many of us here, including me, who are closer to becoming mentally
sluggish and crystallized as we grow older each year, by asking
harder questions which force us to think even more.

continuous studying, learning knowledge and truth, so that the
ring-pass-not or our consciousness can keep expanding even after the
age of 53-54, and if JJ can do it, then that gives me hope that I can
keep expanding too as I age, and hopefully all those who feel the
thickening like honey begin in their bodies can keep moving forwards
as well."

understanding what is being taught in "Principle 15", as when I re-

"And then read the quote in the context of the entire article at:

"I was unable to find any mention of any age related "mental
sluggishness" as being the cause or focus of what JJ (or even DK)
meant to describe as being "crystallization."
"Nor could I find any mention of JJ or anyone else (like a teacher,
etc.) of having any kind of responsibility to keep us from
becoming "crystallized" or doing anything to or for those who, after
becoming aware of their "crystallization."
"All I could find was that it was OUR sole responsibility for
addressing, preventing or reversing this, and that we were the ones
required to invoke a both "a conscious effort" and "force of Will" in
order to overcome or stay ahead of what I believe is being
described/taught here as "crystallization."
"I did however, find some 'key' words and phrases in both references
which I think are important to arriving at what I understand or
perceive as being (or intended to be) taught.
"Here they are:
"'mentally lazy'
"'attitude'
"'stagnation'
"'inflexible attitude'
"'make new decisions'
"'One must make new decisions and follow them through or continue to
work toward objectives not yet accomplished.'
"'He [She] may be very proficient and distinguished in his [her]
field, but [her] his progression for this life is at that point at a
halt and unfortunately he [she] cannot seem to muster enough reason
to see his [her] situation clearly.'
"'One cannot relax and retire from ambition and thought and this takes
an act of Will.'
"'Am I pushing myself to always learn more and acquire new abilities?'
"From my reading of this principle I find more information indicating
that 'crystallization' is a result of am attitude or 'state of mind'
than any direct or one-to-one relationship made between age and
what I believe/understand as being taught as 'crystallization.'
"I personally have run into people all my life who were and/or
are crystallized' -- or what I use to call at the time as 'being
stuck.'
"The comments that I made in my post were meant as an attempt at self-
deprecating 'tongue-in-cheek' humor intended to make fun of myself
and my lack of attention to detail -- and was NOT meant as a
statement of what I perceive my own personal state
of 'crystallization' might be -- OR what my understanding is (or
might be) of this principle to mean -- or how it was meant to be
applied -- as in -- it was a PURPOSEFUL misapplication of the
principle; i.e., much in the same way both Melva and I now can use
the phrase 'a senior moment' to illicit a laugh and a light-hearted
excuse to one another (and others) when we mess up.
"As really in addition to writing a reply to JJ's post, I was
simultaneously writing to JJ off-list about a website matter, working
on The Archives, talking to Melva -- and trying to hurry up and
finish all of these tasks cuz breakfast was about to be served --
which at that moment was the more important 'task' to attend to! (big grin)"
JJ:
I think Ruth was referring to my previous comments on DK's [Djwhal Khul] teachings
that most people crystallize around the age of 56. I have commented
on this several times and I believe I have taught the figure was
somewhere around 90%.
I expanded on this and said that crystallization is linked to our
Saturn cycle of approximately 29.5 years and many crystallize as early
as the first Saturn cycle. They learn what they need to know to make
a living and pretty much cease life changing learning from that point on.
Now that I am sixty-three and have watched many associates through the
years age I can certainly see that this is a true principle. I
learned the truth of it around the end of my first Saturn cycle so
that has given me some decades to observe it.
I think Ruth was seeing me as an example rather than having
responsibility for her. Yes, I am still learning many new things and
principles and hope to as long ass I am privileged to continue in the
flesh.
As far as crystallization goes identifying it can be illusive for the
crystallized person can still learn data but he is very reluctant to
alter his thinking, see principles or start in a new direction.
One easy way to identify some older people who are crystallized is
that they will refuse to learn about computers or other new-fangled
gadgets.
