing. We have talked some about sacrifice and mentioned that it has a positive and negative side. On the positive we give up one thing that is dear to us to receive something else of even higher value. On the negative side we sacrifice our free will to an authority who takes control of our finances and our lives and get nothing but illusion in return. Those who make right use of sacrifice will make an easy transition into the service of the New Age, but those who are caught up in the glories of the past and sacrifice the possibilities of current joy to the authorities of the past will only enter the new age kicking and screaming. So we are looking for the two minor key words for Pisces. A hint for the first was given by Dave when he said kindness. A hint for the second key word is revealed when you think back to our discussions about the solar plexus and the number 666. The word we are looking for is not authority which is a companion word to sacrifice. The closest guess for a minor key word for Aquarius was organization. This word is very close, but it does not make a distinguishing difference between the energies of the two ages as there was quite a bit of organization created throughout the age of Pisces. The organizations in Aquarius will be different and this difference is beginning to be demonstrated. Hint: What type of organizations are doing more to change the world and take us into the new age than any other thing? No one came close to the second key word. Hint: What one thing guarantees liberty and justice more than any other and is being fought out in the Clinton scandal? "Now we'll end by repeating yesterday's question which we will see in a different light when the key words are discovered." "How is service to become manifest in the Aquarian age and why are those who are still concentrating on sacrifice resisting it?" Through a REAL democracy? The reason I say this is that one of the traditions of AA is that "our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern." (Some people say jokingly "our leaders are but twisted servants...") This has worked REALLY well, since 1935 when AA was founded. It makes for some heated debate and discussion at times, but whenever you get a room full of people together who feel passionately about something, it can often end up being an exercise, as a friend of mine recently said, in "pole vaulting mouse turds." Just before I started typing, my mind was saying "duh, I dunno" to JJ's question. Then the above came to me, which makes me trust it that much more. So, to get to a real democracy once again, that would mean the collapse of the current faux democracy (I say "faux" because our government has gotten too, too large and completely out of hand - out of the hands of the people). For the first minor key, I go along with what Glenys and Dave (welcome back!:) said, it's gotta be either Devotion or Compassion, or something *very* close. For the second, hmmmm... Idealism is a good suggestion indeed... The word Ritualism also came to mind. "The closest guess for a minor key word for Aquarius was organization. This word is very close, but it does not make a distinguishing difference between the energies of the two ages as there was quite a bit of organization created throughout the age of Pisces. The organizations in Aquarius will be different and this difference is beginning to be demonstrated." "Hint: What type of organizations are doing more to change the world and take us into the new age than any other thing?" First word I thought of was Structure (as opposed to unequal hierarchy in the age of Pisces). "No one came close to the second key word. Hint: What one thing guarantees liberty and justice more than any other and is being fought out in the Clinton scandal?" I agree that honesty is a good one, but I was also thinking about Responsibility, especially to self, where it all begins :) "How is service to become manifest in the Aquarian age and why are those who are still concentrating on sacrifice resisting it?" Thru a structure based on an organization of equal individuals that make a strong unselfish whole, creating a serving humankind that is responsible for itself and builds upon God's Will and sincere honesty to be a selfless servant for common good that reaches All. Instead of sacrificing before God for all the big ideas in order to become closer to our Creator, we use and focus on the good we already have (because we already are children of God and couldn't get any closer, because we are within Him and She is within us:) in each of us to create a being with no less than 144 000 cells that functions as the One mind and heart, going in the same direction and in step with the One before us. Hi Garrett, All, :) like JJ said, each one of these qualities or describing words have 2 sides that could be considered positive and negative, depending on time in history and how the words are being utilized. When I mentioned Ritualism as a minor word for Piscean age, I was thinking of it as something that people thought they had to do in order to become closer to God, or like the saurus I sometimes use says: "exaggerated emphasis on the importance of rites or ritualistic forms in worship". Sort of like saying: "when I do these certain things I am worshiping God and a good person", but the rest of the time I don't necessarily pay as much attention to what I do (this may be a stereotypic picture, but many people still think that just by attending certain ceremonies everything's fine and they can be as rude as they