Living in the Present

Living in the Present

As I looked through my e-mails and Keys postings, I find it interesting that the first e-mail I read was from a lurker who tells me he is Joseph Smith come again and that I am called to repentance. Then the next post I open from the group I find a new member is telling us he is Robert Browning come again.

A while back the group interrogated me a bit as to who I may have been in the past and I refused to give any information. One of the reason we lose our memories is so we can begin anew and make a new start in a totally new situation. Often times if we were to regain memories of the past it would interfere with what we are supposed to do in the present. The tendency would be to repeat the past rather than pave new ground in going where you have never gone before.

Now I say this to teach a principle and not as a criticism of the Robert Browning character or even the half dozen Joseph Smith’s come again I have met in my life – along with a few Messiahs.

One of the marks of a true teacher on the Path is that he will not proclaim high initiate status that will give him any authority over his students that was not earned in this life. The same with past lives or special callings. If the teacher proclaims he was some great being like Jesus or Buddha and the student believes this then it gives the teacher an authority over the student that was not earned in this life and the student will often be discouraged from running the teachers words by his own soul.

A sure sign that a teacher is captivated by glamour and some illusion is a proclamation that he is the new messiah or some great being from the past come again.

Notice that Jesus was silent with the masses about who he was. They thought he may have been Jeremiah, Elijah or one of the prophets, but he never confirmed their suspicions. They also thought he may be the Messiah, but again he said nothing. Instead he let his works and his words testify for him.

There were only two possible acknowledgements of who he was. After Peter received a revelation on the matter Jesus told him he had received it from the Father.

At his trial he was asked who he was:

“But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said…” Matt 26:63-64

Even at this point he did not admit for sure who he was. He was virtually saying “you’re saying it, not me.”

The fledgling avatar may object and say: “But I was Moses in a past life and I have a great message. Everybody just thinks I am Fred Snodgrass in this life and they will not listen to me. But if I can convince them I am Moses they will listen and then I can do a great work.”

Answer: Anyone who listens to you because they think you are Moses will only filter teachings through the emotional (astral) self. Only by teaching as who you are NOW can you reach the souls of men. So it has been with the true spiritual teachers in the past, so it is now, and so it will be. It will always be the eternal present and it is there that we must live.

Now our friend may have been Robert Browning. I am sure it matters to him but it does not matter to me. What does matter to me from what he has posted is that he is very strongly attached to his past love who he deems as a soul mate.

The first liberating teaching I can give here is that there is no such thing as a soul mate of destiny or the twin flame idea. In the beginning we were all created as reflections or in the image of God and each of us has the fullness of God within us waiting to unfold. Another thing we all fluctuate in cycles between male and female bodies so you will have lifetimes where the love of your life may be of either sex.

Eventually we merge with all other souls through the principle of Identification – that is we learn to identify with the one universal God. The closest thing there is to a soul mate is the first person that you merge with in the identification process with the one God. This makes the two become one. This soul mate can be anyone you choose to work with in the marriage relationship. If one person does not work then you can choose another.

My advice to the reader is this. Since the person you chose is not presently choosing you back then let her go, find another and move on. An opportunity may come to renew the relationship in the future, but putting additional emotional investment in it now will only delay that opportunity. Instead, you must create a vacuum through the principle of detachment. Then if she through her free will fills the vacuum at some future date you can turn your attention back on her. If she does not then you must move on with no feeling of regret.

Only by detaching yourself (with no denial) can the magnetic force be created to bring fresh opportunity. The detachment must be so complete that if nothing ever happens that is all right also.

This takes an act of the will and is difficult, but the rewards are great. I speak here from experience.

Also I do not know if I ever welcomed Susan to the group. I notice that she has been making some very good posts. Keep it up, even if I do not always have time to comment.

Question: I find the idea of the Molecular Relationship fascinating. Has anyone tried putting one together?

This group is the first online gathering place for candidates for the Molecular Relationship. Finding twenty-four people who can achieve oneness through soul contact is a Herculean task, but it will be done. The friction, even among good people in this group foreshadows the difficulty. After the first molecule becomes linked and functioning and seekers see that a new life form is created then the molecules afterwards will come much quicker.

The time for the first molecule is not yet. Some will begin to receive inner stirrings about it when the time approaches.

Question:

“JJ mentioned that the past model has been largely authoritarian with few exceptions. I am wondering why it has been so difficult for this to catch on? Is it because of our current evolvement? And from what I gather from what you have said this is changing or about to change drastically is that true in your opinion?”

Part of the reason is caused by the energies we are currently passing out of. For over two thousand years we have been ruled by the sign of Pisces. This is why the early Christians used the sign of the fish since the fish is the symbol of Pisces. Current Christians with a fish on their car do not realize they are displaying an astrological sign.

Also notice in over 95% of the cases the fish the Christian displays points to the left. The left is a symbol of the past and indicates that the contemporary Christian has his mindset in the past instead of the present or future.

Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac and as such this is a period where all unfinished business is taken care of so a new beginning can be made. Everything that did not prove to be of eternal value in the past eleven ages comes to a climax in Pisces and those under its influence learn the great lesson of letting go. That is they learn what they must release themselves from so they can make a new beginning.

The most important thing the human race is learning to let go of is unjust and unearned authority. Through our painful experiences of the past 2000+ years with Caesars, Napoleons, Conquistadors, Inquisitors, Hitlers, Popes, false prophets and kings we are finally beginning to “question authority.” This questioning reached a turning point in the Sixties and is now proceeding on a more gentle level that will be accelerated from time to time.

Seekers must learn the difference between earned and unearned authority, between the just and the unjust.

Just because a person is a Ph.D., a Priest, or proclaimed by the press to be right does not mean that he is not to be questioned. And just because another has no degree and no title does not mean that he has not carefully thought things through and is very accurate. Humanity is at its infancy in achieving soul contact. Most people are controlled by their astral body and thus by authority.

The messages from the Spirit must come from the mind and circulate through the heart. The mind must be open to contact. We are approaching an age that for the first time there is sufficient numbers of people with both hearts and minds evolved enough to become one through the soul and to be free from unjustified authority.

