The word "Move" is a great hint for the first keyword. The question is what causes you to move? What do you do internally before a motion takes place? Without movement there is no life, but there is something that both your lower and higher self share that precedes motion and action. The answer is not "thought."

I agree with you in the statement "Be still and know that I am God." It has more depth than you can imagine and is a key to power. If one has a full understanding of the phrase he can even overcome death and visit all worlds.

You have given me a great compliment by telling me that now you ponder the words you read rather than just accepting them. Isn't it funny how upside down thinking makes many think that the keys are a method of forcing you not to think?

I just had another female student make a similar comment about restlessness and motion that you did. She also said that whereas she has been previously listening to bells and running water in New Age type music she is now listening to high energy rock. This change indicates a down flow of spiritual energy.

I really feel you are making some interesting progress here. You seem to be doing some spiritual reflection that surprises even me.

Your answers are some of the most well thought out I have received. Discrimination is another good answer. It is closely related to a second aspect or quality shared by the lower and higher selves. All three of the aspects are important to view as a whole to understand who/what you are. You have virtually got one and a half key words, but first things first.

There is one certain quality or ability that you have that is shared by your lower and higher self that determines who you are and what you will be.

Go back and reread the correct translation of the name God gave to Moses. It was not directly related to perception or discrimination, but with another ability.

I've heard of the White Eagle books but haven't read them. If you want to read Alice A. Bailey "A Treatise in White Magic" is a good one to start with. These books use many technical words that make understanding difficult at first. You should also buy the "Occult Glossary" by G. de Purucker. If I would have had this when I started my studies things would have been much easier.

The principles build upon each other. It is most beneficial that we cover one at a time. In the meantime the Alice A. Bailey books will give you enough filler for several lifetimes.

How have you been doing. It looks like you must have decided to stay on line. I have the feeling you will be around a while.

Have you been doing any more thinking about the first key? You are getting to the point that all the regular guesses at the keyword is taken up and soon only the right one will be left.

I will give you another hint. Another lady just guessed the word "motion." I told her that this was not the word, but it was close. The key word we are looking for is the cause of all motion. Think. What do you do before you take an action. Not thought. It is between thought and motion and it is an ability possessed by both the higher and lower selves.

Sounds like you are making a lot of good friends. Don't you wish you could type at about 200 words a minute? It won't be long before we can dictate to our computers.

Did you read my latest posting called "Black is White." Notice that I'm finally getting some positive postings. I think the forum has reached the point where it will be more positive than negative.

I have been making some comments in the folder "The second coming has occurred." and talking to the founder of the folder. I've been giving her a bad time -- asking her too many questions that the new Christ does not want to answer.

Comesta, my friend, wake from sleep!
Why do you advocate freedom of speech
Only for those who think as you direct?
But for those of us who do dissect,
You ask us to not write our words
And keep our thoughts from being heard.
This contradiction seems strange to me
Is it just yourself who deserves to be free?

The Pendulum

The evolution of mankind corresponds to the motion of a great pendulum. In the beginning the motion was small. Then it seemed as if a great force amplified its motion until the swing back and forth became very pronounced. Then there came a time of maximum swing and the general force of the pendulum began to subside.

There are two forces involved here. The first is the power that swings the pendulum itself. The second is the power of the swing from the right to left and left to right. Our little wills have little to do with the power that swings, but we directly participate in the swing itself.

Between the swings there is a midway point, the point identified with stillness, as if the pendulum were not in motion. The journeys of mankind with the force of the pendulum that goes to the left and the right are journeys into experience and illusions. The crossing of the midway point is the crossing of the middle way which is a point of truth which is always registered to some degree, but as humanity swings from the left to right and right to left they are taken away from the point of brightness until it is remembered with dimness. Then comes the time the great voice is heard: "O my people, You have forgotten your one true God. The time of passing over my face is come again. I call forth my servants to see the midway point and swing my people over the flash of light that will be seen."

After the voice speaks those who register the voice go forth and grab hold of the force that is swinging to the right (or left) and with great effort, pain, joy and resistance reverse it and pull the people toward the Presence of the great Master. The swing is reversed according to the decree and the servants rejoice when the swing crosses the light, love and power of their Lord, but are saddened when the swing does not stop but continues until it reaches the other extreme.

The servants seem discouraged for a time and feel as if their efforts are in vain but at a point of darkness they hear their Lord again:

"Well done my faithful servants. The force did not stop at my Presence on this swing, but notice that because of your efforts the swing is not as great now. Go and pull the swing back the other way now and then do it again. Each time the people pass by My Face the light will be a little clearer until the motion stops and all the sons of men and daughters of women will be still and know that I AM BECOMING through them and they are BEING through Me and our joy will be full."

So it is the beliefs of the people swing toward one extreme. Then the teachers of mankind realize that the other side is not being presented and teach the other extreme. In their life the teachers are persecuted and shunned but in their death they are remembered with great honor as the people seem to miss the point of truth again and swing to the other extreme.

For instance Moses presented impossible black and white rules by which to serve God and Paul presented a simple "believe-and-be-saved" extreme. Both were great teachers, but both took mankind into great illusion on each extreme of the pendulum. This experience is necessary, however, because humanity as a whole, and as individuals, must go to the extremes time and time again before the point of truth in the middle can be accurately seen and appreciated.

The understanding of the second key is the understanding of how to find the midway point of truth in all things. With a physical pendulum finding the midway point seems easy. This point seems to be exactly between the two extremes, but here is a hint. The true middle way is the eventual point whereon the pendulum will stop, but the exact midway point between the two swings of the pendulum is not this same point. This is an illusionary midway point with a real physical pendulum and also with the vision of mankind. To find the true midway point the veils of illusion must be penetrated. But how? There is a keyword we are looking for here.