want in everyday life with other people, for example) but when I sacrifice a certain amount of my time to rituals, it is taken care of, whereas in Aquarian age your existence becomes your constant living ritual of being a reflection of our Creator on earth. Your life becomes the ceremony of the incredible beauty and wisdom we are, and instead of going to churches to worship Goddess, we are equally living who we are, reflecting the inside outside of ourselves, manifesting oneness thru aligning ourselves into one big spiritual family. Being servant, you are your shrine, the world is our altar, and our God is One. Blessings to my friends, Samuel Pleiadicus :D Post No. keys-l: /1999-01-22/2671 From: J J Dewey Subject: Service and Sacrifice You may all pat yourself on the back as I can see that you have been wracking your brains. Even though you have not all come up with key words many have come up with descriptive words of the ages that are quite fitting. Let us start with Pisces. The major key word here is Sacrifice. Glenys and Samu got one of the minor words which is idealism. Devotion is not the second minor for Pisces but is a companion word to idealism. Through illusion and glamour the beast turns idealism and devotion into a negative thing, but after the appearance of the great Avatar, the Christ, the idealism and sacrifice of the early saints created a point in history that will forever inspire. It was only after the Beast corrupted idealism and sacrifice by taking the place of God that these two energies were used in a negative way. Even so, throughout the Piscean age there have always been a few who have demonstrated the true qualities of these words. The second minor key word has not been discovered. The closest guess is still kindness. Hint: What did Jesus demonstrate for us with His ideal life and sacrifice? Now let us look at the Key words of Aquarius. As we said the major key word is service. When some of you have written about this word it almost sounds as if you are talking about sacrifice instead. Service as it applied to the age of Pisces was usually accompanied by sacrifice and this was always emphasized when teaching of spiritual values, but service in the age of Aquarius will have a different emphasis. Since disciples were supposed to have absorbed the lessons of sacrifice during the past 2000+ years the emphasis will also shift. The emphasis on service will revolve around cause and effect or karma. Instant or more immediate karma becomes the ideal. In the Piscean age disciples were taught that when they performed a sacrificial service that they would receive a reward of some kind, but to many the payback seemed far away or nebulous and they had to have faith that they would receive a better world in "heaven" or perhaps a future incarnation. The eternal law is this. You cannot give or receive without eventually giving or receiving in return. Even if you do a small service like helping someone change a tire you receive a small credit and the time will come that some stranger will perform a small service for you. Now some of you may have noticed that during the past 100 years and specially the past twenty the law of cause and effect seems to be accelerating. That is people seem to get what is coming to them at a faster rate of return than was earlier the case. This is because of the power of incoming Aquarian energies. Thus the new emphasis on service is not in the sacrifice direction where we do good deeds and get paid back in some far away future, but on the idea is that we serve and in just a short time we receive a recompense for our service. Have you noticed that it is becoming common place that those who serve others with sacrifice are often taken advantage of to the extent that some almost loose their faith in God? Just the other day I read about a guy who picked up a hitchhiker and the guy stabbed him about thirty times. People sacrifice and give to churches and most of the money goes to salaries rather than spiritual work. Others give to a charity only to discover that 99% goes to useless administrators. Others help the down and out over and over only to have these people become a leech on their lives with no intention of becoming self reliant. My point is that the people who were the ideal in the age of Pisces are getting ripped of in Aquarius because they are not adapting to the new energies and these people are on both sides of the aisle, conservative and liberal. The two minor words for Aquarius solidify the law of cause and effect in relationship to service. Tracy was very close on one of them when she said democracy. This is such an important aspect of Aquarius that it deserves to be one of the three words, but the essence of it is included in one of the key words. Even though we technically have a republic in the United States this and other nations will evolve toward a more pure democracy where more and more power will be given (or taken) by the people. Hint: What is created in a democracy that insures freedom and justice for all? The second key word is not what you expect and some will disagree with it until it is explained why this second word is strongly related to Aquarius. Hint: We would not even be talking here on the internet if it was not for the changes created by this word. You also would not have your computer without it. All credit goes to Glenys, she came up with Idealism first :) She put the word in my mouth, my brain wasn't that far yet, but the word felt so right I agreed and echoed it back out :) "The