Feeding The Fourth And Fifth

This entry is part 09 of 11 in the series Esoteric Teachings

Feeding The Fourth And Fifth

It is interesting to contemplate on the idea that the higher kingdoms feed on the lower. It is obvious that the vegetable feeds on the mineral, the animals on the vegetable and the humans the animals. How this plays out further up the scale is not so obvious, but indeed we do have the words of a master who says, “the fifth feeds on the fourth.” In other words, the spiritual hierarchy, or the inhabitants of the kingdom of God derive nourishment from the human kingdom.

It is indeed true that all the inhabitants of the fifth kingdom were once in the fourth and therefore would not exist without us, but that doesn’t give us the full answer. The question is how they presently obtain nourishment from us similarly to how we do so from animals and vegetables.

Correspondences are rarely exact so I do not see the masters turning us into Soylent Green and eating us in a feast. Neither do I see the higher residents of Shamballa dining on the masters. Instead of being too literal we must look at the principle involved and that is nourishment of the higher by the lower. Nourishment can be obtained in a number of ways. Humans, for instance, obtain a certain amount of nourishment trough invisible prana just by being out in the sun. Then we obtain nourishment that feeds our emotional selves through friendships, romance as well as associations with our pets.

The members of the fifth kingdom have worked tirelessly for thousands of years to assist us humans so there has to be something in it for them. For one thing we know the higher must help the lower so they can earn the right to receive help from one higher still.

But beyond that any teacher or helper receives some immediate benefit when the assistance is received and appreciated.

As we read on in DK’s words we see another hint. The rule in question says: “Let then the group—merged in the fifth—be nourished by the sixth and seventh.”

The goal of a group of initiates then is to merge with the fifth. In other words, the destiny of advanced humans is to become as members of the kingdom of God while still being on earth in the human kingdom. When a group is able to do this then they will “be nourished by the sixth and seventh.”

Thus, when we create group consciousness on earth as it is in heaven the door is open to something even higher, the two kingdoms higher than the spiritual hierarchy. Humans and masters sharing consciousness will then receive nourishment from the kingdom where resides the Ancient of Days – Shamballa.

Because the Hierarchy depends on humans for this merging to bring down extra spiritual energies we can say that the fifth feeds on the fourth.

Keep in mind that this is just one answer for there is often more than one interpretation to writings received from a spiritual source.

Food For Thought

This entry is part 08 of 11 in the series Esoteric Teachings

Food For Thought

Daniel made this interesting observation a few days ago:

“There seems to be a natural hierarchy between the kingdoms, so that generally each serves and is as a food to the one above it. Hence the mineral kingdom is food to the plant kingdom, the plant kingdom to the animal kingdom, the animal kingdom to the human kingdom, and the human kingdom to the divine.”

Most of us basically understand that the vegetable consumes, or feeds on, the mineral or the earth, the animals feed on the vegetable and the humans the animals. But then he says that the humans are food “to the divine.” Could this be correct?

Perhaps so. Here is what DK says in the rules of healing:

Rule VI For Disciples and Initiates:

“Let the group know that life is one and naught can ever take or touch that life. Let the group know the vivid, flaming, drenching Life that floods the fourth when the fifth is known. The fifth feeds on the fourth. Let then the group—merged in the fifth—be nourished by the sixth and seventh and realise that all the lesser rules are rules in time and space and cannot hold the group. It onward moves in life.” Esoteric Healing, Page 21

Notice that he says, “The fifth feeds on the fourth.” The fifth kingdom is the Kingdom of God, or the Spiritual Hierarchy and the fourth is the human.

This is an excellent thought for contemplation. The question is this.

How is it that the human kingdom is food for the higher spiritual lives?

Occult Obedience

This entry is part 07 of 11 in the series Esoteric Teachings

Occult Obedience

The parent-child relationship is a good example of the standard type of obedience used by the world. For example, the kid doesn’t want to eat his green vegetables, but wants junk food instead. The parent then tells him that she knows what’s good for him and he’d better eat them or else.

This type of obedience is the only kind that can be extracted from those who have not yet gained the consciousness to conform to a higher type of obedience.

And what is that?

This is what DK calls “occult obedience.” This takes a higher consciousness so the one who is expected to obey understands why obedience is desirable.

For example, when the child matures he learns the principles of nutrition and realizes why the parent requested he eat green vegetables. He now obeys the desire of the parent, not through fear of punishment, but because he understands the benefit of the green vegetables just as does the parent.

The higher lives seek for cooperation from the sincere seekers of the world, but they do not seek co-workers from those who have to be told what to do and must be under threat of punishment before they can be relied upon. Instead, they will send impressions to a prospective laborer and see if he will respond with his own free will. If the seeker can then act with a similar understanding of the need, as does the Master, he then becomes a prospect to become a fellow servant.

His free will obedience is called “occult obedience.”

Here are several quotes from DK on the subject:

Obedience, for the disciple, is a quick spiritual reaction to the Plan as it emanates from the Hierarchy, rapid and correct sensitive registration of the quality of the Ashram with which he may be affiliated and a consequent and in time almost automatic undertaking (with speed) the required task. It is a task which the disciple assigns to himself and is not one ordered by the Master. The acceptance of the task is simply evidence that the disciple is an ashramic worker, pledged to the welfare of humanity. Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 2, Page 586-587

What is this occult obedience, my brothers, about which we hear so much? Not what many occult groups make it out to be. It is not the control of an external organisation, dedicated to so-called occult work. It is not the imposed conditions of any teacher of any rank. It is not the exchange of the prison of one set of ideas for those of another set with perhaps a larger range or import. A prison is a prison, whether it is a tiny cell or an isolated island of vast extent, from which escape is impossible. Glamour, A World Problem, Page 49

