JJ:

The question is that if the consensus of global warming scientists is so accurate that we need to invest trillions because of it then why does the consensus keep changing? The consensus of each IPCC [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] report differs dramatically from the one before -- over 50 percent and more in some areas.

Now we see that the original land measurements have been trashed and only questionable algorithms remain the next consensus should be interesting.

One thing I can guarantee is the next consensus will be different from the last one.

Meanwhile the skeptics have been quite consistent.

Sheila Ford says:

"The "health care" bill establishes government entities dictating how much doctors and insurance companies can charge and allowable coverage."

JJ:

If this is correct then we can expect results similar to Nixon's wage and price controls. That's one thing Nixon did the Left was happy to support and it turned into a disaster and had to be scrapped. Why does anyone think results would be different by applying this concept to health care?

Those who have power to tell others what to charge have full power to destroy them.

Obama promised no new taxes for those who make less than $250,000. His robotic followers claimed to believe him but deep inside I think even they knew this was one giant deception. The tax on stock traded is just one of many proposed that will affect average people who are far from being rich.

Does Obama ever remind his fellow Democrats that all these new taxes break his promise? Of course not. He acquiesces to anything that transfers wealth from you and me to Big Brother.

"Kristen Lynch, I'm sure the person who paid for your shake was a liberal Democrat. No conservative Republican could possibly be responsible for such a heartfelt act."

JJ:

Studies show that conservatives give more to charity than liberals. Bush gave about 14 percent of his income to charity and Gore gave around 0.1 percent. Who do you see donating and helping the Haitians? Atheists, socialists? Not hardly. Liberal hero [Venezuela's Hugo] Chaves set a single plane of supplies. Every day you see Christians giving their all.

"Badnana":

"This tax would be for all who trade stocks, a flat tax, regardless of income, so saddling this with '$250,000 or less' admonishment is a stretch not worthy of debate."

JJ:

Obama didn't say that the no tax increase would apply only to income tax. He said point blank "no tax increase."

At the time I figured he would support many other back door tax increases and then disingenuously state that he only meant the income tax in his statement. Looks like he is just saying nothing instead on this and other taxes like cigarettes for example. Now that's a tax on the poor.

There was one thing that bothered Jefferson more than out of control bankers and that was an out of control government. The one we have today would make him turn over in his grave.

"As I've pointed out before 'Homebrew,' your obsession with those people you perceive to be 'unworthy' is just that -- an obsession. It blinds you to the benefits many of these programs will bring to many many worthy citizens in case someone 'unworthy' could take advantage. In the meantime, while....""

JJ:

"Homebrew's" concern (not obsession) can be compared to a family that makes $1000 a month and has expenses of $1500 a month. Then it finds itself borrowing $600 a month to have $100 stimulus. When they realize their awful situation it is called concern -- not obsession."

JJ:

I agree with Kenneth Huston on the benefit of tax cuts and we would have been better off just giving everyone a tax holiday for a year rather than borrow close to a trillion dollars and throw it down a black hole of political favors. And to think followers had the gullibility to believe the stimulus was essential to keep the unemployment rate below 8 percent. Anyone who knew what was going on did not expect much good to happen. We're lucky unemployment has only risen to 10 percent.

In addition to tax cuts we must also reduce spending. Both Democrats and Republicans have dropped the ball in this regard. If we continue on this program of mindless borrowing and spending then tax cuts will only delay disaster rather than prevent it.

"Regarding the Rally (of the tea party people) today at the Statehouse: Look for me, I'll have the sign saying, 'Why do you HATE America' on one side and 'Support our Government' on the other side.

"I'll probably have THOUSANDS behind me."

JJ:

You are right out of the Ministry of Truth from Orwell's "1984" to have a sign accusing those who love America of hating America. They hate what you and your brothers in illusion want to do to America.

JJ:

Every war is a war of choice. Afghanistan was a war of choice. Of the two Iraq was the more important and will have the longer lasting positive results. We are actually bringing stability there and if a democracy flourishes then it will change the face of the Middle East.

"Joseph did you get Orwell's book for Christmas? It sure has been on your mind lately. Did you think of it a lot when Bush was naming 'Clean Air Act' and when he claimed 'Mission Accomplished?'"

JJ:

I read "1984" many years ago. Bush reduced greenhouse gasses during his administration and the "Mission Accomplished" mentioned on the banner was accurate, for the Navy that created it had accomplished their particular mission in their part in defeating Saddam Hussein. You are reversing truth Big Brother style.