second minor key word has not been discovered. The closest guess is still kindness." "Hint: What did Jesus demonstrate for us with His ideal life and sacrifice?" Goodwill to man. What seems like Kindness on the surface may, unfortunately, still include ulterior motives, but if you look at the word Goodwill you can see that when you live from that word, All will benefit :) "Now some of you may have noticed that during the past 100 years and specially the past twenty the law of cause and effect seems to be accelerating. I've only been around a little less than 27 years in this lifetime, but I have already noticed this, especially in the last couple of years. If I do a favor to someone, it may sometimes take only a couple of days before someone offers help to something I'm about to do, sometimes without me asking first :) Now that my income is more stable than it was years ago, I sometimes surprise my friends with buying them lil something. I was amazed that I started receiving things to myself, and many times from people I barely knew but just ran into! :D Off course, this is rather small scale, but still, karma seems to be much more instant than before (also if I've managed to, intentionally or not, upset someone, that always comes back so fasts you really wanna be careful with those words:). Smiles are probably the fastest form of cause and effect at work. You smile and people smile right back at ya. Beautiful :) "Thus the new emphasis on service is not in the sacrifice direction where we do good deeds and get paid back in some far away future, but on the idea is that we serve and in just a short time we receive a recompense for our service." Sort of like no matter how far people are, over the internet you can still touch them deeper than in 3d in most cases, and the replies come a lot faster, everything is sped up and intensified. "Have you noticed that it is becoming common place that those who serve others with sacrifice are often taken advantage of to the extent that some almost loose their faith in God?" I know many cases like this. Many times people give so much of themselves, and still they end up hurt and empty, and they either go down to the bottom or become incredibly strong, if they manage to keep their Faith. JJ or anybody, if a person gives (talking about all levels here, emotionally etc.) and still end up in situations where s/he is being hurt repeatedly and is not getting the same in return, is there a problem with receiving or is the giving placed wrong? Of course this depends on the person, but there any one common thing that is reoccurring among people that keeps them stuck in the cycle? Even if things are done in goodwill, can the lesson sometimes be just to get out of the situation if there's no natural cycle, in order to keep it from repeating itself? "Even though we technically have a republic in the United States this and other nations will evolve toward a more pure democracy where more and more power will be given (or taken) by the people. Hint: What is created in a democracy that insures freedom and justice for all?" I can't remember if this is already mentioned, but Equal rights is supposed to be one thing coming out of democracy, isn't it? The law and cause and effects works the same, it does not discriminate, but everybody gets according to what's been done, be it giving or taking. Everybody's equal in the looong run of eternity, no matter what things look like to the outer eye today :) "The second key word is not what you expect and some will disagree with it until it is explained why this second word is strongly related to Aquarius." "Hint: We would not even be talking here on the internet if it was not for the changes created by this word. You also would not have your computer without it." I'm thinking of Wealth. Would make sense, because if you're abundant inside, that would be reflected around you. Wealth is not a negative word in itself, but like with everything and every form of every, it is the intention that gives the direction and an outcome. And if you block wealth or energy to yourself, not a good thing, I am sure you agree, :) but when it is directed back out, it amplifies and we all gain :) Have a great weekend everybody and each soul! "Hint: There are examples among the born-againers as well as the New Agers." "We will talk more about service later and I will also answer Diane's question." They (we) sacrifice our selves, meaning our good parts of: conscience, compassion, awareness of reality lived by others, the general view; for the sake of fighting for an ideal. To the point of hurting others and doing much "evil". True love must see all parts, not only our personnal point of view. We must see the world from the point of view of human kind, whatever that be: no enemies, no "bad" spots, etc.. Tracey wrote: "Alright, born againers, at least the real wacko element, are sacrificing the lives of those people who have exercised the freedom to make a choice. (.....)" Okay, they may be nuts, nazis and the like, but for me I think they are useful. What I see in France is that the republican law encourages abortion. I mean that women don't receive advice nor support when they are pregnant and at a loss for an attitude. Don't mistake me, I don't talk for women that know what they want. I mean that a society cannot rely on law and health care alone. There has to be values. And there is no respect for unborn children. Pro abortionists say that unborn children are nothing. And that's wrong. We know that souls incarnate