"Unbelievable."

Yes, it's unbelievable that the 0.8 degree Centigrade increase in temperature in 100 years is seen as a bad thing. This increase in temperature has only produced more crops and made life much better for over most of the world. This is one of the reasons that most of the world has not starved to death as alarmists predicted.

JJ:

It is ironic that so many see Pat Robertson's dumb statement as horrific, but give others who say something much more alarming a pass, just because of political bias. For instance, no one on the Left was alarmed at White House Communication's Director -- Anita Dunn's endorsement of the worst mass murderer of all time -- Chairman Mao. He is said to be responsible for the deaths of 70 million of his own people plus many of our soldiers in Korea and Vietnam.

JJ:

There is evidence that there has been some beneficial warming over the last century. However the measurements used to show warming over the last decade seems to be very selective producing questionable results. The most accurate ocean temperature measurements show a cooling trend but believers use the less reliable old surface measurements.

We know the world has had an extremely cold winter but they tell us this was a warm year because of measurements from the northern latitudes where it was warmer than usual. But was it really?

In the 1970s, nearly 600 Canadian weather stations fed surface temperature readings into a global database. Today, NOAA [National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration] only collects data from 35 stations across Canada.

Worse, only one station -- at Eureka on Ellesmere Island -- is now used by NOAA as a temperature gauge for all Canadian territory above the Arctic Circle.

JJ:

It has nothing to do with Glenn Beck. He just showed the video of her actual words. She is caught on video endorsing Mao.

Here... Debunk this:

"Joseph says: 'Here... Debunk this:'

"Cherenkov" then writes:

"With ease, my friend, with ease. What Anita Dunn was saying was that when trying to make a simple point of philosophy she has two favorites she uses, Mao and Mother Theresa."

JJ:

I've quoted some bad guys myself, but I've never said Hitler or Mao, or any other mass murderer, was one of my two favorite philosophers or lumped them with Mother Teresa. Anita Dunn said point blank that Mao was one of her favorite philosophers and no amount of spin can debunk that.

Want to try again?

"Nice reply. Isn't it amazing some people think they know so much more than the true professionals who dedicated their lives to the pursuit of truth and study through science.

"The best they can muster is... it's cold out ha ha ha on global warming, or what will it matter things...."

JJ:

So, then you must agree with the true professionals who are skeptics and say there is no cause for the great alarm. You must have missed my earlier reference:

"Here is Dunn's statement taken from more than one source. Political philosophies of Mao and Mother Teresa (Joe left Mama T out). 'You're going to make choices; you're going to challenge; you're going to say why not; you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before.'"

JJ:

That's like Pat Robertson saying the witch doctors really try hard to succeed.

"Nunyer":

"We all make choices. Joe chooses Pat Robertson over the Haitians."

JJ:

I expect an apology for spreading this absolute lie about me.

More Democrats watch Fox News than any other news channel. LOL

"Nobody cares who you've quoted. This discussion is obviously beyond your ken."

JJ:

Such a comment shows your total lack of ability to debunk Anita Dunn's quote

.

Checkmate.

"For Joseph and Joe and that other chick, here is a Maoism you can all study.

"You can't solve a problem? Well, get down and investigate the present facts and its past history! When you have investigated the problem thoroughly, you will know how to solve it. Conclusions invariably come after investigation, and not before."

JJ:

Sounds like something Hitler would say. Is he also one of your favorite philosophers? Sounds like you like Mao.

Jan 26, 2010 -- Post #11

"Camerafan":

"Exactly. Her words were taken out of context. And look at who jumped on it."

JJ:

Wrong. They were quoted in context. See the video for yourself. How can "this is one of my favorite philosophers" be out of context? What other meaning can you assign to it?

And Pat Robertson was also taken out of context, right? Robertson may be half crazy, but at least he's not throwing his support behind history's greatest mass murderer. Dunn makes Robertson look like Mother Teresa by comparison.

Jan 26, 2010 -- Post #12

"Nunyer":

"We throw around the word 'victim' a little loosely sometimes. But the Haitians are true victims and to minimize Robertson's extraordinarily inhumane comments does not become you."

JJ:

I'm not minimizing anything but putting things in perspective. He made a stupid statement but as far as I can see it's not doing any harm. We are allowed to be dumb if we want. On the other hand, the Left seems to be maximizing his mistake trying to make him look as bad or worse than Mao. After all, they will quote Mao, but wouldn't dream of quoting Robertson.

Jan 26, 2010 -- Post #13

"Blarney":

"Pat Robertson does indeed throw his support behind history's greatest mass murderer: God."

JJ:

You must be talking about your God, Chairman Mao.

"Obama's approval rating was at 50 percent today."

JJ:

What are you going by -- The Daily Kos poll, the only one that didn't show Scott Brown winning in Massachusetts? The CBS poll above shows only 40 percent approval and evil Fox at 45 percent. Gallup has him at 48 percent. Every major poll I have seen has him below 50 percent. Gallup also has him as the most polarizing first year president since it began polling.

Speaking of polls, polling has shown that Fox is the most trusted network on and off Cable, beating the nearest competitor by 10 percent:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0110/32039.html

I'm sure the Left will be happy to hear this since more Democrats watch Fox than any other cable network.

What is there about Lefties such as Chuck Davis who are constantly bellyaching about their country and their home state? Do these guys also think they are born into the worst family and live in the least desirable neighborhood in the most abhorrent city also?

I wouldn't be surprised.

Dick Lee doesn't seem aware that we could make cuts in education by cutting out the pork. Nationally we spend [USD] $9600 per student and teachers only get a small portion of that. If we did away with half the administration no harm would be done.

Roy asks:

"Will Idaho be the first state where all social responsibility is privatized?"

JJ:

We can only hope.

Mr. Boehme writes:

"I think that any discussion of health care costs should be directed more to the source of these outlandish costs, namely the practitioners and hospitals."

JJ:

At last, some common sense. Hearing all the criticism of health insurers you would think their premiums are based on arbitrary greed. Boehme is one of the few that understand that if costs go up the premiums must go up.

And, by the way, premiums will go way up if they are forced to insure all risks, so don't complain if you supported health care reform and this happens.

Great website given by Mr. Norberg:

www.usdebtclock.org

If every Lefty were forced to use this for a screensaver the country would be a lot better off.