"Apapa" wrote about the Tea Party:

"By the way, it's not hard to lead people about getting mad when they're undereducated & toothless."

JJ:

I participated in two Tea Party events and saw no one that was toothless. Unlike Lefties possessed of extreme judgmentalism, I cannot tell a person's education by looking at them; however, the ones I talked to were intelligent enough to beat Obama in a debate.

"Apapa":

"You ask even the supposed leaders of these events why they are there and they'll blame Obama for everything."

JJ:

Obviously you are getting your information on the Tea Party movement from the hate sites and not the source. We blame the leaders of both parties for the problems before us. Obama's reckless spending motivated us to action. We had problems with leaders before him but the surge in spending and Big Brother health care forced us to action.

"Apapa":

"What a bunch of heartless, forgetful and thoughtless people who run these 'tea parties.'"

JJ:

And you think this because? And your bunch breaking promises and conspiring behind closed doors are like Jesus, right?

"Apapa":

"They had no problems with Government handouts to banks and insurance companies."

JJ:

Who is "they"? We are against all government handouts or giveaways to business or interest groups.

"Apapa":

"Then it's no problem, but helping real Americans who are suffering and then our Government is suddenly too big."

JJ:

And who are the people who are really suffering? Most of those with the real suffering are the 10 percent who are without a job. Obama's trillion dollar earmark handout did more harm than good increasing unemployment from 8 percent to 10 percent. Either lack of intelligence or heartlessness lead to this increase when they had close to a trillion dollars to work with.

"Apapa":

"Capitalism was DEAD when President Obama took office and it's still dead."

JJ:

You'd better hope that it is not dead. It's dead in N. Korea ad they eat tree bark to survive and have no toilet paper in Cuba. I don't see your bunch fleeing to these socialist havens.

Against your poor judgment the Tea Parties will work to keep capitalism alive, an end that will benefit you and your family.

"HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!...let me get this right....you're saying democrats are judgmental and religious people are not? Hahahaahahahahha!"

JJ:

Your laughter just illustrates the illusion you are in because you are so sequestered from facts and reality.

The Left is much more judgmental than the most right wing Bible believers. You only have to read this forum and the one the other day against Sarah Palin to discover that obvious fact. Just look at the post I replied to judging people like me to be "heartless."

"Manikin" wrote:

"Second HAHAHAAH moment...you think that people you met at a Tea Party event could graduate and be editor at Harvard Law review?"

JJ:

Yes, I do. Also, we don't have any idea how good of a job Obama did because his writings there are not available.

You guys are on a high horse thinking you are so intelligent while insulating yourself from intelligent debate. Al Gore is a great example of a Lefty who refuses to debate global warming or even allow dissenting questions.

Only on a forum like this can one confront Lefties with any type of reality. They are normally so shielded that all they can do is laugh when the meet real intelligence.

"Manikin" wrote:

"Saying that a bunch of people at a political rally can out debate a person with the educational background as Obama is purely insane."

JJ:

I could out debate any Lefty on any subject with which I disagree, even one that I know little about. All it would take is a couple days preparation and I could demolish him because Lefties do not take a stand on points of logic and reason. Reason always trumps illusion.

An "unknown person" wrote:

"Yeah like the Patriot Act. Oh wait, that was a Republican Congress, Senate, and a President that gave the FBI [Federal Bureau of Investigation] the right to tap our lines."

Without the Democrats it would not have been voted in and Obama must love it because he's keeping it. So complain to Obama, Pelosi and Reid. Besides, no one will tap your phone. You are not calling terrorists in Afghanistan.

JJ:

We didn't have a Big Brother take-over-our-lives-health-care proposal under Bush. We didn't have a trillion dollar stimulus going to earmarks when we were promised no earmarks. We didn't have a push toward cap and trade that can ruin us. Whatever Bush did wrong just multiply it by three -- that's the current situation.

"Sweetlou" wrote:

"How come there are so many white people on welfare?? Especially in this state? I thought according to the Republicans and Faux News that only Black people were on welfare."

JJ:

You're twisting the truth Lefty style. Lefties say that Republicans and Fox thinks this way. They just make this up because they have no real facts to argue with. I can prove anything with declarations made up out of thin air.

According to your own web site reference Idaho has much fewer people on food stamps than the more liberal Oregon and Washington which are good comparable because they are in the Northwest.

"Snakehead" wrote:

Go ahead. Believe this delusion which will be shattered tomorrow night when Brown takes the Senate in Massachusetts. The Republican party hasn't changed that much in 50 years. It's always been composed of conservatives, libertarians and moderates.