I will teach you. Whether or not you profit by the teaching is entirely your own affair; that is something that the disciples of the New Age need to learn. There is no such thing as occult obedience as usually taught by the current occult schools. In the olden days in the East, the Master exacted from His disciple that implicit obedience which actually made the Master responsible and placed upon His shoulders the destiny or the karma of the disciple. That condition no longer holds good. The intellectual principle in the individual is now too much developed to warrant this type of expectancy. Therefore, this condition no longer holds good. In the coming New Age, the Master is responsible for the offering of opportunity and for the right enunciation of the truth but for no more than that. In these more enlightened days, no such position is assumed by the teacher as in the past, and I do not assume it. I shall with frankness speak. I know my disciples, for no disciple is admitted into an Ashram without deep consideration on the part of the teacher. I shall convey by hint and symbol that which should be apprehended and it will be noted and understood by those among my disciples who have the opened, inner ear and true humility of heart. If it is not recognised, time will pursue its onward course and revelation will ultimately come. `I exact, therefore, no blind obedience. But, however, if advice and suggestion are accepted and you choose—of your own free will—to follow my instructions, those instructions must be followed accurately. Also, there must be none of that constant looking for results and for phenomena which has deterred the course and the progress of many would-be disciples. Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 1, Page 5, 7

The magnetic pull of the positive centre at the very heart of the group; that means the magnetic pull of the Master. As you well know, theoretically at least, at the centre of the Ashram stands ever the Master, or else an initiate or a world disciple. His task is to blend and fuse the energies, tendered and proffered by the group (under the urge to serve) and to indicate the field of service. The mode of this instinctual activity is called occult obedience and this is voluntarily rendered and unitedly followed. When any group—working in this way under a Master—is moved by one spiritual impulse and functions through one firm organisation (like electrons around the positive nucleus in an atom), the potency of the group will become immediately effective and not before Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 1, Page 703

The recognition that in this work, true occult obedience or the intelligent response to the urge of the group soul and to the “pull” of the Hierarchy, is the next major requirement. This will produce the right carrying out of the required assigned technique and a complete refraining from any interest in phenomenal results or an analysis (at this stage) of any reactions experienced. Individual analysis hinders group recognition and true realisation. This is a point to be considered and remembered Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 2, Pages 53-54

My next reason for disbanding the group is the failure in occult obedience of many of you. Voluntarily and willingly you joined the groups for training, discipline and expansion. This involved the following of certain suggestions, meditations and instructions. For years, quite a number of you have done absolutely nothing about your personal instructions. I refer here not only to exoteric exactitude but (above all else) to esoteric understanding. When, my brothers, I assign meditation work and make suggestion over the years, I have a definite purpose in view and a plan worked out [76] which is adapted to the particular student. When the work is not done, I—owing to the freewill of the disciple—am helpless. Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 2, Page 75

Certain other students regarded “occult obedience” as an infringement of their freewill, as did D.A.O. Quite a number of you simply suffered from inertia, and though pleased and excited over the material received from me, in the group or personal instructions, were too lazy to avail yourselves to the full of that which was given, and consistently failed to comply with my requests. Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 2, Page 92

Here I have very briefly outlined for you the new developments which are possible if the disciple is rightly focussed and oriented. There are within latent possibilities. If you will pause and consider, you will realise that the task of the Master in the past, as He sought to prepare the disciple for initiation, was largely concerned with awakening him to the need for occult obedience, for right orientation, for persistence, and for devotion to his objective. But all that lies far behind the true modern disciple. Today, the Master indicates to him the overshadowing cloud of knowable things; He assures him that he has within him undreamt of powers which will, when brought to the surface of consciousness, demonstrate to him his own essential adeptship and enable him to share in the great hierarchical task of illumining, precipitating, and lifting. Today the Master—having done the above—leaves the disciple to work through to knowledge and cooperative usefulness; He neither pushes him into premature action nor constantly supervises him; He surrounds him with the aura of His presence and the protection and stimulation of His Ashram; He gives him occasional hints, and as the disciple acts and works upon the hinted suggestions, the hint becomes a clear direction and a luminous area of enlightenment. Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 2, Pages 300-301

That occult obedience which signifies freedom, spiritual freedom, within a world of natural law, has garnered for you sound results. Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 2, Page 541 Also see Discipleship in the New Age, Vol 1, Pages 686-687

Telepathy Externalized

This entry is part 06 of 11 in the series Esoteric Teachings

Telepathy Externalized

There is a lot of meat that could be discussed in these quotes by Anna, but I found one particularly interesting which states:

“I have indicated somewhat the intended work of the first group from the angle of telepathic interplay. The method of communication between the Members of the Hierarchy has to be externalized, eventually, upon earth and this is one of the tasks of the group.”

This method of communication is a form of mental telepathy which he says will be externalized. This means that members of the human kingdom will be able to communicate mind to mind as do the masters. Just imagine how the world would be different if such an ability were commonplace. We wouldn’t need much of the technology we have now and we could meet as we do now on Facebook with no electronic devices.

Own the other hand, another possible development may be overlooked here. Some advanced thinkers are already planning for the creation of telepathy through the use of technology. There are plans to develop implant technology linked to our brains so those with the implants can access the internet and communicate with anyone on it. So, instead of turning on your computer and sending a message, you would just have to think of any person connected and then have a mind to mind communication with them. In fact, technology may take us beyond communication in words so we can see an instant image or perhaps even a hologram of the person contacted.

I would guess we will see this technology developed within the next 50 years or sooner as long as no major catastrophe interrupts us.

So what do you think? Will DK’s prediction come to pass through technology, spiritual development or both?

Do you think that many would resist such an implant for fear they would receiving the mark of the beast in their foreheads? It would be an interesting development if such an implant were used to buy and sell.

Annalee Skarin

Annalee Skarin

I was asked about about Annalee Skarin, a famous LDS author who promoted new age teachings. I think she was on the right track in a lot of her teachings, but she was not a Master and did succumb to the art of deception. Deceptiveness has been the downfall to many teachers and in the end winds up throwing a suspicion over the things they write which are true.

This is why it is so important to run all things by your soul.

Perhaps the most important ingredient to achieving any true translation or the overcoming of death is complete honesty in all that is taught. Withholding information is often done by the Masters, but any intentional dishonesty puts a veil between the seeker and the soul.

I have also heard that Baird T. Spalding who wrote the Teachings of the Masters of The Far East never even visited the places described in his books and thus the story part of the account was fictionalized even though it is presented as true. If this is true it means the teachings also came from his mind and not the Masters. This does not discount the fact that the books contain many good teachings that will resonate with the soul.

