You're doing a great job here Larry. We are both seeing through the same eyes. You are wise to point out that the fulfillment of an inspired prophesy should correspond to all parts of that prophesy.
The Printing Press, for instance, is a good guess for the deadly wound, but it does not fit all the perimeters. When Gutenburg's progress appeared in 1440 the Beast of authority was still alive and well and continued strong for centuries.
It would also be difficult to fit in a time when the deadly wound was healed. This would indicate a time that the printed word would have no effect which does not seem probable.
The Internet is also a good guess, but it has been around for some time and has had little effect on the powers that be. It does have potential for great change, however. It has also appeared later than the prophesy indicates.
When you think of it the only real death blow to the kings (kingdoms -authorities) of the earth was the creation of the United States, its Constitution and free spirited people. I say this not because of nationalistic pride, but as an objective observer.
It is true that the ingredients of U.S. government were in existence in various times and climes, but none struck a death blow to the world wide powers that be. In addition there are many other nations which have since copied the U.S. Constitution - some almost word for word.
All the ingredients are here - the two horns like a lamb, the bringing fire and great glory from uranium, the time frame, the symbol of the eagle and finally, the healing of the deadly wound. Nothing else on the physical level fits all the predictions.
Now some maintain that it is a futile effort to attempt to find the truth of such prophesies as this, but to say this is to set aside the law of cycles and future vision and meaning in correspondences.
I personally have found great value in contemplating the predictions in the Revelation of John and find the accuracy of his words amazing. It is truly helpful to understand the meaning of the beast and its unjust authority which has an effect on every man woman and child on the planet.
The idea that contemplating the meaning of the Beast will give it more power I see as pure illusion in most cases. From my observation the opposite is true. Those who do not give such things a second thought are the ones who would be the first to lie down and roll over and even die for the beast.
Contemplate this.

Who was the lone voice in the wilderness for seven years researching, studying, teaching and warning about Hitler???
It was Churchill. Many thought he was close to the brink of insanity for being so obsessed with Hitler and the Nazis when they seemed so harmless. I'm sure that some even accused him of acting out of fear.
The truth is that he acted out of common sense and soul contact and in the end led the allies to the defeat of the greatest threat to freedom the world has ever faced.
Thank God he was not afraid of looking at the terrible situation the world faced. Thank God he was not afraid of fear. And this is an interesting point. Do we avoid talking about anything that may engender fear because we are afraid of fear?
Fear of fear is one of the greatest tools of the beast. To speak of fearful things without fear is to overcome the fear of fear and for this quality, as expressed by Churchill, the world owes a great debt.
