Sun Valley, Idaho Symposium - Memorial Weekend, 2005

A 59 Part Podcast of Joseph John (JJ) Dewey Speaking at the 2005 Sun Valley Symposium

Parts 1 through 8

Each year readers of JJ Dewey's book The Immortal and friends from around the world gather together for a three day symposium to learn from JJ Dewey and each other. Many great experiences have been reported. Some report an increase in light, some are healed, all make new friends and have a great time.

A wide variety of religious, philosophical and metaphysical topics are covered during these symposiums. Also throughout the symposiums, there are many opportunities to socialize and enjoy each other's company.

The below listed podcasts only documents the proceedings of classroom activities.

JJ begins the Symposium with a couple of jokes. The first one is about "The Three Degrees of Hell." This is all a lead-in to the question as to whether God has a sense of humor--and then speaks about how humor is a defining aspect between the "representatives of light" and the "representatives of darkness."

JJ continues with a humorous true story about his life-long -- and now departed friend -- Wayne. This is the same Wayne that is in JJ's book, The Immortal. The principle of experience is explained--and why, as humans, we must learn through or by experience.

Why is experience such a great teacher? Do we take all experience with us when we depart this realm? What is the greatest miracle of all? Does God know everything? Is God perfect? How is it that we have come to believe these things?

Where did these teachings that God is perfect and that He is all knowing come from? If we were created in God's image--and we are not perfect nor all knowing--then why would we expect God to be perfect and all knowing? Learn how and why the concept of "perfection" as it is taught or understood--is an illusion. JJ reveals the misuse and mistranslation of ancient words relating to such things as perfection, sin, and many others. What is salvation? What was the main error that Jesus intended for us to be delivered from?

Learn what guilt is and what produces it. What happens when we follow commandments from "the God without"? What happens when you are delivered from guilt? How can you accelerate your spiritual development?

Can you deliver yourself from guilt? What is one of the signs that one still suffers from guilt associated with foundation beliefs that they claim they no longer believe in? What are the various ways we pay off our karmic debts? What was it that Jesus was really offering the disciples if they would follow Him? Why are we here on earth anyway?

What are the advantages of being "a greater life"? But do they know everything? What is and has been the average percentage of accuracy of any prophet? Were all of Jesus' prophecies accurate? Is there anyone who knows all the details of the future? Learn what the difference is between infinity and something being unlimited. Why is the universe expanding?

Why would someone want or need you to believe that you are limited? Does God need us? Why do most religions teach against experience? Who else are you providing experience for or to? Why is experience built into the fabric of the universe? Will we ever be able to escape experience?
