I also noticed a BLATANT contradiction in something that you recently wrote, JJ. You told Rapter a while back to expect a deep depression or sort of Dark Night after he had experienced The Light [usually within 3 days] and then yesterday you commented that once one has an experience of such as being in the Light they will never come down out of the presence of God. And that, I guess, this is a way to determine that the experience is of God. Could you please tell us which statement is true the first or the latter?

JJ
Both of my statements are true as I wrote them.

When a person first experiences the spiritual fire he will usually have an initial endowment of power that will have a residual effect for about three days. After this effect is worn off he is then tempted by negative forces which attempt to nullify the spiritual experience and make it in his mind as if nothing even happened.

I think Keith will verify that this happened to him.

As the disciple progresses towards the Spirit, he will be able to hold the presence for longer periods and eventually neutralize the opposing forces that come against him. Then he will have long periods where he is one with the Presence.

But even here the troubles are not over, for the negative forces then reflect off of him or her and attack those who are close to him in an attempt to divert the focus of the disciple from divine Purpose.

To solve the problem of duality we must first discern the two opposing sides in all things, whether it be male/female, good/evil, positive/negative, spiritual/material or conservative/liberal. Two Sides or One?, March 20, 1999
