The Passion of Christ

My Friends,

Yesterday a landmark movie was released - The Passion of Christ. It had the second largest opening day in history for a Wednesday. Obviously, it is going to have a big impact on the world.

I have not seen it yet and probably won't see it for a week or so, but have heard endless discussions about it.

Perhaps some of you will be going to it over the next few days. If so I would like you to write a short review and post it to the group.

In addition all are welcome to answer these questions.

(1) What type of impact will the movie have on public consciousness as a whole? Will the impact be different for the religious, the spiritual and the non religious?

(2) Will the movie be a source of enlightenment to average people?

(3) What type of consciousness will be most greatly effected by the movie?

(4) Why are so many people condemning this movie while praising regular violence movies such as Kill Bill and Natural Born Killers?

(5) Will this increase the interest in the teachings of Christ?

Those of you who see the movie, please don't tell us how it ends.

Interesting Trivia: During the filming Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus, was struck by lightening. His body glowed and smoke came from his head, but he was not injured. He said this only one of a number of miracles that occurred on the set.