with a purpose, and that most of the time, even if the parents don't see that purpose, their souls know it perfectly well. I am a father since two years, and my conscious little part of myself surely never thought of having a child. But happily life is not only in the conscious fake realm. If I listened only to my ego, I would never have accepted my child. And the law and social structures encourage me to think only with my ego when the child is still in the mother's womb. I must add that I am fanatic with individual free will, and would fight anywhere for the right of a woman to choose. While the child is in her body, she has all right (for me) to refuse to give birth to him. What I am pointing at is the lack of encouragement from the republican society towards the women who would like to have that child but feel unable because of money, family, job... There should be places and means and support given to them. Life to come should be revered as a sacred gift. (not to take negatively as superior to the mother's life and will of course) And the religious parities are the only places to give a counter power to the republican (not meaning the republican party, I'm in France: republic versus monarchy) excesses. So my guess is that they are used by the forces of light to bring spiritual awareness and care to the atheist minds. John K wrote (bright as usual :) "(BTW the ones I don't quote, I love you too :)" "Luke 5:37 37 And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. (NIV) (end of quote)" Well how is it to feel like a new wine in an old skin, and like an old skin receiving new wine? Dissolution. Getting dissolved in everyday life :) Hearing the hissing noise of acids eating the flesh (or dead flesh?) and leaving the baby flesh renewed. The point for me is more: how can I find a balance between the two, some way to live that process a bit more harmoniously :) I like the lab, the alchemy in my stomach, I'm fond of big flames burning, big bombs, power of elemental forces. But as a human I just don't enjoy being destroyed :) shrinked to bits. funny it just makes me laugh :) (yes I enjoy it too. Over the the rainbow) Karen: sent me great messages about shame, here it is: "SHAME Living in the shadow of shame is a miserable existence, but it is not an irreversible way of life. To make a major shift from feeling predominantly shameful to primarily self-accepting, we must find ways to bring light to dark places. Ironically, it is only by looking into the shadows of our selves and reclaiming all we have disowned that we can heal ugly wounds. The deepest, most lasting of this work requires return to the borderland." "The psychological borderland is a transitional zone, a lawless frontier beyond the conventional authority of reason and morality. Here, nothing is unthinkable, right and wrong are ignored. Metaphorically, it is a seedy carnival, where clowns and con artists emerge in antic anarchy." "As adults, we must step forward to meet the bad, awkward, or embarrassing strangers in the twilight and welcome with acceptance, not shame, those seedy characters who are also us." "Acknowledging our weaknesses makes us stronger. If our wounds are to heal, it is not our bandages but our open, running sores that must be exposed to the air and light." "Make a friend of the enemy within." See how it relates to that -new wine old skins- thing? Take all your anger, feelings, desires rise up in you and project them through your solar plexus in a "creative" way. ("Ghost" movie) Let all the bandages blow up. illusory bondages. Return to creative mode. Use your plexus outwardly to create, not to destroy. Feel free, not tied up. We are many (here in my country) engaged in that trip of recovering sovereignty. Hi Folks, I don't mean to take this discussion off topic, but I almost feel at times that I might be the poster child for exactly what JJ mentioned above. Although I claim no perfection in terms of my sacrificial service to others, the actual sacrificing has become the hallmark of my life. The result, however, seems only to match JJ's description; being taken advantage of. From my religious background I have found myself allowing, and indeed enabling, that very response from the people whom I've helped. I wish that I could say that this dynamic is something from my past, but even now I find it happening in abundance. And to be quite honest, my faith can run so thin at times that I would almost choose to walk away from the path, rather than endure this burden. Of course I realize that this thinking is coming from my lower energies and ego involvement, but I have not yet found a way of transcending this recurring nightmare. Even as I'm sitting here in front of my computer, I find myself in an urgent dilemma. You see, I've given just about everything I've ever had away to many different people in my life. And I'm aware that many have benefited, if even just a little, from my involvement in their lives. But here is my circumstance. Most of these people have either departed from my life, or are unable to respond to my needs. Right now, I'm almost completely out of work, (this has been steadily declining for some years) and quite frankly, I feel that nothing short of a miracle could change this course of events. I am almost in despair, my friends. I feel as if I've lost the strength to push through. Then I think, perhaps this is all just birthing pains. The darkest hour before the dawn. In fact, it's only this that keeps me from throwing in the towel. The hope I find in