I have no concrete proof of his fictionalization, but even if it is, obviously Baird did a lot of studying of true materials and presented many truths therein. The trouble is that there are also many things that are not true and again the need for the importance of checking with the inner light.

If anyone has additional proof one way or another about Spalding I’m sure the group would be interested.

It is interesting that many “inspired” books and teachings that are based on fiction are presented as true, yet my story (the Immortal Series) is presented as a mixture of fiction and truth, and I’m sure contains more true teachings than most.

Here is some interesting information on Annalee. She is not alone in claiming to be translated yet dying a natural death. Ekankar claims Paul Twitchel ascended even though he is dead and buried, as well as Mark Prophet who founded the church Universal and Triumphant – later headed by Elizabeth Prophet.

The Death of Annalee Skarin

In October, 1994, Annalee Skarin “was found in the one place she told thousands she would never go…” Annalee Skarin, aka Nan Mathews, died on Sunday 17 January 1988 at 9:50am, at the Cedars Convalescent Hospital, Red Bluff, California, where she had spent the last two years of her life. She was 88 years old. Annalee’s husband, Reason Skarin, died in 1982. Her gravestone at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Corning, California, reads: “Nan Mathews also known as Analee Skarin who visited on earth from 1899 to 1988 Gone to skip rope with a rainbow along the Milky Way.” Her funeral, held on 20 January, was attended by six people. Paid for by her landlady – Annalee had told her that she had no family. Annalee was re-baptised into the LDS Church on June 15, 1995. Her temple blessings were restored on June 20, 1995.

Annalee was born at American Falls, Idaho, on 7 July, 1899, the ninth child of Frederick John Kohlhepp and Mary Ella Hickman. Her father, a Jewish convert to mormonism, died when Annalee was nineteen. She was the grand-daughter of William Adams Hickman. Her first marriage to _____ Gorman ended in annulment. She had a male child who died at nine months. After the marriage ended she served a mission in California where she met Reason Skarin – her true love. However, they were not to marry for another twenty-one years. Annalee was to express that it was the forces of darkness that had kept them apart. She lived with him in her heart, and he, with a tiny photo of her on his mantelpiece. After her mission she wed Hugo Avarell in 1922 and had another son, who died at birth, and two daughters – Linda Moat and Hope A. Hilton. It was an unhappy marriage that lasted until 1943. When her daughters were teenagers Annalee left for Buffalo, New York, and married the real love of her life. Reason Skarin was a convert from her California mission.

It appears that Annalee Skarin went to great lengths to keep her whereabouts hidden, both in life and death, or so her eldest daughter Hope Hilton believes. Hope and her husband searched diligently for more than thirty years to find her mother – the last time Hope saw Annalee was in May 1952 in Chicago. At that time Annalee was on her way to Salt Lake City. In June she would be excommunicated from the LDS Church – two weeks later she would claim to have “translated”. It should be noted that Hope, herself, played a part in Annalee’s excommunication. Her husband submitted a study he made of Annalee’s books to a church elder, Mark E. Petersen, outlining disagreeable elements in her work. Hope fully supported her husband’s actions.

In an article in Sunstone April, 1991, Hope wrote that her mother “was a paranoid schizophrenic who groupened to an inner voice whose tapes were often garbled. She was a dramatic actress who sought center stage and applause while proclaiming humility. She was a master of cover-up which only those on the inside could see.” She believes that Annalee’s “translation” was a means of escape after her excommunication. “She chose this route and, once chosen, it could not be reversed. If her earthly body was found subject to mortality her claim would be exposed to the world as a lie.”

Whenever Hope would visit her younger sister, Linda, they would argue about their mother’s sanity. Both have groups of more than twenty different addresses where Annalee and Reason Skarin lived since 1952, as well as numerous aliases they both used, to keep their identities veiled. Reason quit his job as a police officer a year before he was due to receive a pension. The latter years of both their lives are reported to have been spent in poverty. In the last years of Annalee’s life the State of California was paying for all of her needs. When Annalee died she left a $1400 debt owed to the State that was paid by her landlady.

How did Hope find her mother after all those years? She sent $5 to Mr Charles H. Crookston in San Francisco to locate her mother’s death certificate. The only information Hope could supply was her mother’s name and birthdate and the name of her last husband. Mr Crookston initially did a search for the death certificate of Reason Skarin due to his unusual name. This proved easy to find. As Reason needed a free burial place in the service section of the cemetery, documents disclosing his identity were necessary. The discovery of Reason Skarin’s death certificate lead to the death certificate of Nansela Mathews, aka Annalee Skarin. Her death certificate number: 3-88-52-000029

Did Annalee Skarin shroud herself in mystery to keep the focus away from her personality, or did she purposely create an alluring veil of intrigue with the intention of gathering a dedicated audience? If the focus was not to be on herself why did she write the The Sons of God under the pen name of Christine Mercie…

Those interested in further details should read: “The Puzzle of Annalee Skarin: Was She Translated Correctly?”, by Samuel W. Taylor “A Daughter’s Response or The Inside View”, by Hope A. Hilton Both articles in “Sunstone”, Volume 15:1, April, 1991. “Solving the Mystery of Annalee Skarin the Disappearing Mystic”, by Carolyn Campbell – Hope Hilton, respondent Audio tape #224 All of the above are available from Sunstone Foundation, 343 North 300 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84103-1215 Also, The Marriott Library in Salt Lake City holds the Hope Hilton collection with extensive material and documents covering the life of Annalee Skarin, including her last unpublished manuscript. Annalee Skarin’s Letters

(Information compiled from several discussion groups)

Yes, she was very human, and like many humans she is now very dead. Whatever she wrote about in her books, whatever beautiful thoughts she had about radiating joy, love and gratitude, it was not enough to guarantee her own bodily immortality. Incidents of her teleporting are at best anecdotal. Her death is a fact.

Annalee has been dead for over ten years now (as of Jan 2000). She suffered from arteriosclerotic heart disease for three years ( a common complaint of old age), and spent two years of her life in a wheel-chair, before dying in a Californian hospital from pulmonary oedema and respiratory failure in 1988. She was eighty-eight years old. Her third husband, Reason Skarin, died six years before her of a similar ailment.

