Synopsis:   "Health and organic" foods, along with vegetarianism and other modified dietary lifestyles seems to be the present rage -- and overall the desire for a more healthy lifestyle has dramtically risen. We doubt there is anyone who would disagree that "healthy living" is a desireable goal. However, apparently some directly equate spirituality with what they believe to be a healthy lifestyle, and the quality and capacity of a person to do or be what others consider as spiritual. JJ points out that Hitler was a strict vegetarian; did not drink, and otherwise followed a strict code of health; whereas, Winston Churchill drank, smoked cigars and enjoyed his food and life in general which some characterized as one living "in excess."

Most believe that "moderation in all things" is the wisest path. Is it? How can you be "moderate" is you are unable to perceive and discern "the extremes" of an issue?

Might diet -- like other many things -- need to be adhered to in it's "time and season" -- including such practices as fasting? And that it all needs to be done through intelligent, informed decisions -- and applied with wisdom and judgment -- and not through the blind following of some black-and-white regimen as dictated by some supposed "infallible authority"?