faith. I apologize for going on like this, but after reading JJ's comments, and seeing myself in his words, I thought perhaps someone could benefit from hearing my story. And too, I thought that perhaps one or more of you would agree to remember me in your prayers and thoughts today, as i feel like I have no better place to turn, but to my brothers and sisters on this list. And I recall a post from Rick, suggesting that those of us who are hurting should share that pain with the rest of us, that we might find help and healing from one another. Well Rick, here it is. And it's taken no small amount of anguish for me to post this note. I have always been the helper. But today I need support. To those of you who might be experiencing your own difficulties, may you too also find the help you need. Even today, in some miraculous way. The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community. Webster's also defines republic as: 1a. I feel like commenting here and now because the result of some of my own contemplations regarding pain and anger seem to fit somehow. You see, I have a lot of anger resulting from unexpressed emotional pain which was inflicted (what I believed at first) from my fellow brother's and sister's. But only recently did I realize the pain I continue to feel comes from the extreme 'shock to my system' so to speak that everyone has a right to Decide--not only to do things that would support my own Decision to Become--but even to those who would thwart my efforts. In other words, my pain came from resisting reality. And in this Aquarian age--when the boundaries in our minds between giving and receiving are breaking down--the reality is that there are still those who are clinging to the Pisces age. Those who would readily sacrifice, and those who would readily accept the fruits of that sacrifice. I know this is going to sound cold, but a person can only be walked upon if he lays himself down first. Why not try collecting on some of those favors you've lent to others? The best and worst that could happen is you'll find out which of your 'loved ones' believe that giving and receiving are one, and which ones do not. At first I was thinking 'technology' like John K. said, but I think I'll switch over to the answer being 'money' from Samu since it's the driving force behind the production of all new technology. People are either trying to make it or save it and any new technology which can do either or both of these will be a hit for whomever knows how to capitalize on it. Putting together a few thoughts from the last few posts here (including mine)--we all have the equal right to Decide (from Samu). Once we make that decision we then need energy (money), and the only way to generate energy is through work (service). Hooray, it fits! Doesn't it? However, I WILL reiterate what you already know - the power of the Song of the 144,000. I have found that saying it on a regular basis (at least twice a day) seems to smooth the way. Much of the bumpy ride I have experienced over the years has been transformed into a 'parting of the waters' that is at times very subtle, but there nevertheless. I haven't figured out yet whether the benefits are external to myself or whether saying the Song has changed me. Certainly when I do I'm aware of my energy fields expanding enormously. I think it's a combination of both. JJ told me recently when I was talking to him about my experiences with the Song, that it was given to us to protect us and save us from having to be 'thrown to the lions again'. I believe that many of the difficulties we go through in our lives are at least in part due to the activities off the Dark Brotherhood, especially if we have chosen a path of love, self renunciation and service. Saying the Song protects us from a lot of the effects of the Dark side. I keep you all in my prayers, especially when saying the Song but will be even more mindful of you now. I only give that one a 10 percent chance of being the "correct" answer. The other two for Aquarius seem to be closer to the mark. I'll go along with Dave for "invention." Dave writes: "...We could use the new technology from those inventions to help clean up our planet and make it a much better place to live..." I agree. Another way is through communication. We've come a long way since A.G. Bell invented the telephone. I have had a few "conversations" with Glenys via ICQ, and she is on the other side of the planet from me. Yet, the communication is nearly instantaneous. A hundred years ago, a letter would take at least a month to get from the US to New Zealand. I think communication (ie the Net) will be one of the big tools for service in the Aquarian Age. I am still hopeful someone will invent a new energy source to get away once and for all from burning fossil fuels for power. Actually, the technology already exists in the form of battery powered and hydrogen powered cars. Unfortunately greed still rules over wisdom, and those in power are reluctant to give up those oil profits for the sake of the environment. So...what comes out of the tailpipe of a hydrogen powered car? Water (in the form of steam - at least that's the last I heard on it). They did however manage to take my cell phone, and a few other items. After posting my note earlier, I received a call from a local business that had also been broken into. They called to let me know that they had found my cell phone, and that I could come right over and pick it up. I'm not one to make a big deal out of "things", but "signs" never