To anyone and everyone that I may have offended~~I unequivocally ask for your forgiveness. I don't see where my initial post was a baiting of any kind, for at the time, I was not even thinking in terms of "occultist vs. mystic," and I generally do not think in those terms. But if you see it that way, it surely must have been my error in communication, or perhaps a fault in my own spirit or personality. I have tried to be honest and not contentious. As I stated before, I seek a meeting of the minds and spirits. If I have failed in this, or if I have offended anyone, I truly apologize.
I don't think anyone expects an apology, but some may disagree with your approach just as some disagree with mine and may express themselves on it.
I took JJ and others at their word, in previous postings, that it was ok to disagree and speak one's mind on this forum. Perhaps I was mistaken and misunderstood what was communicated in that regard as well.
No, you were not mistaken, but just as you have the right to disagree with me and express it, even so do others have the right to disagree with you and express themselves.
Our only rule on this is that we do not resort to name calling and outright rudeness and that the disagreement does not lead us so far off the topic that it becomes a problem to members and the presentation of the teachings. When this happens it is usually not me or Rick that calls for order, but members themselves through posting. Then too, if you rub Diane the wrong way she may return your post to you. Fortunately, she is a Lord of Compassion in training and does not bite.
I'll write more about the mystic and the occultist shortly.
