Synopsis:   There probably isn't anyone who hasn't at some time thought about living longer than our present typical life span -- or extending their live span--or at least wished that it were possbile that they could at least improve the quality of their current life. Historically, the pursuit of "eternal life" -- whether it be in this world or whatever world there is to come has become the obsession of some; the subject of folklore and fantasy, and even the objective of science, technology and medicine--or all three. But do we have to wait for science or technology, or the resurrection, or for someone to discover the fabled "The Fountain Of Youth"? Why is it that we seem to be so occupied with this, anyway? Is it simply because we fear death and it's representation of "the unknown"? Or could there be another deeper or even spiritual motivation behind this pre-occupation?

If you are interested in exposing yourself to further teachings on death and related topics, you might wish to read through the chapter of quotes taken from other writings by JJ Dewey entitled, death, rebirth and eternal lives.

JJ has also written quite extensively on the topic of Reincarnation --or multiple mortalities as some refer to this process as being --from two different perspectives.

The first series of articles is basically written for a Christian audience and uses scriptural references from The Bible, and is entitled, Reincarnation. The second series was written for Mormons, LDS or Latter-day Saints, and is called, Eternal Lives.