escape my notice. So I'm going now to pick up my phone, and perhaps just a little of my strength. My thanks in advance to each of you who's love might envelope my circumstances." Your car is a vehicle, much like your physical body, that takes you to places and experiences that you decide to have in order to have realizations and continue on your path from there. Now, your vehicle was locked by you, in order to keep unwanted people from getting inside, and they broke in and took something that is related to what you expressed in the earlier post having lost when you had lived out the words you felt to carry Truth inside, helping others but getting no response. Whoever broke into your car was a taker against your will, which was wrong thing to do of course, but sometimes those things are taken from us that we are most afraid of losing, and they're taken so we can pay attention to what it really is we are doing or afraid of doing or happening. In life, it is often the things we are most afraid of doing or experiencing that teaches us the most valuable lessons. Your cell phone was taken from you. With your cell phone, you keep in touch and exchange thoughts and emotions of yourself with other people, regardless of distance you are connected, much like we are all connected to the Central Broadcasting Station, or thru the medium of higher frequencies to other souls in this world. You lost this means of communication for a while, but I find it interesting that someone else had had the similar experience and contacted you, and they were able to give you your means of connection right back, *and* the giver was not the same person who took it away in the first place. Just like many people who go thru lows in their lives, they can relate to what you are experiencing and can give help to re-establish your connection by sharing. I feel it is important to always remember that no- one can take your connection away for good. You have also now contacted us to help strengthen your signal, to help you hearing it clearer, fine-tuning yourself and getting rid of other stations close to that frequency that might be deranging the Original broadcast and distracting you from the original personal message, to you. Just like with the experience you described above, when something is taken from us against our will, we can still get the same thing back from someone else, even if it sometimes takes time (or realize what it symbolically represented was not lost at all except within our minds), or if we give something intentionally, it will come back with the intention we had set, and it can come from an other source or direction it was sent to originally, *and* we must be open to receive it and not let the new packaging around the gift fool us. Once we open the box it may contain the very same feelings we had sent out, and sometimes they come thru situations that give us an opportunity to grab a thing or two and grow to even bigger givers we were in the start of the cycle. It is important to not be afraid of giving nor shutting the door of receiving, because they both resist the natural universal flow. I wish all the best to you John, much strength and harmonious vibes. If there's anything I or any other member of our family can do to help and cheer you up, let me/us (aren't we one anyway?:) know. I meditated on you and sent you the Brightest I could, since you had expressed you are willing to receive to help you move on from here, and I got a few images I will soon share with you in a private mail, ok my friend? It also keeps me from running down to the hat shop to buy a new hat for my recently swelled head. Just like Rick's post about "Rickisms", don't automatically assume Garrett has the rest of the correct answers on these minor key words. The reasons I used "invention" instead of "technology" were: 1. John Kosier had already guessed "technology" ahead of me. 2. JJ could not have missed John's post (since it was entered before mine). I could be wrong here, but I'm about 100 percent sure that "technology" is not one of the minor key words. Ya folla? 3. Before technology becomes technology it first must be invented. That's why I included the reference to Alexander Graham Bell, who invented the telephone over 100 years ago. Look what we are able to do with it today. Hi Xavier, I agree with your last sentence and what I'm gonna say is based on that :) I am not pro abortion in any way per se, and find that issue as well as something like euthanasia very complicated and something that do not have constant answers or solutions, but everything depends on the case. But here was my thought: If the soul incarnates with a purpose, knowing what the major events in life will be that will lead to certain realizations and chosen outcomes, would the unborn child be able to see the forthcoming abortion and be willing to participate in the experience just to give the parents the possibility of choosing what the right choice is in that case? I don't mean to upset anybody, but don't you think it'd be possible? Children who die young are quite often highly evolved souls who do not need to spend such a long time in physical, and often they are bringers of many lessons to their parents and other people close to them. When we have 'advanced' so far that we can determine if a pregnancy is aborted or if life is given a chance to be born on earth, doesn't the responsibility of this life and its existence come into play at the same time? In a free will universe, there's an endless array of things that