Gathering 2007

2007-1-10 05:13:00

My Friends,

Just in case you didn't know, Ohio State lost to Florida in the championship college football game and that leaves Boise State as the only undefeated team in the nation. Because we are not considered in the big leagues we are rated number five instead of number one. That's still a big deal for us. Also, many are calling the game we played against Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl the greatest game of the century. I know it's the best game I've ever seen.

On a different note we finally have a date for the gathering. We put in for a reservation months ago but I guess they have to see where their big or regular clients line up before they fill other reservations.

Other than starting a day or two later than usual we pretty much got the date we wanted. We will have to start Saturday rather than Thursday or Friday as in the past.

The 2007 Gathering will be in McCall, Idaho in the same place as the first one (2000) in the University of Idaho Campground by the lake. It will run from Saturday, July 28, 2007 to checkout time of Wednesday morning, August 1.

Costs will be comparable to past gatherings which were (USD) 299.50 for singles and (USD) 560 for couples. We will analyze expenses and give more details in a few days. We will also have boat rides included - something we have not done before.

Artie would like those of you who plan on coming to contact us as soon as possible so we can get an idea of how many we need to prepare for.

On a third note, we have the audio book of Book I ready for distribution. We will be sending them out to around 1000 libraries shortly. It will be interesting to see the results.

Anyone who wants to help can let us know and we will send you some free of charge to give out to anyone you think may be interested. We will send up to 12 free, and if that works out we will send more.

The audio books are in MP3 format on a CD and can be played on any MP3 player, most computers and most DVD movie players.

Speak clearly, if you speak at all; carve every word before you let it fall.