Anyone can visit her grave at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Corning, California. A rainbow and stars are carved features on her tombstone.

Far from teleporting, Annalee and Reason Skarin lived at more than 25 earthly addresses, went by numerous aliases (Annalee is buried under one of those aliases, Nan Mathews, a fact her daughter says proves Annalee did not want anyone to know of her death), and lived in poverty. Her last residence was 70 Gilmore Road, Red Bluff, Tehama County, California. Her husband worked several jobs here and there to pay the rent while Annalee typed.

Her last manuscript “Pathway to the Gods” was never published because her lawyer, who handled all her work, thought she’d become senile, and the book a ridiculous fantasy.

Her publishers will verify that she was also the author of “Sons of God”, using the pseudonym Christine Mercie. This point is worth noting because she professed to shun any interest in her personal life and this book gives the reader a small but rare insight into the personal life of both her and her husband.

Anyone claiming to have met the Skarins in the last fifteen years is either hallucinating or making up tall tales to impress everyone.

Many Immortalists like her have died, and if seekers do not want to get caught up in romantic fantasies and are really interested in physical immortality, they should search out the true facts and not be disheartened by them.

The Worship Principle & More

The Worship Principle & More

Question: “Could you clarify the principle of worship?”

When John saw his vision and was visited by an angel it was written:

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Rev 19:10

Why did this angel tell John it was wrong to worship him?

Answer: Because he was a fellow servant and a brother.

What is our relationship to Jesus?

Is it not the same? He washed the disciples feet to illustrate that he was their servant and taught that the greatest in the kingdom of god is he who is the greatest servant.

It is also clearly stated that he is our brother:

“For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified ARE ALL OF ONE (one Spirit): for which cause he (Jesus) is not ashamed to call them brethren.” Heb 2:11

He is also called “the firstborn of MANY brethren.” Rom 8:29

It is because that Jesus was a fellow servant and our brother that he responded as follows:

“And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.” Matt 19:16-17

Notice that Jesus did not even allow this person to call him “good” let alone worship him.

What is the principle behind worship?

The answer is as follows:

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

I realize that most LDS believe this scripture was altered because it does not conform with their view of God having a physical form. Nevertheless, I believe it to be accurate and that it contains a lesson on the true principle of worship.

The reason the angel stopped John from worshipping him and that Jesus would not allow himself to be called “good” is that to do so is a form of idolatry. Both were examples of humans giving glory that belongs to the one God to the form of a man.

The basic commandment to avoid worshipping images is given as follows:

“Thou shalt have none other gods before me. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them.” Deut 5:7-9

The reason we should not worship images is given as:

“For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire…” Deut 4:24

The consuming fire of the Spirit of God has no form and this one universal God of which we are parts of this whole is what we are to worship.

There are several times in the scriptures where it does seem that Jesus allows himself to be worshipped. Since he was in the form of a man why was this allowed when the principle of worship is to worship God as a Spirit in Spirit and truth?

The answer is that Jesus or any other Master can look into the hearts of men and even though disciples may be showing reverence in their presence, if the Master sees that the person is giving Glory through the Spirit to the invisible Spirit of God and not the image of a man then he will not interfere with the reverence, but participate in it himself.

If the Christ, or the Lord of the World, were to appear to you in human form and you were to attempt to worship him as a personality he would stop you, but if you were to worship with your Spirit and sense the Spirit of God in the presence of the Master then it would be allowed.

Question: “What is the relationship of John to the Christ?”

I believe there is a relationship that goes beyond what is given in the Bible but it does not matter because:

“But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Matt 12:48-50

Question: Were Moses and Elijah messiahs in their time?

That which Paul called “the body of Christ…composed of many members” did not begin with the Christian church, but some before Christ realized oneness with God and became Masters of Wisdom.

There are two stages of overcoming death. The first is to reach a stage in consciousness where you have power given you to rejuvenate your body and live on as long as you desire here on the earth. Both Moses and Elijah achieved this, but since that achievement they have incarnated again. For instance, we are told quite clearly that John the Baptist was Elijah come again.

The “better resurrection” mentioned in the scriptures was that achieved by Jesus in cooperation with the Christ. With this “overcoming” the Master had power to allow his body to be destroyed, yet can raise it up again. He also can change his form if desired for he is a Master of form.

I was asked if the Dark Brothers have worked to take followers away from the original teachings of the Catholic, Mormon and other churches.

The answer is a definite yes. Whenever any inspired teacher appears every effort will be made to distort the truth presented. After the teacher is gone there is usually a vacuum created that the dark ones seek to fill with their people.

This is one reason that the Molecular Relationship is so important. If set up correctly, it will be a self-correcting organization where the lights gravitate to the top as cream does in milk. Only by the creation of such a self-correcting and living organization can there be established a peace on the earth that can last a thousand or more years.

If we were to create an organization based on established principles it would be corrupted within two generations no matter how perfect the beginning was.

Question: “Are there beings on the earth who have/had some direct access to the Solar Logos as well, is that possible?”

Lots of people think they do, but the main communication with this great entity is the Ancient of Days, the planetary Logos, and those in his Molecules.

The Christ has some understanding of Him but most of this is sent down to Him from the Ancient One.

Question: “Who do we pray to when we pray to God?”

We must pray in spirit to the one God of which we are all parts of his body. After your prayer is sent forth in faith it will be picked up by a higher life who realizes his oneness with God and if it looks like an answer to your prayer will indeed be helpful assistance of some kind may be forthcoming.

Sometimes you may pray to God for help and a friend who is in tune with the Spirit may pick up the plea and help you right here on the physical plane.

The Catholics make a big mistake in praying to saints instead of the one God. Some of the Saints they pray to are now living in physical bodies as regular mortals.

Question: “Do any others besides the dark brothers suffer a loss of their souls for a round of creation?”

