Keith:
O.K. - the chapter was a mind blower as always! The content is so rich that one's mind is overwhelmed. One is rendered speechless. One's mouth hangs open in awe.

JJ:
How can I ignore such a great compliment? I ought to use this on the page of book comments. By the way, when the book is finished I will invite Keys members to make comments and will include some of them in the introductory pages of the book.

Keith:
Just a couple of things: the 100,000 year sword of the D.B.'s. I was wondering under what conditions such a sword was wrought? It kind of reminded me of the mythology within Tolkien's story of the rings and how they were created. I can imagine something similar. One ring to rule them all. I'm sure the D.B's have a back-up version - probably not quite as well crafted. The other thought which came to mind was the Dark Master. If I were betting money I think he will escape again. If I were him I would exit to another planetary system a little earlier than anticipated. One's exit strategy should be conducted while there is still an abundance of life-force left. Leave the underlings to cannibalize each other for life force at the end.

JJ:
The Dark Master is the most likely to survive, unless he is ganged up on. Philo is enterprising enough to have a chance. And yes, the Dark Brotherhood has back-up artifacts.

Rapter Keith:
(The D.B who first recognized Excalibur must not be one of the human D.B.'s. The creature must have seen it before. Now this leads to an obvious question. If some of the D.B.'s knew what Excalibur was, then why did they allow Elizabeth of come along for the ride? This doesn't make any sense from their viewpoint - definitely a tactical error on their part.)

JJ:
This is why they had Philo make sure there was no danger or threat to them before they manifested themselves. They felt they were secure, but, of course, were overconfident.

Now to go to another post by Keith:
O.K. the equation: Decision + Attention = Consciousness. Now, I think for 99.9% of the world this equation does not apply. The following equation applies: Decision + Blank = Unconsciousness. Or the lack of attention gives way to unconsciousness. One can be awake physically and still be unconscious. This is possible because Decision can be exercised without attention or discernment.

JJ:
All self conscious beings have their attention on something, even in sleep. What happens when we fall asleep is not a loss of attention but a shifting of attention. Our tired bodies cause our attention to be removed from the physical and placed upon the mental thread that connects us to soul. This removes our conscious attention to other places that we cannot normally remember when we awake.

People of lower evolution have attention on the form side instead of the light that reveals more than form. The Dark Brothers have their attention on self.

Keith:
Why do I say that? Because 99.9% of humanity bleed attention like a sieve. Our attention is continually diverted outside of ourselves towards non-essentials. When this happens the equation J.J has revealed to us breaks down. Only a self-conscious being who's attention is focused continually in the light is conscious.>

JJ:
Most people have unfocussed attention, but it is still attention. The key to creation and accomplishment is indeed focused attention.

Keith:
The question then becomes; how do we become continually attentive to essentials? And what are the essentials? The essentials are obviously the things of God? By placing your attention on Godly things (decision) you become conscious of God. You might even become God conscious?

JJ:
Good and true statement, Keith.

Keith:
This brings me back of to the middle way: somehow the lost middle way must be a method of becoming continually attentive to Godly things by continually correcting one's aim.

Rapter Keith (My attention must stop bleeding valuable energy - the oil in our lamps must stop spilling attention everywhere willy-nilly.)

JJ:
The Middle way does require focused attention and will soon be revealed in the book. The influence of the Dark Brotherhood on society is significant when you note all the mechanisms in play to relieve us of focusing our attention through self will and depending on authority, big government, institutions, entitlements etc.