can be done, they're not necessarily right or wrong in themselves, but lead to different kinds of situations that require new kind of thinking to be solved. It is both a free will decision of the soul of the child as well the parents to have a certain experience. Actually I find the thing to be, because the parents are the creators of the child who has equal rights as the ones before her, can the parents choose for her? But then again they cannot choose for a soul to incarnate or not, that is free will of the soul choosing that experience, right? Ah, tired and should get some sleep instead of rambling aloud in front of y'all :D But, I definitely believe in woman's right to choose over her body, but that does include getting pregnant doesn't it? In order to get pregnant, there has to be decision on some level. I don't think many people ARE pro-abortion; rather they are pro-choice. They do not want to interfere in anther's free will as that is contrary to cosmic, planetary and personal laws. The other issue when discussing souls incarnating is *when* they actually incarnate ie at what stage does the soul essence enter the fetus (or embryo if you believe it happens at conception) because that will have a huge bearing on your views on abortion. The viewpoints vary wildly and I don't know the answer. I don't think I would ever consider a abortion seriously but I believe that the choice is mine either way. And I would not prevent anyone else from choosing an abortion, although I would feel compelled to do my best to ensure that the person's choice was based on full information and support, rather than on fear and loneliness. But Samu's right; it's a very complex topic and I don't think there is a right or wrong answer - another reason not to be dogmatic about it. Be able to change your ideas, what you think it is. There may be some lesson you still refuse to learn, and it makes your outer situation get always thinner. John Kosior writes: "J J Dewey wrote: Have you noticed that it is becoming common place that those who serve others with sacrifice are often taken advantage of to the extent that some almost loose their faith in God?" "Hi Folks, I don't mean to take this discussion off topic, but I almost feel at times that I might be the poster child for exactly what JJ mentioned above. Although I claim no perfection in terms of my sacrificial service to others, the actual sacrificing has become the hallmark of my life. The result, however, seems only to match JJ's description; being taken advantage of." I was a big example of that in childhood. But happily I revolted in adolescence, and learned to say no, to judge, to criticize. Ok I lost my high energies. but eventually recovered some of them, after having reconquered my earth kingdom. "From my religious background I have found myself allowing, and indeed enabling, that very response from the people whom I've helped. I wish that I could say that this dynamic is something from my past, but even now I find it happening in abundance. And to be quite honest, my faith can run so thin at times that I would almost choose to walk away from the path, rather than endure this burden." Strange. Do you act "good" waiting for a gift in return, a payment? Well. Act for yourself. If you can act for others it's okay, but IMO you can't do good to others by doing evil to yourself. I never said no in childhood. So I can say my life path FORMED me to discern between true help, and guilt-driven "help". I'm terribly hard today towards fake help-askings that are true guilt-pushings and "you must feel low as I do" traps. (I litterally can look at someone wailing on the floor, if it's manipulative, I'm just cold Service (aquarian) is in joy and lightness, detachment, like flying over, not plowing like a plough in blood, striping your guts to get eaten by unthankful egos. So if you feel good, childstar like when serving go ahead, and smile doing it, and it's a blissful feeling. Beware of authorities, inner ones, that tell you: you must or it's bad. "Of course I realize that this thinking is coming from my lower energies and ego involvement, but I have not yet found a way of transcending this recurring nightmare." Elaborate on that nightmare, I don't catch what's happening. "Even as I'm sitting here in front of my computer, I find myself in an urgent dilemma. The hope I find in faith." So your pain is: no job. (beware I'm blunt) Along with thinking: I gave so much why don't I receive? So is it this the key: somewhere you still wait for a return from your gifts to others? What about building your job on earth? Working for structure. Maybe you're a spiritual child, more than me, (more spiritual not child :) and you always relied on: "I give and others give me, and I rely on what they give me" Well what about giving to mother nature, building a structure through relationship with earth energies? Job, house, etc... This is also a give and receive relationship. An independent one. I see you (today) as a child waiting for support. "I love deeply so I deserve being carried by God through others" Well do it yourself. (Funny, I could use that advice much) "I apologize for going on like this," Don't! It's great! "but after reading JJ's comments, and seeing myself in his words, I thought perhaps someone could benefit from hearing my story. And too, I thought that perhaps one or more of you would agree to remember me in your prayers and thoughts today, as i feel like I have no better place to turn, but to my brothers and sisters on this list.