The only way to enter the path of destruction is to completely reject the Spirit of God, the Love of God and the Will of God in favor of the isolated will of the lower self. The Dark Brother thus creates an impenetrable wall between him and his source of life. When this happens all that is him as an individual begins to disintegrate until all that remains is his formless spirit, or Intelligence as the Mormons call it.

This total rejection of God is called in the scriptures the unforgivable sin and those who commit it are called the Sons of Perdition in the Bible. The darkness they enter is so great that it takes several lives of sustained selfishness to seal the door to life.

Such destroyed entities must wait for the creation of a future solar system to get another chance at evolution and start all over from the beginning, a waste of billions of years.

All other entities who do not totally reject their Creator will eventually find the path of life and move on to liberation. Some of us take more prodding than others.

Fortunately, only a small number continue on the Left Hand Path until they reach the point of no return.

Someone asked why I refer to God as a He.

The One God who permeates the universe is composed of both all males and all females, but because of the limitations of English I must call such a being a He, She or It. I prefer He, but if others want to use She or It this is fine with me. Others call IT a Father/Mother God but that takes more keystrokes than “He.”

The Hierarchy of Gods

The Hierarchy of Gods

I remembered when I discovered the truth of reincarnation, shattering my whole belief system. This did not happen with one piece of evidence, but I had to be hit with proof after proof after proof until I was forced to look at the principle with an open mind or deny the whole logical thought process.

Then when I discovered this was true for a surety I began to ask myself what other areas of belief that I may be upside down about. After I asked this question to myself I decided to read all the scriptures (including the Mormon ones) from cover to cover with the mindset that I knew nothing and had never been taught anything from them by any man. My attitude was to just discover what the prophets were saying with no preconceived notions at all.

What happened in doing this amazed me. I discovered principle after principle, truth after truth, that I had never seen before. I kept asking myself: “Why did I not see these things before?” Then as I studied the last book of the Bible I began to realize that I was so blinded because the true meaning of the Beast in Revelations is unearned authority and one reason I was able to break free and discover additional truths is that I released my mind from all outwardly authority and began to seek only those things that registered with my own soul.

I find it interesting that many people enter the New Age thought system because of a rebellion against religion, whereas in my case I discovered that many principles of metaphysics were true by reading the scriptures. In other words, I was lead to metaphysics not because of a rebellion, but because of light I received in reading the words of the prophets.

Many of the things I teach in this group which seem new and unique I received while reading the scriptures.

It’s been about 22 years (written Jan, 2000) since I have been involved in religion and I must say that my way of looking at the world and the “plan of salvation” is much different today than it was back then.

I have read very little over the past fifteen years, not because I have given it up but because my time has been at such a premium. As I look back on this period I think this may have been the design of my soul for in some ways I have learned more in the past fifteen years where I have done very little reading than I did the fifteen previous where I did a lot of reading. Contemplation and tuning into the Oneness Principle can often lead to greater light than the reading of books.

By the way Glenys I agree with you 100% that it is a miracle that we have had a number of people join us who have emerged from highly structured religion. Unless a person has gone through it he cannot appreciate the difficulty in making the change.

I was accused of teaching relative truth. Why anyone would think that I believe in this is beyond me. Our perception of truth is relative, but the “truth is true and nothing else is true.”

I have also never been in harmony with the “God is dead” writers. I believe in a Living God as Jesus taught: “God is not a God of the dead (dead prophets) but of the living” (living people having God within them).

How can one believe in the omnipresence of God and not believe that God is within us? What do such people think – that God is everywhere but in us?

I am going to post more writings in the near future about the nature of God.

I do want to clear up a few things for the Mormons on the group. They basically believe that there is a hierarchy of Gods, and that God exists in a physical body. Even though Joseph did teach about a hierarchy of Gods most of them just see God as the God of the whole universe sitting on a throne in a physical body in a Celestial Kingdom.

There is some confusion because the Mormon scriptures indicate that there is one God with scriptures such as:

“And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.” II Nephi 31:21 Also Mormon 7:7

“And Amulek said: Yea, there is a true and living God.

Now Zeezrom said: Is there more than one God?

And he answered, No.

Now Zeezrom said unto him again: How knowest thou these things?

And he said: An angel hath made them known unto me.” Alma 11:27-31

“Which Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one God, infinite and eternal, without end. Amen.” D&C 20:28

Then later Joseph Smith taught that there are many Gods and said that the God over us once was a man like us. He even made fun of the one God statement from the book of Mormon:

“Many men say there is one God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are only one God! I say that is a strange God anyhow–three in one, and one in three! It is a curious organization.” DHC 6:476

He also said in the same reference that

“The heads of the Gods appointed one God for us; and when you take [that] view of the subject it sets one free to see all the beauty, holiness and perfection of the Gods.”

Let’s put this all together as simply as possible now and I will write more on the subject later.

What causes the confusion in Mormon doctrine as well as some other religions as well as metaphysics is that there is only one God, one great life that permeates the universe. But within this universe is a hierarchy of Masters who understand that they are created in the image of the one God and are a reflection of Him/She/It. These Masters understand that they are one with God to the extent that when they tell their disciples that “I AM God” they are not saying they are a God in a separated sense, but in a oneness sense. Just as my mouth is not the whole me but can say “I am JJ” even so can The Ancient of Days (which is the God appointed to this earth) and the Christ tell us that they are the one God. Even though they are two individuals, they are really one with all the other Masters. Because there is real oneness these Masters are true voices of the One God.

The main difference between us and the Masters is that we do not comprehend our oneness with God and feel it sacrilege to consider it, yet the scriptures say:

“I am the true light that is in you, and that you are in me; otherwise ye could not abound.” D&C 88:50

God is the true light in us and we are in him. When we realize we have this oneness with God we then approach the true path of overcoming all things as did the Christ.

Here’s another interesting scripture:

“The elements are the tabernacle of God; yea, man is the tabernacle of God, even temples.” D&C 93:35

What does it mean when it says “The elements are the tabernacle of God?”

It means that the true body of the one God is all the elements in the whole universe. A body of a Master is just one small part of the One God, but because of The Oneness Principle this small part is a mouthpiece for the One God.

What does it mean when it says “man is the tabernacle of God.”

Answer: It means that just as the body of the One God is the Universe, the body of man is a creation of the mind of God and as such contains a universe within it. God does dwell within us just as the metaphysical teachers proclaim. Our bodies are tabernacles or houses that is the dwelling place of God and that God which is within us is our true selve which has always been one with God, but because of illusion we see ourselves as separate from Him.

We do not really become Gods as the Mormons teach. Instead we become Masters through a growing realization of who we really are.

Thus Joseph was right in teaching that there are Gods in physical bodies and that there was one in particular appointed to this earth, but the scriptures are also right in teaching that there is one God that no man has seen. We have only seen him as he is reflected in his parts.

The God who appeared to Moses, for instance, was a Master in a physical body. The higher Masters in the Spiritual Hierarchy do not always reside in physical bodies, but fold lower elements into the higher when they reside in higher worlds. But any time they wish to visit the physical sphere they unfold their physical selves. It is very uncomfortable for them to reside here for any length of time however. If a disciple exercises faith this creates a bridge that opens a door that allows a visit with minimal discomfort.

As far as developing physical characteristics goes – we have within our cellular computers all the knowledge incorporated therein to manifest physical bodies of the highest perfection. The key to accomplishing this is not in the test tube (even though that can work to a degree) but to advance in consciousness. As we advance in consciousness our bodies advance in refinement. Consciousness is the activating factor of any unused DNA or other ingredients that alters our form and physical abilities.

A reader commented that he was somewhat confused with my presentation of Jesus and the Christ as two entities yet it does not sound that way in some of my writings.

Even though there were two entities in one body there was such a high level of agreement and cooperation that they were of one mind. Jesus just recognized that the one that was in and with him saw from a higher angle of vision than he did.

To achieve a rough idea of how this felt look within yourself and feel the two great parts of the life that makes up the one you – your heart and your mind. When your heart and mind are not in agreement we have much inner conflict almost like two lives fighting it out, but when the heart and mind are in agreement (as was Jesus and the Christ) then there is peace and harmony and miracles happen in your life.

When I thus speak of Jesus without qualification I refer to the two operating as one.

It is true that the whole Trinity of God is reflected within us as individuals and we manifest the Triune God as we progress, but two entities working as one is a different matter, but not much different from a husband and wife working together as a team with one purpose.

The Oneness of God and Man

The Oneness of God and Man

Question: Does the oversoul have a name?

You’ve probably heard that “all souls are one.” A mantra revealed by Alice A. Bailey says: The souls of men are one and I am one with them…”

This oneness of the souls of all men is the oversoul for the human kingdom and if often called by the teachers as just “the soul.”

It is correct to say that spirit and matter constitute the soul because the oversoul could not exist without the interplay of Spirit and matter.

Here on earth we have individualized consciousness and we seem to be separate souls, but in the world of pure soul there is only one oversoul for all humanity and you and I are parts of that whole.

This oversoul is an extension of the oversoul for the whole planet and the soul of the planet is an extension of the oversoul of the whole solar system and so on up the line. The Holy Spirit is a great Cosmic entity that works through the Oversoul. In addition to this there are representatives of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost within the Brotherhood. The Christ, of course, represents the Son for this planet, even though from another way of looking at it he is a Father (or sender) to us.

Question: Is Sanat Kumara the Ancient of Days?

Yes.

Question: Do ordinary mortals have a Watcher or is it just those earmarked for great service? Is it normally the Angel of the Presence or just our Higher Selves?

JJ

The Ancient of Days is the main watcher and there are six other main ones making seven in all. Some of the Masters such as Christ perform a lot of their service through this principle of focused attention on the end result of decisions made.

Watchers are not like angels. The Angelic kingdom actively works to make that which is watched for (or visualized) by the higher lives materialize.

When the Father enters into this state of focused attention (he never really leaves it completely) every life on the planet becomes a part of his consciousness and each one of us are a part of his mind or a cell in his body. He has an awareness of us all in a way that we will not understand unless it is personally revealed to us.

Question: How would you explain Jesus to the average Christian?

Perhaps the biggest misunderstanding about Jesus is that he is seen as a son of God in a different way than we are. The following are some of my views on the subject in relation to the scriptures:

Orthodox Christians are greatly disturbed by both the teachings of Joseph Smith and the New Age teachings on God because the only concept of God that they can conceive of is A single God who rules the universe. Therefore, when they are told that man can become or manifest God they think that is the height of arrogance, as if the man who believes such is claiming to be the king of all creation. They forget that the New Age concept of God is different from theirs. If we looked upon God as being separate from ourselves it would be arrogant to claim to be God, but if we look upon God as being something of which we are a part, then there is no arrogance. New Age people merely see God as the whole of life and to manifest God is to recognize that we are a part of that whole. In other words, our claim to manifesting God is based on the injunction of Jesus to be one with the Father and the Son. How can being one with God be anything else than being God?

A drop of water is insignificant when it is removed from a giant wave, but when it is joined back into the wave and cooperates with it, it then becomes the wave. We are like drops of water that have separated from the Life wave we call God. When we join back in with the God wave we become one with it and we can say with all the other billions of lives: “I am the wave” or “I AM God”. We have not lost the molecules that have made us the drop. We still have our identity, but we have much more. We are one with something much greater than ourselves (as drops) to the extent we actually identify with the wave. We are a wave, yet joined with millions of drops combined. No life is separated from the Life which is God.

This principle is not new and should not be thought to be esoteric for it is clearly taught in the Bible.

Paul spoke very clearly concerning the nature of Christ who is God: “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are diversities of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is THE SAME GOD THAT WORKETH ALL IN ALL. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to EVERY MAN to profit withal…(Then Paul enumerates on the gifts of the Spirit.) For as THE BODY IS ONE (the Wave) , AND HATH MANY MEMBERS (the many drops), and all the members (human lives) of that ONE BODY (GOD), being MANY, are ONE body, SO ALSO IS CHRIST (GOD). For by ONE SPIRIT we are all baptized into ONE body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into ONE SPIRIT. For the body (GOD) is not one member (Life), but MANY (All lives together)…Now Ye are the body of Christ (GOD), and members in particular.” I Cor 12:12-14, 27

It should be obvious from this scripture that Christ is much more than the man Jesus and God is not just one entity sitting on a throne. Both Christ and God (or the Father) are one and manifest through one body, but that body is composed of many members. On earth, those who are members of the body of Christ are those who “know the love of Christ” and are “filled with the FULNESS OF GOD” (Eph 3:19)… “until Christ be formed IN YOU.” (Gal 4:19) “To whom God would make known what is the riches of glory of this MYSTERY among the Gentiles: which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory.” Col 1:28

“LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU WHICH WAS ALSO IN CHRIST JESUS: who being in the form of God, thought it not mockery to be EQUAL WITH GOD: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men…” Phil 2:5-7 “…That the life of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” II Cor 4:10

The Bible teaches that Christ in our world is composed of many members possessing the Spirit of God. Jesus, however, “is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead.” Col 1:18

Even though Jesus is the most important member of the body he is NOT the only member. We should not look upon him as being apart from us, or as manifesting God in a way that we cannot for we are commanded to have the same mind in us that was within him. Concerning Jesus Paul wrote: “…great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh…” I Tim 3:16 Since we are commanded to be of the same mind as Jesus then we should also manifest God in the flesh.

In fact we are promised that we shall manifest God beyond our comprehension. Jesus said: “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER WORKS than these shall he do; because I go to my Father…At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in my, and I (Christ) IN YOU.: John 14:12 & 20.

It is interesting to note that Jesus never did directly refer to himself as “The Christ”. In referring to himself he always used the title: “son of Man”. Thus Jesus, the man, humbly associated himself with humanity. He never spoke the word “Christ” in relation to himself exclusively as others did. In fact, there are only four occasions in the Bible where he actually spoke the word. Example: “But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.” Matt 23:8. Example: “For whosoever shall give you a cup of water in my name, because you belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.” Mark 9:41

Jesus referred to Christ in the third person because the title of Christ did not belong to him alone but to all members of the body that partake of the Spirit of God. Because Jesus referred to the Christ in the third person and did not directly proclaim himself as such the Jews were led to exclaim: “How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly?” John 10:24 Even to this direct question Jesus did not proclaim himself to be the Christ. He did not want to set himself up on a pedestal, but identified himself as a Son of Man so the sons of men would look for the Christ within themselves.

Paul said that Jesus manifested God in the flesh (I Tim 3:16) and also that we are to have the same mind as he. On the other hand, because one is manifesting God is not cause to be worshipped by others because God is in them also. Jesus refused to let others exalt him as an idol God or even as a good man any more than his brethren. For instance after a man called him good he said: “Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God.” Matt 19:17 In other words, there is only one life we are to exalt and that is the universal God-life that is in us all for he said: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24.

The Christian world is happy to proclaim that Jesus is God as if he is something we can never be. This is not what Jesus or any of the scriptures says. On the contrary the Bible says: “No man hath seen God at any time…” John 1:18 and “God is a Spirit”. Now Jesus was a man who lived in the flesh and later raised his flesh from the dead and was felt by the apostles and even ate with them. He was seen by thousands of people and when he said “God is a Spirit” he was dwelling in mortal flesh. If Jesus is the one and only God, how is it that he was flesh and bones and was seen by thousands when “no man hath seen God”???

If Jesus in the flesh was God then who was the invisible Spirit he told us to worship?

When I ask Christian Fundamentalists this they merely shake their heads and say it is a great mystery we are not supposed to understand. Such an action reminds me of the words of Paul: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, AND SHALL BE TURNED UNTO FABLES.” II Tim 4:3-4

The truth is quite simple to understand and the Bible is indeed correct when it says: “No man hath seen God” for God is verily one invisible Spirit “dividing to EVERY MAN severally as he will.” I Cor 12:11 God has divided himself so he dwells in billions of lives on this and other worlds. Beings who have manifested that One Life as Jesus did are sometimes called Gods because they become one with the ONE GREAT LIFE, but it doesn’t matter whether that manifestation is through Jesus, Paul, or Shirley MacLaine, we are not seeing the invisible God, we are only seeing His works. That is why Jesus said: “Though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is IN ME, and I in him.” John 10:38

Jesus mentioned the Christ on another interesting occasion: “While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? Whose son is he? They say unto him, the Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in Spirit call him Lord saying: The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.” Matt 22:41-46

No one answered the question of Jesus. If David acknowledged the Christ as his Lord then how could he be his son? The Father is supposed to be Master to the son. The answer is that Jesus, the man, was the son (or descendant) of David, but the universal Christ was not. It dwells in us all including David and is the son of no man.

There is no indication in the Bible that Jesus intended himself to be thought of as a Christ or God any more than other men ought to be. After all, he called himself “the son of man” a title previously given to ordinary humans. He also called all men, even the “least” of them, his “brethren”: “Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these MY BRETHREN, ye have done it UNTO ME.” Matt 25:40 Here is Jesus’ plain and simple acknowledgement that even the lowest of men have Christ and God in them just as Jesus did.

This is not surprising for Paul in speaking of the followers of Christ said: “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Rom 8:29

Jesus, as all believers know is called the firstborn, but here we find that ordinary men and women may even share that title with him for Jesus and the rest of the sons of men are brethren with a similar destiny as taught by Paul: “For both he that sanctifieth (Jesus) and they who are sanctified (followers of Christ) ARE ALL OF ONE: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren.” Heb 2:11

We are supposed to come to “the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the FULNESS OF CHRIST.” Eph. 4:13

To accomplish this Jesus taught that we are supposed to follow in his footsteps: “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” Rev 3:21

If we are to overcome as Jesus did we must examine the key ingredient by which Jesus overcame the world. He revealed this in the statement: “I am come in my FATHER’S NAME, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his OWN NAME, him ye will receive.” John 5:43

This is an amazing statement. Jesus tells us that he was rejected because he bore the name of God whereas if another will come and teach them, not making any claims of God in man, but simply teach as a man in his own name, that this they will accept.

This is still true in the religious world today. Any teaching that man and God are one is immediately rejected by orthodox Christianity and teachings of men in their own name (as men) are accepted.
